I've written a more detailed review…

I've written a more detailed review over at Product Review with photos and a video of the condition the phone was in when sending and the photos they have accused the phone of arriving in which is completely and utterly fraudulent and WILL be reported to the police.

I am leaving this review here to warn other people since I used to work in Fair Trading I have had the displeasure of dealing with companies in the past that have tried this fraudulent actives on consumers, with most matters being refereed to police and action taken.

The only defense the company has is "Why would we do this" , well it is quite simple even for the most ignorant person out there, which is you advertise a price then end up paying out less to the consumer, so it is in your own best interests like most businesses that pull these scams or fraudulent behavior, it is to make money / more money.

This is why I advise consumers always to take photos and videos for proof to help police make a case against businesses like this.

This is a pure open and shut case, the evidence is clear.

*Edit in response to owner

Firstly as I already stated the phone was my second phone placed on my desk, that's where it stayed, it never was placed in my pocket, it was my back up phone and I've stated this previously but nice try.

The phones cover goes yellow over time with age, it is plastic, all my friends have had this happen as well but again, nice try.

The photos and video shows the condition of the phone, this isn't the first negative review you guys have had and now you are simply trying to cover your tracks, I've also left an update on product review as per your threats over email in getting your lawyer involved (typical guilty business practice) and I welcomed this because he can deal with the police and you can end up having the nice bill with lawyers fees at the end.

This all for "$30"" as you are so keen to point out, you sure are going out of your way for a mere $30. The only reason you would be saying all this, plus your email is to try and cover I'm not sure how many people you have fraudulently scammed, because that's where the real profits are, obviously not with one person otherwise you wouldn't even be making a big deal about it.

Instead this is obviously a regular occurrence as per the other reviews as well, and the police will get to the bottom of this believe me.

Hello Vaughan
We don't appreciate being accused and slandered for a miserable $30 extra profit that you make while we lose over $50 in sending and receiving by registered post and Administration costs!

The facts are visible and don't lie!

You are trying to be deceitful with this video (link below) you have of your device, moving the camera fast where the screen condition cannot be seen. The Google Pixel phone you have used is clearer!

We have sent you professional pics of the screen, (Link below) where you actually see the light scratches and scuff marks which normally occur by placing your phone in a pocket or turning it upside down on a hard surface. You have admitted on your video the case has turned yellow. So, it's a phone you have been using daily without a screen protector.

But instead, you accused us damaging your phone...

During the selection of your device we have a link called 'Tips to assess the condition of your device' https://tinyurl.com/ypj4a3ns If you have watched this you could see exactly what we look for in devices and you would of think twice before being deceitful!

On top off all this you gave us a negative review on Trustpilot and Google. But once again as you are deceitful and full of spite you had your wife Maria Kristina Gonzales also left a negative review thinking you are a genius! But as you can see, we caught you out!

Looking at your Google and Trustpilot reviews it's quite apparent that you are spiteful and have left over 70% negative reviews on good business so you can feel the rush of being a keyboard warrior.

misleading and inaccurate

price quoted on sellyourmobile isfar higher than the price offered by buyer. Misleading

regarding the answer to my review, it just highlights the firms lack of competence as I have not sold any item to them because, see above, the price they quoted to buy my PHONE was far lower than that advertised.

First of all you cost our company $40 in postage and administration fees!
Let's talk the truth!
You sent us a first generation samsung watch as the watch 3 where we do not buy this device and it is not on our website. You also sent a Samsung S9 as Mint condition where it should of been poor due to the heavy scratches!
And we get the negative review!
Thanks for wasting our time and money!

Scammers

UnfortunateyI didn’t see the reviews from this company before I sent away my IPhone 8. The phone was in genuine “good” but used condition. They sent photos of a phone with a heavily scratched screen claiming it to be the one I sent, downgraded the condition and payment offer. Avoid avoid avoid. Sending a complaint to Consumer Affairs.

Yes, you did send in the phone with a heavily scratched screen which a blind person would of spotted a mile away!
How dare you accuse us of fowl play!
If we are trying to scam you, why did you accept the offer by email? and as you stated here that you will be sending a complaint to Consumer Affairs?
We don't want your business as we are sending your device back and hopefully you will feel embarrassed when you see that's the phone you sent us.

Sell your mobile are not very nice People to deal with

Sell your mobile are not very nice people to deal with. They offered me $590.00 for my I Phone 11 PRO MAX after they had checked that I Phone they had called about an hour later and they had told me that my I Phone is faulty and is only worth $300.00 .

You sent in your phone as in MINT condition but it had scratches on the screen so we graded down to GOOD condition which you agreed by email.
We then tested your device and the face ID did not pass as it took 2 minutes to set up due to not recognizing the face. We noticed the screen on the phone was also replaced with a really BAD quality screen and looks like the face ID ribbon was damaged during the process.
We called you personally to explain the issue and asked you what you wanted us to do and you wanted your device back which we told you it will be done on Monday but you insisted that it be sent the same day at 4pm on a Friday!
You tried to sell us a dud phone and when you couldn't get away with it, threw a tantrum and started abusing my staff!

Exactly As Advertised

Wonderful. I put in my phone specs, they gave me a price. The envelope arrived quickly, even during covid times. All communication was swift and polite.

They recieved my phone on a Friday, and I had the agreed money by Monday lunchtime. Absolutely thrilled.

Will definately be using them again.

Nice

They messed up initially but corrected it and I have now received full payment.
Also for phones that we're faulty they did send back at their own cost

I recommend!

RIP OFF MERCHANTS

NOT WORTH 1 STAR

First of all they Guarantee payment same day they have had my two iPhones a 6s and 6s Plus and 2 Apple watches series 2 since 12th September and on the 17th September I am still waiting on payment. Secondly I sent them an iPhone 6S Plus in great condition and was using with no issues until the night before I posted, was offered $350 after I called to ask why I am still waiting for payment she said that the 6s Plus has low speaker volume therefore its faulty and we will pay $85.00 and the apple watches are series 1 not series 2
Update: Returned items sold to another company for full payment as they were not faulty on testing.

DO NOT TRUST SELLYOURMOBILE WITH ANY OF YOUR GOODS THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF. BE WARNED

Response from the owner refused to pay me for any of the items

Hi Ian,

My company has been in business since 2004 and we have purchased tens of thousands of mobile devices during this period, we have never done anything wrong by our customers.

Due to the release of the new iPhone range we have been inundated with phones hence why we couldn’t keep our same day payment promise, but I believe this was relayed to you last Thursday when you called. I had my staff work during the weekend to catch up on the back log.

We test hundreds of phones every day and all my staff members know what to look out for when testing. Your iPhone 6s Plus had issues with the ear speaker being low and muffled, which is a common problem with iPhones.

In reference to the 2 watches they are definitely series 1, as the model is stated in the settings as A1554.

We offer the most out of all the recyclers in the market place and we expect to receive a fully functional devices when paying $350, not faulty!

There was no need to leave negative feedback within minutes of getting off the phone from the support team stating, ‘DO NOT TRUST SELLYOURMOBILE WITH ANY OF YOUR GOODS THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF’.

We are not in business to rip off customers, but in business to purchase used mobile devices. So I think it’s best that we return all your devices and you use another company to sell your devices.

What an absolute scam

What an absolute scam. Of the 5 people I’ve known to send phones in all have had the price reduced due to defects. My screen had been replaced by apple 2 weeks before and now they’ve sent me a photo to say the glass is coming out of the phone when it was fine when I sent it. Beware!

Avoid this company

Avoid this company. My phone worked perfectly well before I sent it to them after I upgraded. They said it didn't work and offered a pittance so I said send it back and they sent me back someone else's phone with a cover I'd never seen before in my life, that didn't work at all. Basically they stole my phone. They now say they are going to pay me for it but I haven't received payment to date and doubt that I will. Will certainly update if they do manage to do the honest thing.

Regarding subsequent reply from sellyourmobile.com.au. The phone was NOT faulty and has subsequently been sold with no issue to another provider for the full amount promised (more than sellyourmobile). My review was truthful however the phone was returned back to me correctly eventually allowing me to sell it to someone else. This company's own inefficiencies and mistakes have caused these issues. I stand by my original review. The company said a perfectly good phone didn't work and tried to offer a pittance for it. Rip Off.

At least be truthful with your review!
Your phone was faulty and we sent it back to you and you claimed it was not your phone so it was sent back to us.
When we received your phone we did all the checks and the imei number was correct and you confirmed it was your phone!
We sent your phone back again where we spent over $80 in freight and administration chargers.
How is it that we stole your phone?

Stick to the larger, more reputable companies

Tried this company despite having previously used another larger one, because they offered more money. Received return package on the 14th day after placing an order, after several email communications. They would not honour the original price regardless.
Returned the phones and was advised one of the phones was slightly bent causing the screen to lift. It wasn't. Upon return I checked the phone in question, it was in excellent condition.
Went back to the earlier mentioned more reputable company, who assessed it as being in excellent condition WITHOUT FAULT and paid full price.
Skip this dodgy company, it'll waste your time and try to scam you in to accepting a lower price.

Sorry we are not Australia post!
We sent your phone back as the screen was lifting due to the phone having a slight bend, how is this dodgy?
You made a good statement "because they offered more money" hence we expect a product in it's original state apart from wear and tear.
