I think the interface could be a bit more straightforward and also some automating features do not work well for me. Service hasnt been able to help me (yet).
But all in all we could not run our business without Sendcloud and also pay less for shipping!

2 WEEKS OF ISSUES, AVOID!
Signed up nearly two weeks ago and still can’t use my account. It was first placed on hold for a “credit control” check, which took a week to resolve. Now I’m unable to generate labels due to another issue, meaning yet another week of waiting. Very frustrating experience AVOID!

Calls itself a complete shipping platform, but it should be called a complete scam platform.
Absolutely NO customer service, even if you pay for insured shipping and the contents are damaged due to demonstrably improper conduct by the carrier (ticket 3116837). Hopeless!
Hidden surcharges and delayed fees make pricing unreliable
The Sendcloud platform is objectively well designed: feature-rich, powerful and technically solid.
Customer support is also present and generally polite.
However, there is a huge “but” that, in my opinion, undermines much of the value of the service.
Sendcloud already knows with certainty the extra surcharges applied by specific carriers for so-called remote areas, identified by precise ZIP/postcode lists provided by the carriers themselves.
Despite this, these surcharges are NOT shown when the shipping label is created.
This leads to three serious issues:
The displayed price is not the real price
The user sees a price X, while the platform already knows the real cost will be X + surcharge.
This means knowingly showing a price that is not the final one, hiding a certain and known cost.
Manual checks that defeat the purpose of automation
For every shipment, the user must manually check whether the destination postcode falls into a remote area for that specific carrier.
If multiple carriers are used, the process must be repeated multiple times.
At this point, the very reason for using a platform like Sendcloud — automation and simplification — is lost.
Surcharges charged even 2–3 months later
In some cases, these extra fees are charged months after the label was created.
This completely removes any realistic possibility to pass the cost on to the buyer — something that is already awkward and unprofessional in e-commerce.
The seller ends up discovering additional costs when it is far too late to take action.
To make matters worse, I had a very unpleasant phone call with a support operator.
While the tone was polite, the message was frankly insulting: I was repeatedly told that this practice is not unfair at all, simply because “the list of remote postcodes is available in the Help Center”.
In other words:
We knowingly show a price that is not the real one, but it’s fine because we wrote it somewhere else.
I find this approach non-transparent and unfair, especially in a professional environment where even small surcharges, multiplied by dozens or hundreds of shipments, can seriously impact margins.
A real shame, because with proper transparency (showing the actual final price upfront), Sendcloud could be an excellent platform.
As it stands, I cannot recommend it to serious e-commerce sellers.

Really simple to use and provides a range of different options for posting parcels.
Great integrations and panel, bad charging
Great integrations, great user panel, quick support. But a lot of issues with charging/charges.
I moved away from Sendcloud some years back because of this, and came back recently with the hope things have improved, but on the first invoice there was an issue again with the (sur)charges of shipments.
Sendcloud is hiding behind (in this case) DPD when questions are asked, but I never experienced issues with other shipping platforms so I can only conclude it's a Sendcloud problem.

I do not recommend this service !!!
I am extremely disappointed with this cooperation. A shipment worth over €400 was destroyed during transport. The package was very solidly packed and clearly marked multiple times as “Fragile” and “This Side Up”, yet it was delivered upside down with a large hole in the packaging. It is hard to understand how it is even possible to damage a wooden table during transport.
Contact with customer service was completely unhelpful. I received only a few generic, AI-generated responses, with no real assistance and no sense of responsibility.
The transport company admitted that the damage was their fault, yet I was compensated with only one third of the item’s value plus €10 for shipping, which is unacceptable. I packed the parcel as securely as humanly possible, but the carrier failed entirely to meet their obligations.
As a result, I lost the product, the money, and the client.
The way packages are handled suggests a lack of care, and unfortunately, the same applies to how customers are treated.
I do not recommend this service !!!
