Rude member of staff

Burgess Hill. Price was good and my MOT was fit in quickly, however a member of the team (not usual reception) rang me up and was incredibly rude on the phone asking where I was as they were closing in 10 minutes. I explained that I was told I’d get a call when car ready and he then accused me of lying and said he was there and it wasn’t said. His whole tone was totally inappropriate!

Avoid like the plague.

Avoid like the plague.

This is in regards to the Sidcup branch. Very unprofessional, Lie about receipts and charge customers money and refuse normal business practices like giving receipts and excuse it by saying “We’ve done you a favour”.

Full context, I never asked for a favour, I asked for my spare wheel to be put on the car and to be charged as such and I paid hoping to log the wheel change as a expense on my end of year accounts. (Which it was).

They also said they would rather I did not pay VAT and wanted cash (Very strange, assuming the manager Mark Keen might be lining his pockets to supplement his wage)

The chap that did the actual work was friendly and professional though - This is the only saving grace.

Truly great service and incredibly fast

I had a puncture that the AA had temporarily plugged so I needed a permanent repair. I arrived at Burgess Hill SE Tyres this morning at 8.30 with no pre-booked appointment. Even so, they started work on it immediately even though it was clear from the amount of cars & customers there that they were very busy. I was out of there with the job completed at 8.55, and it only cost £30.

Truly great responsive service and incredibly fast.

Brilliant service on a Saturday morning

Hit a pothole that severely damaged the sidewall of my car on a Saturday morning 50 miles from home. I went to Setyres in Henfield but didn’t expect to get a replacement as it’s a sports car with big low profile tyres. The manager took a look, advised me not to drive home on it and managed to produce a ‘budget’ tyre that fitted. A short while later I was on my way.
Outstanding service on a Saturday morning.

Fast professional service A*

Visited to the Sudbury store to get two new tyres today, for my daughter's car. Tyres are a good price. Very quick service, friendly staff with a good sense of humour!
Took less than 30 minutes. Well definitely go back for MOTs.
Highly recommend.

I have using this garage for 15 +…

I have using this garage for 15 + years, never had any issues always do a great job. The guys up there never try and fob you off and as a woman I really like that , always friendly and easy to get booked in also get special offers if you are a loyal customer would highly recommend

The price they charged me in store was…

The price they charged me in store was significantly more than if I had ordered online. No where do they say this is the case.
I would suggest they made the price up on the spot (as it came to an exact figure and none of their tyres come in at round numbers) as I am a woman.

I visited the shop in Tunbridge Wells…

I visited the shop in Tunbridge Wells and was surprised to find that changing my oil took 4 hours. It's essential to be aware of this issue. The man at the reception was also handling the tasks of a mechanic, but he struggled to unscrew the sump. I don't understand how that works—if you're in the reception and mechanic role, how is that my problem? Why accept bookings if there aren't any mechanics available?
It took 4 hours to realize the service couldn't be completed! I also requested someone to check my tire, but my request was completely ignored. I've been driving with a nail in my tire (back)for over a week and a half, till today.This experience needs significant improvement.
Then another day in same shop all were fine(I changed my tires (front!)

Always a great service

Setyres - Farlington Branch

Although they’re always busy, that’s actually reassuring. I dropped in to have the rear tyres checked following an MOT advisory. At first glance, the tread depth and wear looked fine to me, but after inspection they identified that the tyres were actually “out of shape” — something surprisingly common, yet completely new to me after all these years.
The young technician wasn’t entirely certain, so he called over the lead technician, Jim. I really appreciated this, as it instantly inspired confidence. Jim clearly knew his stuff and logically explained why tyres can deform like this, accurately linking it to my driving habits. He even asked if I’d noticed a droning noise that sounded like a wheel bearing — which was spot on. I’d had the car at a specialist just days earlier, and they’d said it was likely either the bearing or, more probably, the tyres.
I also mentioned that I’d been meaning to replace the battery for about 18 months. Again, my limited driving habits were identified as the cause, and the diagnostic confirmed the battery was at end of life. A replacement was ordered while I popped to the local shop for a sandwich. By the time I returned, all the work had been completed.
The service was impressively fast, polite, and courteous, with excellent technical knowledge throughout. I also really appreciated Jim’s honesty when I mentioned wanting some high-end tyres — he talked me down to a more sensible option that better suited my driving style. It was clear they weren’t trying to upsell unnecessarily.
As it happened, another customer was experiencing exactly the same battery issue, which only reinforced how transparent and genuine the service was.
