Good service but rates for the existing customers could be more competitive

I have been banking with Shawbrook for a couple of years now and never had any issues. The Fixed Term Bond accounts work well (both with the monthly and annual interest options) as well as the Easy Access accounts and the Easy Access Cash ISA. Withdrawn funds land in the nominated bank account on the next day so plan ahead if you need a quick access to your £s. The customer service is very helpful, over the phone as well as when sending a secure message.

Recently transferred an ISA account from Shawbrook to the other provider and the entire process went smooth. Shawbrook sent me a few updating messages and informed about each step of the transfer and the whole progress - which is good and gave additional peace of mind.

The only reason I can't give a 5 star review is that the interest rates offered on ISAs and Easy Access accounts for new customers are better than the ones offered to existing loyal customers. And the Cash ISA product which currently pays only 2.70% should be at least a flexible ISA. Thus I decided to partially move funds to the other providers otherwise would keep them here.

Message saying I've missed a payment - I HAVE NOT

Have been making on-time regular payments for 4.5 years for a loan and today I was messaged that I had missed a payment. I checked my bank - the payment has been taken. I called Shawbrook and was greeted with an automated message saying that they were aware of non-payment messages being sent when payment HAS been made and were investigating. Checked my Shawbrook account on line and there is a message saying I have missed a payment. I HAVE NOT MISSED ANY PAYMENTS. This review will go to one star if it impacts my credit score.
