Most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many customers expressed significant dissatisfaction with the quality of products, noting that shoes often fell apart quickly, sometimes within days or a few months, with soles wearing out, linings peeling, and materials separating. Reviewers frequently felt that the products were not durable and did not live up to expectations, especially considering their price. Inferior quality from a reputable brand

I’ve bought Skechers for work over the years and always valued their comfort and quality. However, I was shocked when these arrived. The build quality is abysmal — gone are the well-made, supportive, walk-on-air trainers I had come to expect from a trusted brand. Instead, they’ve been replaced with cheap, flimsy materials that feel more like something from Shein or Temu than from Skechers. Hugely disappointing.

This is a PRODUCT Review

This review is not about a business, it is about one product, Skechers Men's Slip-on Shoes, which I learned to be inferior and potentially dangerous. I'm a senior citizen and wanted comfortable shoes I could slip on/off easily. I paid $95 for a pair in August 2024. They were comfortable, especially in the footbed, but the interior heel area wore through in less than 6 months, and then sharp plastic projections came through into my Achilles tendon areas. I liked the shoes a lot when new but would never buy another pair. Wasted $95.

On 4/30/25 we bought a pair of…

On 4/30/25 we bought a pair of work/hike boots at the local store. They took time to break in, but that’s a typical shoes. Hubby reports they are comfortable. Before the end of having them for three months they began ripping, the water proof membrane tore completely and the upper part of the shoes began opening. 8/3 I called the store, they said nothing they can do. 8/17 I went in the store with the shoes, again nothing they can do. We spent $100 on the boots (on sale) and there is nothing I can do with the boots that are clearly defective. The store manager after asking me to look up the return policy for her, said returns are only valid on UNWORN shoes for 45 days. Who buys shoes they are not going to wear? If they are defective, how do you know unless they are worn? These boots are not even 4 months old, they were worn every day, because that is typically what a person would do with a work boot. This family will not purchase another Skechers item.

Beware Of Sketchers…

My wife and I each bought a pair of Sketchers slip on shoes. Within a month we both had issues. First. The slip on feature did not work well and required finger adjustment. Secondly, there was a black strip around the shoe before the rubber bottom area. This began to peel right away. My wife's shoes developed a hole in one side. Contacted Sketchers and we had to submit numerous pictures. Then we were told to ship them in. The catch was if they concluded the shoes were not defective, (impossible in this case) we did not get the shoes back. Nice. We use them for yard work.

Dont last..

Dont last... bad manufacture design. I've bought three pairs of slip-ons, none have lasted 1 year. The last pair lasted 3 month. All have worn holes in the heal and give your heal blisters. Don't buy!

Skechers advertise nationally to create Brand awareness and market share whoever I’ve tried their own stores, stores that sell online and retail but the availability is POOR unfortunately and I find it so annoying.
I work all over the Country and cannot find any new addition ranges.

Manager Andy

I would like to say how impressed I was with the way the manager, Andy, from the Market Street branch, dealt with the defect in one of my sandals. He went way above what could have been expected even when he was feeling under the weather. He obviously leads by example and is a credit to the store. I have been a fan of Skechers' footwear for many years and hope to be so for many more years to come.

Purchased a pair of Sketchers Slip-ins…

Purchased a pair of Sketchers Slip-ins on the 01/05/25, my first pair, I’ve always liked the comfort of Sketchers so I thought I’d try this “new range”.i love the Slip-in idea and they are really comfortable and I’ve been raving about them to my friends, until yesterday 29/07/25. There is a whopping great big gouge out of the back of the shoe where I “slip-in”! Are the Sketchers at Sports Direct “ seconds” or is this the normal quality of Sketchers? If this is normal I will not be purchasing again or recommending them to anyone.

Do not shop sketchers!

They are horrible! They send you a code for 25% off coupon, when you try to apply the coupon never works for the item you are buying. It happened with me 5x with 5 different items. They send you a reward, but when you try to use, always expired yesterday! Do not shopping sketchers... waist of time. It is a lots better brands and quality for so much better price. Sketchers is a Joke 😃... ridiculous!

Shoes Fall Apart

I've recently bought 2 pairs of shoes from this company.
What a waste of money!

First shoe, a trainer, after walking in them for maybe 2-3 months (not even walking very far), had a huge hole appear in the sole. Terrible quality.

Second pair were walking trainers. These were even worse, all of the threading on the inside of them came apart after walking less than 300 miles on regular footpaths. You can feel the material breaking away as you walk them, feels like you constantly have stones in your shoes (first pair did this as well, but not quite as badly).

Tried contact skechers and they genuinely couldn't care less. The quality of their shoes is a joke, but the biggest joke of all is a Shoe company, yes Shoe company, cannot even make Shoes (what their entire company is based on) that can be walked in. Such a farse of a company.

Purchased shoes online and late…

Purchased shoes online and arrived late. Shoes wrong size (correct on label but come up 1 size wrong) and needed to take back. Stated online could bring back to store but went to Cambridge branch and unhelpful staff just said computer said no. Had to send back and no local drop off within 6 miles. Told would get email within 3 weeks to say they have been received. Who knows how long to get money back. If you like the shoes get in store but stay away from online.

Fosse Park Store. Excellent Service. The help and support was excellent

The help and support was excellent. Gary (store manager) and Rhiann at the Sketchers store, Fosse Park Leicester were very helpful and understanding of my particular needs. Being a male suffering from a neurological condition I had particularly needs to ensure the right type, size and fit of shoes. Their care and advice was spot on, showing that they had listened and understood my needs. I would Not hesitate to recommend these two individuals at the Fosse Park Store in Leicestershire. I hope their head office can be informed of this and that others with particular health needs/concerns are encouraged by this feedback and get the opportunity to visit them at Fosse Park Store Leicestershire. 5 ⭐️ stars.

Definitely not slip ins

I purchased the sketcher slip in purposely because, I was having a hip replacement and needed something easy to get my feet into post op.
I tried every way and I can definitely say that these shoes do not do that. I actually had to get a shoe horn to help get my feet (both) into them So disappointing.

One Star - Extremely Disappointed with Store Manager's Behavior

I've been a loyal Skechers customer for years, but my recent experience at the Glendale, AZ location (7720 W Bell Rd) on 7/13/2025 left me shocked and disappointed.

I visited the store with a simple question--where is the wide shoe section? When I asked the store manager, she responded curtly that she was helping someone else and immediately turned and walked away without any further acknowledgment. Her tone was unnecessarily rude and dismissive, which caught us off guard for such a basic question.

When we later approached her to express how her behavior made us feel disrespected, instead of apologizing or clarifying, she doubled down on the attitude and told us to leave her store. I couldn't believe that level of unprofessionalism came from someone in a managerial role.

This is not how any customer should be treated, especially by someone who is supposed to set the standard for customer service. I hope Skechers takes this feedback seriously, because experiences like this make customers think twice about supporting the brand.
