I went to smiggles in highcross Leicester, two employees called Liz and izzy was really nice, the stitch active watch was not connecting to the app and I didn’t have a receipt. After trying to help me and see if they could get it to work they let me give it back and get an advent calendar that I also wanted and I just paid the difference. They went above and beyond and really made my day

Very bad experience with returning a school bag

Very bad experience with returning a school bag. I paid with Paypal and on returning the item to the branch, I was turned back. I then posted the bag (paid £5.75 for next day signed for) and a week later, Smiggle claim they never received my item. I have sent proof of receipts with a picture from Royalmail showing a picture of the parcel that was signed for by Smiggle. They are terrible. I will avoid next time. Its a shame that I have bought bags previously from this business.

Lids keep breaking.... no way of replacing them order #80439777

Had three bottles from Smiggle break within weeks of having them. The lids have literally shattered when my kids have dropped them from hardly any height. Other brands have lasted much longer and proved to be a lot more robust.

There is no option to replace the lids. I would buy other brands especially if you have kids.

Very disappointed

Very disappointed. I am a loyal customer who has spent thousands on smiggle throughout the years. My last package was “supposedly” dumped outside my door just to never be found. Called smiggle to get support and they won’t help unless a get a crime reference? Like the police haven’t got enough to deal with! Absolute joke, you have lost a very loyal customer and several others going by the recent reviews!

Ordered a backpack... received an advent calendar

I ordered a backpack for my granddaughter, but received an advent calendar.

I was refused a refund unless I returned the calendar, which I did immediately. But I never did receive the refund.

I overlooked this for 9 months (my mistake entirely) but Smiggle now say I can't have a refund as they have a 6 month return window.

I never received the goods I'd ordered! And I returned the unwanted goods within a couple of weeks. How can they just keep my money?

I wish I read reviews before buying

As a new customer, I am very disapointed by my first order and won't be buying again. They took very long to deliver, a full week. For this waiting time I would be better off buying from overseas for less price. Then the box finally got delivered in a very bad state, squished, stamped on and partly open. An item is missing and there is no phone number anywhere to call Smiggle. I wrote them a message and got an auto reply saying they are very busy with lots of email. That doesnt sound good. Why so busy in a middle of Tuesday unless everyone else is contacting to complain? No reply from them yet, 2 disapointed children and not much hope for refund. So bad

Outlet in Swindon

I have been to the new shop at the Designer outlet in Swindon. I was shocked the way a young blond, wearing glasses treated me.
She was helpless, when I asked something she pretended she wasn’t getting what I said, I am fluent, she point the product and turn off to answer the phone, even bother to help or come back to give a proper service. Appalling.

Worse customer experience Iv had from a retail store. Failed to deliver my item and left it outside a random gate. Then rather than rectify, I have to get a crime reference number for a product that I never received which legally I can’t do as it wasn’t stolen from me as I never received it. Refusing to give me my money back or replacement. Avoid at all costs.

Eastbourne store

Eastbourne store, The Beacon shopping centre, female member of staff possibly the manageress? Very loud and condescending; we visited to suss out a certain themed collection, she was up close and talking to us like children; we returned an hour later to buy 4 items in a set - told very rudely that no discount available ie blue light card, and pay for the carrier bag despite us joking with her that other shops give you a free carrier as a thank you for your large purchase. She definitely needs a customer care course or two please!

Cheap rubbish

Cheap rubbish - purchased back to school items for our child . School bag , drink bottle and stationary items . On the first day of school our child informed us the drinks bottle leaked so she couldn’t use it . Contacted customer service , said I had to return the bottle to the store ( which is a 1.5 hr round trip and the cost of city centre parking ) wouldn’t offer a replacement / refund / store credit despite me explaining that it wasn’t convenient to go back to the store . Won’t buy from them again as items are not fit for purpose - AVOID - TEMU ITEMS with inflated prices

Nice looking stuff, but very fragile

They create nice looking stuff that my daughter loves, but the build quality can be terrible.

In particular, the over-complicated lids of their kids water bottles. We must had around four or five water bottles over the last few years. Once has lasted all that time (although the print has worn off). But the others have all broken really easily.

The most recent of which lasted a couple of days more than a month. Despite being well looked after.

When they break, you get to see how flimsy the lid mechanisms are. Funnily enough, the one that lasted has a very simple flip up spout, whereas the others are over-engineered.

These bottles are aimed at children, particularly primary school-aged children. They should be built with at least a medium amount of robustness, but in fact, when they break, you find out they are held together by a few small glue joins or they contain a fragile piece of plastic which is seemingly vital to it working properly.

I've had it with Smiggle. I hate generating so much landfill plastic.

They need to at least sell replacement lids if they can't make them well enough. Terrible for the environment.

Customer service 0 out of 100000000000

Shocking customer service and overall experience.

Order my child a school bag from Smiggle with chosen delivery service 1-3 business days. I left it a bit late but payday come when it comes, right?
On the second working day I noticed that I still dont have dispatch information, which made me think that there is no way they could deliver parcel in time for school start. I called them up and was met by a rude woman ''who cannot do anything'' I was begging for them to cancel the order as anyone with logical thinking would know that parcel is not going to be delivered in given time frame but I was assured that it will.

Comes third working day and their express delivery service ''Evri'' are still expecting the parcel. Which is now given that parcel won't come in time. I called up their customer service again to be met with '' sorry, there is nothing we can do. Your parcel will come in time.'' When, clearly, it won't. The customer service guys dares to tells me that it's my fault for ordering so late whilst keep just telling me that there is nothing they can do. Instead of actually helping and being useful they shame you for their awful inability to get parcel out in ''time frame'' you as customer have paid for.

Of course the parcel did not come in time. Even better, it's now 4th working day, Evri has delayed parcel and no one knows when it's going to arrive. My child is starting school without her bag, I have to travel 40mins away today to buy her a new bag whilst the £50 I paid for is in Evri ''delayed'' pile and probably won't be able to get it for a while.
Customer service team definitely needs to learn to be better instead of shaming customers for not getting their own company in order.
Disgusting.

Wrong address noticed instantly, refused to rectify or cancel and shipped to wrong address anyway

I clicked buy then realised my mistake, wrong address. I emailed immediately and got an email back to say they couldn't change the address or cancel despite the fact it took another 2days to ship the items. So they have shipped it anyway despite knowing the address is wrong. Luckily I ordered on a credit card so can try a charge back. They told me I could redirect it through evri but it says the sender has to do that so I don't hold out much hope.

Unpleasant experience

Today, a very unpleasant situation happened at Smiggle in Ashford store.
My son chose a Fly and Catch toy, and we went to the till to pay. The sales assistant then started encouraging him to look at another toy – a “surprise box”. When my son asked what was inside, she replied “treasures”. Naturally, he wanted it as well. Although the assistant said “maybe next time”, the moment was already lost, and I ended up buying both toys.

As soon as we left the store, my son said he didn’t want the “surprise box” toy. We immediately went back to return it. Both assistants were at the till: the one who sold the toy agreed that a return would be fair, since she was the one who had encouraged him to buy it. However, the second assistant refused, claiming the packaging was “damaged” – even though the toy itself was still sealed in its original packaging.

My son (who is SEN) became very upset and started crying, saying he did not want this toy. Despite this, the assistant remained inflexible. In the end, I had to leave the toy at the till without receiving a refund.

I find this situation extremely disappointing:
• the assistant actively initiated my child’s interest in the product,
• the return was refused without a valid reason (the item was intact in its original packaging),
• the staff showed no understanding of the child’s needs and responded with rigidity, which only caused more distress.

I am very disappointed with such service and treatment.

Rude/unhelpful customer service team

Absolutely shocking company. I just bought bag bundle sets here and buy them every single year for both of my kids plus accessories. After 3 days the zip broke on my daughters bag and to get it replaced I need to either take it to a store 40 minutes drive away or send it away in hope it reaches smiggle and wait to get another sent out. So my daughters to go without a bag in the mean time? You dont know peoples personal circumstances either and what they're going through and this is the last thing people need to worry about. So disappointed with all the money I've spent here and all over a bag!
Never met a customer service team to be so rude and unhelpful either. I was told they'd send me a bag if I sent them a photo like any other decent company would do but then I waited and when I called back up they backtracked and said I made this up that they wouldn't do that. The manager said she'd send me a copy of all the call then when I said I'd like it she again backtracked and said she may not actually be able to. Totally incompetent and rude customer service team. I'm going to put this all over online and social media as I'm so unhappy and smiggle are refusing to help.
Will be taking this to consumer rights ans trading standards as I now have a faulty item worth £42 that I can't reasonably have replaced.

Not likely to order again

Joined mailing list for discount code. Discount code didn’t work (item was full priced and nothing in t’s and c’s re this item not being included). Bought item anyway and paid for express delivery. Item didn’t arrive for 5 days. Product is ok but not greatest quality considering the price point. Not likely to order again.
