This is my second time using stairfurb and they never miss a beat. Their website is so easy to use and they are very communicative right from the start helping to ensure you get the right measurements. Delivery was on time and handled with care and then it was the simple job of out with the old and in with the new. So easy to fit and look amazing!

They recommended Matt Field of F & H Installation for the fitting, and I’m really glad they did. Matt was professional, friendly, and very accommodating throughout the entire process. From the initial measurements to the installation and aftercare advice, everything was handled with care and attention to detail. The final result looks fantastic.

I’m very happy with both Stairfub and Matt’s work, and I wouldn’t hesitate to use Matt again in the future. I’ll certainly be recommending him to others.

We wanted to update our typical 1970s white stair bannister, but the cost of employing a carpenter to complete the job was huge. I happened upon Stairfurb while researching the price of an oak balustrade with embedded glass and couldn’t believe how simple it all seemed. We booked a video call and were helped enormously with measuring the existing bannister and choosing our preferred style, before receiving a quote. What would have cost over £4k with a company was only going to be £1600! Once we were ready, we asked for a further video call, as we realised that one of our newel posts wasn’t plumb, so getting an accurate angle reading was tricky. Will called us and was so helpful. With everything measured, we signed off the order. I then decided I wanted to add stringer cladding to finish the overall look. Again, Will was quick to sort this out and add it to the original order. The parts arrived just over two weeks later and we were delighted with the quality of the oak. The fitting was done by ourselves and took around 4.5 hours, making sure everything was checked carefully before each step. The online videos and guides were extremely useful too. Overall, we are thrilled with our new stair bannister with embedded glass. Our home has been modernised and feels light and airy. I would thoroughly recommend Stairfurb to anyone who is considering replacing their bannisters. Just read everything twice, watch the instructional videos and measure carefully to avoid any pitfalls. Great telephone consult. Great ordering process and delivery. However thr digital protractor sent is not accurate so out glass came and was short.

Glad we used StairFurb for our new glass balustrades. They look great. Fairly easy to communicate and order, I liked that we could communicate on WhatsApp, though was pleased I could speak to a human when AI wasn’t able to help me further. Fraser and Jamie were really helpful and a pleasure. Glad we used one of their listed fitters EHS; Dave did a great job, really knew his stuff and was a pleasure to deal with and have in your home. Price was ok, similar to other quotes and they really do look great and modernize the landing. We recommend StairFurb 👍

The order process was fairly straight forward although you are talking to an AI on WhatsApp. A few discrepancies with measurements but this was quickly sorted with emails. Delivery day came and the courier was perfect. When unpacking found the newel posts and baserails to be damaged. Fitted the product successfully with a few amendments. Newel post turned up without a locating spigot (be careful of what you order for what you need) the newel posts come in different arrangements. Paid a separate company to correct. (Problem with online ordering I’m guessing) The fitted product is ok. When contacting the company due to the damage and paint discrepancies the offer was for a pot of paint to be sent and blaming the courier company. Not sure how they can be blamed for a product that they deliver and not prepare. The issues we have are the manufacturing process. Due to the company disregarding the issues and problems we would not recommend. You expect a high quality product for the cost you pay. Rather than a blame game. After sales is not good. Lots of remedial work to correct unfortunately.

All sales and no service.
I saw the ads on Facebook and enquired.
I started receiving the suspicious "50% off" texts the same day and in fact most days since.
Totally gave up on the online configurator as it is clunky and difficult to get exactly what you want.
So I opted for the video call and booked an appointment, and still receiving the "50% off must end tonight" bs
The call came in and I didn't get to my phone within the four rings so missed it. Then I read the text that landed five minutes before the appointment telling me I needed to install 'Google Meet' app.
Whilst trying to install the app on my phone the sales expert called me back with a snotty attitude telling me this wasn't just a phone call it was a meeting. For me that was the last straw. I deleted him followed by the Google App. and still the 50% off today texts litter my phone.
I was genuinely amazed to see the percentage of positive reviews on here and to be honest I'm suspicious of reviews that sound like like adverts simply saying everything was amazing and repeating company sales bullet points.
My advice is to contact a local joinery manufacturer and not a hard sell internet based company like this and definitely read the negative reviews because they don't lie.
By the way I am a self employed carpenter since 1986 and before retiring used to supply the balustrades to photographers for Richard Burbidge stair parts catalogues so slightly up the DIY scale and even I found them awkward to deal with, rude and definitely sales driven.

Please read the sarcastic smug response below. No I didn’t use you, for the reasons described! And yes I mainly only report bad service as I expect a decent service from companies which is generally true. It’s just the hard sell bad companies that need exposing. I’m not surprised you can’t see your faults.

Stairfurb made this whole procedure so easy. It took around 1 month from enquiry to installation. An on-line meeting assured correct measurements and our particular requirements. We were sent a digital protractor quickly and sent the measurement to Stairfurb. Stairfurb provided a few installers' details and we had the delivery arranged within a month. The courier rang us, as promised and arrived on time. The delivery to our garage was totally painless. I video'd everything so that I might get paid by Stairfurb for the video. The installer arrived and completed the whole procedure in a day. The increase in light in our stairs are is huge. No more damaged wooden stair rods repainted 4 times. No more wiping away dust from the wooden rods. The glass is easy to maintain. We probably wipe it every few months, so definitely less housework. I wish we had had Stairfurb installed earlier.

So far really good service and from ordering to receiving my item I have had a smooth time of it, the cost was reasonable and the delivery lead time to

With any query's James was able to answer for me the product consultation video process is ideal as you can actually show them what you mean I felt the staff are experienced we never felt like it was hard trying to show and tell what we were looking for everything was easy, I really recommend giving them a try I think they have options to suit all budgets as well and the fact it's a DIY job that we are doing so being able you to buy the specific sizes and products to fit and do yourself is really great 😊 not having to worry about anything just giving sizes and ordering it with them then leaving the rest to them is great it's been a no fuss easy purchase so far honestly really please I will post pictures once my husband has finished thanks 😊

Excellent company to deal with. Video call to ensure I had the right measurements, sent and angle finder to check the stringer angle, kept informed throughout, delivered on time with great tracking, well packaged, easy instructional video to follow and installed by this DIY’er in a couple of hours. Would highly recommend

The process to order was really straight forward. The Stairfurb team was really communicative and helpful. Overall I loved the end product, really makes a difference to the space and the quality its great.

First time using this company and they were great from start to finish! I contacted them on WhatsApp via the website, had a video call and ensured my measurements were accurate. Within 3 weeks the new bannister arrived and I assembled it! It looks so good! Lots of nice feedback from friends and family. The wood is solid oak also and not cheap MDF. The price was excellent and the kit was very high quality with simple “how to” instructions! I’d highly recommend them. Well done StairFurb team!
