I was going through options on PopaHO…
I was going through options on PopaHO and picked this one — didn't really notice at the time that there was no checkmark next to video calls or offline events. Not a dealbreaker on paper, but in practice it matters more than I thought. I did match with a few people and had some decent conversations, so it's not all bad. But there's always this nagging feeling in the back of your head — is this person even real? Without a live video option, you just never fully know. It's fine for casual browsing I guess, but I wouldn't call it serious dating.

This is not a valid review. This reviewer is using Trustpilot to promote a video dating platform (check out their other reviews for other sites), and is similar to other fake reviews we are seeing posted. Any authentic member of Stitch knows that the description applied here isn't even applicable to Stitch. Our community is based on in-person activities, and it's clear from this review that the reviewer has never even used Stitch, as they are describing dating platform functionality that does not exist in Stitch. This is the second fake review we have received from a user promoting this particular website across a number of reviews, and we would encourage Trustpilot to investigate.

Stitch is an amazing club for over 50s
Stitch is amazing. Ive met so many people on it and every single one has been friendly and welcoming. Ive arranged lots of activities and been on lunches, dinners, walks and been involved in discussions.

I love my group get together every Thursday evening with the women. I just find the site somewhat cumbersome to navigate so I have not explored much unfortunately.

Stitch is a great social group enabling people from all over the world to connect.
No need to feel lonely there is an event on every day of the week.
I find people make more friendships if they attend regularly in their surrounding area. I like to explore different areas and meet different stitch members. It is great value for money as well. The Stitch team do a brilliant job answering any questions when needed.

I have been meeting people and going places I would not have been able to without Stitch.
I especially like the Zoom meetings with people around the world.

As part of my year resolution
As part of my year resolution, I resolved to meet new people and be more social. By taking part in stitch events, I have met incredible people and made friends with people I have so much in common with. These connections have enriched my life, providing opportunities to share experiences, learn from others, and build a supportive network. This has boosted my confidence and helped me grow personally, showing that stepping out of my comfort zone was a decision with lasting positive effects.

Hi give it a go
Hi. I am suitably impressed with the Stitch organisation. I had been staying home knowing that life wouldn’t change while I continued becoming a recluse. Life just stays the same if I don’t make the effort and my introduction over 4 months has been exceedingly different in that I’ve met some lovely people in a very safe environment. Most of the people have been likeminded and now I almost have to cut my activities so I have time to think. I would encourage people to give Stitch a trial and I’m sure many will have a lot more enjoyment out of life.

Persist and find your Group!
First year was OK, attended a few functions and walks...were OK and friendly, but not really quite what I was looking for. Let my annual subscription roll-over, then a year ago found another group in which I'm very part of and attend functions at least fortnightly. Each event has familiar and new faces. Great conversations & fun. Highly recommend Stitch.

Went to an event did not feel at all welcome
No one in specified meeting area. When I messaged I got a reply that all were already seated and no vacant seat . I was at meeting area 15 mins early. All attendees appeared to already know each other, all seated together. I sat solo, still enjoyed show
No follow up message from anyone - will not attend this regular event again.

We spend a lot of time trying to remind members that once they have built strong friendships with other members, it can make new members feel left out, which is why we have such strong guidelines around being welcoming to new members. Looking at our records, it does look as if you've been to several events over the last few years, so the system may not have alerted the existing members that you needed some extra welcome.
