What a shambles, stonegate don't know how to run pubs and don't know how to treat their pub partners with respect. Stay away from them - their area managers have no idea what they are on about and cause serious damage to the landlords that run the actual pubs.

MXR app is pathetic! Have reported this to customer service(non existent!) who wanted me to send screenshots of my purchases?? Really and who does that? Am now trying to contact the CEO!

Downloaded vouchers to use was refused purchase as already been used? Tried 3 different venues and still couldn’t use them! Then found it had taken more points in each one.
The app jams often and all my local venues ran out of zero Guinness on rugby weekends(even though it was a Guinness promotion!) so couldn’t get my free pints.
At present they owe me about 30,000 points plus the card link bonus, 4 pints of Guinness and compensation for all the inconvenience!

My colleagues and I went to Christmas meal at the Old bank in Grantham on 14th December,despite paying a £50 deposit in October,we were charged the full value for each meal.I have had a continued constant battle with both the staff at the Old bank an d their customer experience team and even though they have received all our receipts and proof of payment we have still not received a refund.Absolutely appalling service and the whole experience was terrible.Shame on Stonegate pubs,it's a disgrace .

Food and service at The Feathers, Merstham, Surrey was excellent as ever. I recommend the sea bass with cabbage and potato - very well cooked, well-matched ingredients and presented stylishly. Service also good.
BUT the loss of 2 stars is because
the 40% off offer for Jan doesn't apply to single diners, as I found out after I booked and when I arrived. This exception is in the Ts and Cs which you don't need to read before booking. The advertising is misleading and I would say that because of this, the Ts and Cs don't form part of the contract. I have complained.

Another Q to Stonegate: you don't respond to all the negative reviews on Trustpilot. You seem to have a problem with Slug and Lettuces in particular. What's going on? Pls up your game and protect your staff.

I went into my local Stonegate pub on a Friday afternoon and ordered 2 pints of beer, when I was charged the cost was £1 more than usual.
The brewery told me the extra charge was to pay for Sky sports and only applicable at busy times.
When I was there it seemed no one was watching the TV.
To add 50 pence to every pint to cover sky is excessive, maybe they will also charge to use the toilet in busy periods next.

We attended the Ole Cross keys pub In Swansea on Friday 27th December, after being.in the pub from 1pm we were throughly enjoying ourselves watching the racing and interacting with the wonderful staff.about 7ish a man came over and told us he was turning the tv over to the football as racing was not allowed on the tv.
We told the man that we were there watching it from 1pm and he started complaint to us but then went off somewhere.
Later.we found out that the man was the manager., I have got to say.a more ignorant man you could ever meet.
My friends are regulars in this pub and did not recognise the man as the manager as we have.never seen him.

Tried to get into the slug and lettuce in Harborne. Was attending the pub for my daughter’s 25th birthday. It was very difficult to gain access to the pub due to the heavy handed security, I have a disability and was refused access. I spoke to the head of KGB security who finally let me in. I was not very impressed. There seemed to be a lot of individuals in the venue who should not of been there. Very disappointed. The security staff need to go on disability awareness training. Please look into this ASAP,

I'm a local at the Beech Chorlton and spend alot of money Mon to Thurs.
Was refused entry at 9.30pm xmas eve. Doorman said it was full. Never seen these customers before.
Sophie the manager approached me and said I was not allowed in at this time. Considering I go to the Beech when nobody else in,I find this somewhat embarrassing. The Manager in my opinion was totally out of order and deserves to get the boot.
I await your comments.

If you ever read Google reviews for stonegate pubs then ignore all the good ones. They incentivise managers to get family and friends to leave fake reviews.
Unfortunately google don't verify reviews and they know this.
They use a company called reputation.com and if you don't get any reviews in 7 days then the area managers send snotty emails.

I booked a table at St Mary’s Axe slug and lettuce and paid £20 deposit. On the day they rang me to say that they would have to move us to another venue and that my £20 would be returned. It has never been returned even though I have chased it multiple times! I get bounced beteeen the booking team and the venue. Who had taken my money? Is this happening to other customers?

Went the farmers arms for my nieces 40th birthday in Saturday 5/10/24 what a great night from start to finish.
The manageress Anne and her team gave us a warm welcome the room was very presentable the food was lovely and the service at the bar was great I would recommend it to anyone who wants a party you won’t go wrong

Took over a closed down pub had an agreement with the at time regional manager which after 2 months another regional manager took over he put some support into the pub which was still failing and not meeting target so I handed my notice in for to be messed about he then left for another regional manager to come in and absolutely finished me and left me in 10k debt. As the last regional manager put nothing on paper

Our local Stonegate diner/pub has closed no one has had the decency to contact me and I have a booking for a 70th birthday dinner with 6 people travelling from New Zealand - shame on you as I’m now out of pocket

I’m an experienced Landlady that took on a Stonegate Pub in Martham village
My Rent was fixed but my Regional manager Paul Devine broke the agreement and doubled it after 3 months
This organisation have no professional integrity and should be avoided.

They just hire horrible staff who hate the public it's beyond a joke they need a complete re haul as soon as people go to complain then find out it's owned by stonegate realise it makes sense as stonegate are the worst pub chain in the world by a mile

Went to Scarborough Flyer. Endless car racing on screens. Overpriced food and rip off drinks. Floor staff work too hard for minimum pay. Pie was barely half full mostly fresh air. No one seemed happy being there. Only went because Spoons pub was full

Since COVID forced out the only decent couple to run the Wheatsheaf in Oaksey we have been subjected to geriatrics, drug dealers, Vape salesmen, charlatans using this and 4 other local pubs as a tax dodge, and an ex-BT employee and his trout-lipped abusive wife. Each of them lasted 6-months or less followed by 6 months of no pub. The stone gate ‘area manager’ is clearly not up to the task or his title. Let us buy the freehold of this brilliant pub and get out from under the heel of the failure that is stonegate.
