Ineffective warranty support

For context, This is the first 1 star review I’ve ever posted as our oven is an expensive product.
We bought our Stoves Richmond oven in October 2025. There was a bang in April ( when not being used). Grill, top and bottom ovens now don’t work. Although customer service initially friendly, professional and seemingly helpful on the ‘phone, at 8 weeks in we are still without a solution. Pacifica ( the maintenance company) have been ineffective to date. An engineer was sent who was not LPG qualified and apparently there is no one in our area who is. We waited for him to be trained and had another appointment offered ( 6 weeks in), then that was cancelled with a message to say that they couldn’t get the parts. When we called again for an update, we were then told that there is no one qualified. So now we think we are being lied to so now doubt the professionalism of this company.
We called Stoves customer service again last week, spoke to a manager to escalate it. No-one has called back. It’s £800. As others have reported, we wanted to buy British but I would not buy another Stoves product and am initiating a section 75 claim.

Not happy with Stoves

I would not recommend stoves cookers, as within six months of buying Richmond deluxe rage cooker it broke down on Christmas Day of all days and had to wait until the New Year to get a repair. And six months later and it has broken down again with the same problem as before the induction hob had stopped working again. I suspect that this Cooker had previously been sold and returned to the retailer, Argos.
Andrew At Stoves customer service was helpful, but there is clearly something seriously wrong with my Cooker if it keeps breaking down. As a professional chef myself I am not happy with the performance of this cooker.

Had a gas cooker that I had for over 20 years without any problems

We understand how disappointing this must be, especially when you expected long-term reliability from your appliance. While we are pleased to hear that Andrew was able to assist you, the experience you describe is not what we want for our customers.
We would welcome the opportunity to review your case further. Please email your contact details and full address to aftersalessupport@glendimplex.com, quoting your review, and a member of our team will be happy to look into this for you.

Customer care excellent

Customer care excellent, unable to provide an answer for my need. I purchased a 100Ei TCH, no issues with the range as of yet. Induction hob area is 895mm x 450mm with 5 individual hobs. I have been trying to find a silicone protector for the fragile glass. Preference would be transparent, one piece with cutout for hob controls.

The call with customer service agent…

The call with customer service agent went well, Mr Andrew was nice and friendly and more importantly clear and professional. I will wait for the spare part to be delivered and hopefully that everything will be fine.

Grills and burners damage with non stick pans

I purchased the stove Richmond cooker. The downside of this product is that the grills and burners got damaged very easily within a matter of months. I contacted stove and they send an engineer out and replacements. I was told by the engineer this was due to using aluminium non stick pans. The replacements got damaged as well. I contacted stove again as no where on the website or manual did it say you can not use non stick pans. The lady I liaised with via email then said it was due to sliding pans across which is not the case. I am gutted that the cooker has done this soo quick and it looks like a very old cooker although I did not have it for long. I am unable to replace it yet, I am very disappointed with stove as they need to make it clear about what pans can be used. As I would have not purchased it otherwise. Then they tried to say it was due to sliding pans which is not the case. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Excellent customer service.

Hand an issue with my new Richmond Delux - fan staying on too long. Spoke to Andrew L at stoves - explained the problem, he was really helpful and explained why but also arranged for an engineer to adjust the fan. Excellent customer service.

Stoves cookers needing LPG jets

I have recently purchased a Stoves Richmond 110DF range cooker.
Not being on mains gas, I needed to purchase the gas jets for LPG. I was told by my retailer that I would have to get these from Stoves direct as the cookers are not supplied with them. I contacted Stoves, only to be told that they don't supply spare parts and I would have to contact Stoves-Spares for the jets.
I ordered the jets and was told therr was a 3 week lead time, so arranged adelayed delivery of my cooker, so I would have the jets ready when the cooker was delivered. I have now been told the the jets will not be delivered for 3 and a half months, meaning my cooker will be practically unusable for 2-3 months.
I find it totally inexcusabe for Stoves to not provide LPG jets - other cooker manufacturers/suppliers do.
So on the basis of this major shortcoming, I would advise anyone who is not on mains gas and is looking to purchase a dual fuel cooker, to AVOID STOVES COOKERS AT ALL COSTS.

Carol A who answered was very…

Carol A who answered was very knowledgeable (she actually had the same model oven herself ) and was able to quickly arrange for someone to come out in about a week or so . Only mild complaint would be that it took a while to answer the phone in the first place although I only had to wait 5 mins or so .
