Supercuts Southampton
Supercuts Southampton – I have a bit of a hairdresser phobia and had a wonderful experience at Supercuts in Southampton. I have very long hair and wanted it 30cm shorter, with layers and a dry cut. I was put at ease and every step of the process was explained to me. The hairdresser was charming who was genuinely caring and enjoyed her profession. She mentioned that I could donated my 30cm off-cut hair to a charity called Little Princess Trust who use the hair to make wigs for children with cancer. I immediately warmed to the generosity of the hairdresser and will be back.
The price advertised is what I was charged. No unnecessary add-ons to bump up the price. A truly wonderful experience…….Thank You.
Do not visit for hair colour service!
Came out with hair looking worse colour than I went in with. Very sad considering the price I paid too. The manager had to show me the colour using a torch because thats how difficult it was to see the colour. Should I walk around holding a torch to my head to see the slight hint of colour? What a fail. Stylist should cater for customers likes rather than what they think is "nice"

My daughter had her hair cut today at the Bedford branch.
They absolutely ruined her hair when she asked them to stop cutting the girl refused ..and said she was trying to rectify her mistake..
Even charged her £40 . She left in tears and not even the manager was sympathetic....avoid like the plague...
Made to feel like an after thought
Made to feel like an after thought. Didn’t fully dry my hair, didn’t show me the back. Rushed service and not far off better salon prices.

Had my cut today by lindsy at the Manchester arndale shopping centre.. it was a wonderful experience lindsy is excellent at her job and I would highly recommend her as she made such a fantastic job of my bleached damaged hair i did at home.. and made it look a million times better.. it's certainly boosted my confidence.. The staff we're all very lovely and talkative which is so nice. I would highly recommend supercuts as I got a fantastic haircut at a great price you can't go wrong
Supercuts Metrocentre
Sadly worst haircut I ve had .Literally looks looks like it's being chewed , layers unlevel, fringe unlevel and literally no style .Very disappointed as used here before and been very happy ( different stylist ).Not surprising mind as it only took about 10mins and I felt like no care taken at all .At nearly £25 that's not a bad hourly rate .Sadly won t use again

Meadowhall- lady very rude £49.50 for a dry child’s cut to take off an inch- is she for real? So rude and unhelpful and presented as if we were a complete inconvenience and she just wanted to go home! Will never set foot in a Supercuts again!
Needs to ditch the plastic
I almost always got a really good cut at supercuts. But when the Pandemic struck, they started draping customers in a (non- negotiable) massive sheet of plastic so that they had an excuse to charge us more. Late in 2024, the plastic drape persists (and the excess charge). I have left Supercuts for good (after 20 years of custom) in protest and this unacceptable misuse of single-use plastics that are destroying our planet.
Avoid Nottingham store
I was so shocked at how poor the customer service was. Staff were incredibly rude and so unprofessional. If you want your hair done then look elsewhere because they can’t do that very well either. So disappointed
Nottingham store
Nottingham store
Wouldn't recommend at all, staff are really rude and have completely messed up my fringe.
Stratford Westfield
Stratford Westfield, beware of additional charges that are added without knowledge and consent. I asked for a cut and shampoo, no blow-dry, and I was charged £39. then overheard another lady ask why it was more than she paid last time, the hairdresser said cause of the treatment. It turns out they had added a treatment onto my price (should have been £31) without telling me, I don't even recall a treatment being put on my hair when I had it washed, it was a super quick shampoo, so I was charged an additional £8 for nothing, which is super cheeky, very scammy, decent service otherwise, but I don't think I can trust them any longer. my regret was not asking for a breakdown, not thinking they would add on services without asking, I mean who does that!!
AVOID Shepperd's Bush Supercuts
I went to Shepperd's Bush Supercuts. I asked for a dry cut mainly cutting the end of my hair. A man started cutting my hair and literally after 2 cuts he has finished. I asked if he would follow the V shape of my hair? No, he can't, he has to wash my hair. I had no time for this though. So I asked if he will cut the front of my hair. No, he has to wash my hair and of course I would pay more. Other hairdresser always can do this simple dry cut. I have paid and left. In the meantime, a potential customer has left when he heard this customer unfriendly conversation between me and the man who claims to be the hairdresser and when he saw the unprofessional service. AVOID this UNPROFESSIONAL store. Utterly rude, no customer service, no apology, no explanation or at least trying to please the customer. £21,95 has been paid for 2 minutes rubbish and I need to visit now a real hairdresser. This store DESERVES NO STAR!!!!!!! TERRIBLE 'service'!
Overcharged
I will just add the message I've sent to them.
EDIT at bottom
'Hi. Today my wife had her hair appt at the Yardley salon.
The last two occasions she visited were £69 December 2023 and £73 may 2024. These were after her Blue light card discount. Today she was charged initially over £100 and with the discount £93.
She asked why it was more and the manager stated that was the normal price. My wife said that was more than normal and the lady didn't know what to say.
I called up and she just kept repeating she was the new manager and that she must have been getting some other sort of discount before.
This isn't a good enough explanation, she wasn't made away of the cost or increase prior and was then forced to pay.
I work for the bank and if this isn't satisfactorily looked into, explained and justified i will be reporting it to the bank and requesting a charge back.
Please advise asap.
Regards, Marc
EDIT.. it appears looking at the price list they have charged for the root refresh but ALSO a cut even though the root refresh states it includes the cut and always has before.
Supercuts - Lakeside Shopping Centre
Really pleased.
I attended over the weekend and had a lovely cut with Ella. I am always skeptical about getting my hair done as I know what I want but I’m comically terrible at describing it so often use pictures that best fit what I try and epically fail to explain. Thankfully Ella got the gist of where I wanted to go and gave me a ’ghost’ demonstration (for lack of better wording) to made sure I was happy and that we were both on the same wavelength before starting. It turned out just how I’d hoped and Ella even took some time to look at the condition of my hair before and after the wash, and recommended/advised me on some concerns I had with my hair and scalp with them being very dry, lifeless and damaged. I highly recommend!
Also to Pam, thank you as well. I popped in 2 days later, I had decided that my hair was a little too thick - Not at all Ella’s fault, I has seen my friends later that evening and really liked how it seemed to thin at the ends (we both have thick hair and lots of it) so I asked if there was anything that could be done, really grateful to her as this time I didn’t have a picture due to not wanting to change the actual cut/style. Thankfully she knew right away just want to do without taking from the hairstyle and I am absolutely in love again!
Thank you both so much, I really cannot recommend either Ella or Pam enough! Both excellent at what they do and really helpful!
Ilford Supercuts was the WORST…
Ilford Supercuts was the WORST experience ever, I've been getting my hair cut in so many places but never have I experienced the treatment I did today, Sonia made my whole experience just so uncomfortable from the start, she got shampoo in my eyes, her nails are so long they kept going in my eyes, she cut my fringe so bad that I went to rush and I promise the manager said go back and get a refund they have done it so bad, when I told Supercuts what they did, Sonia called me a liar, yet I still out of the goodness paid in FULL, I have a wedding tomorrow my hair can't be fixed.
Charged £20 for 2 min uneven dry trim on a 9 year old
Took my 9 year old for a back to school cut at the Leeds Merrion Centre branch. I asked for a kids wash and cut and was told they’d try and fit us in that afternoon but couldn’t make any promises. Asked if a dry cut would mean they’d be more likely to be able to fit us in, but were told they’d have to wash her hair to be able to cut it properly as it had got a bit curly and frizzy in the rain.
Got a text to return a couple of hours later, my little girl was so excited as she loves getting her hair done, but the stylist sat her down and spent two mins on a dry trim, without so much as a spray of water never mind the wash we were promised, then charged us £20 for the privilege. We were in and out in less than 5 mins.
When I washed and blow dried her hair at home that night I realised how bad the cut was, not even straight. We’ve had great service there before, but never again.
Ripped off - do not recommend!!
I had a dry cut at Westfield Stratford. I’ve been before and had a good experience. However, today I sat down, told the stylist what I wanted (1 inch off the length, my my existing feathers and layers trimming and a bit of thinning), which she agreed too. Then once she’d cut the length and feathers she said she couldn’t do anymore as it was against their policy for a dry cut. She claimed that layers are only cut in a wash and cut. I said it didn’t say that on the website and that hadn’t been the case previously but she refused to do it and said I was lucky she did my feathers, as that wasn’t technically allowed either. If they had told me that at the start I wouldn’t have had the cut - which presumably they know, as she originally agreed to my requests. I feel completely ripped off. Wouldn’t recommend Supercuts if this was the last salon in the UK.
Rotten service at Redditch
Went to get my hair cut at Redditch I asked the stylist would there be a wait yes she said 20 minutes there was a few in front fair enough t considering there were 2 stylist on then this woman walked in had a wait of about 25 minutes got up kicked up a bit of a stink jumped the queue was seen right a away the other stylist was to busy chatting to her friends but of a social club we complained but obviously if you shout the loudest you’ll get taken by the hand I got up and walked out in disgust I’ve been a customer for over 8 years and this is the way I get treated I won’t be back
Incredible experience!
I had the greatest haircut in my life! The staff were extremely friendly and approachable, asking me what I liked and giving suggestions! Ellie, who was my hairdresser, washed my hair and added some moisturiser as my ends were a bit dry. Then, she dried and brushed my hair. After that, she evenly cut my hair about an inch back. At the end, Ellie curled my hair really nicely, showing off my beautiful layers! Warning: I got told it would be a 2 1/2 hour wait but was pleasantly surprised with quite a bit less. I wouldn't rely on a short wait, even on less busy days.
The way I was spoken to when I booked…
The way I was spoken to when I booked an appointment for my daughter today said it was a two hour wait which was fine did some shopping and went bk to see what the wait was bloke in shop said I haven't sent any texts out I said I just wanted to check how long the wait was so off I went again shopping got a text on my phone went back and said I have received a text to say we are ready for you got to shop and he said I haven't sent any texts haven't been any were near it so I said well someone has as I have a text so he was just really rude how he spoke to me so no I won't be going back today sorry but I won't be spoken to like that by any one thought hair dressers where supposed to b professional at all times
