Surface Web Media 

I was cold called by this company over two and a half weeks ago to purchase google ads. i have just set up my own business and thought it may be a good idea so I went for it paying £149 for one month which I didn't think was too bad. I then spoke to One of their advisors a few hours later who came across as very genuine and ready to help. We set up my key phrases and then I waited. It's been nearly 3 weeks, i cannot find my ad on google or have I either had one enquiry. I have used every key phrase that they provided but my ad is nowhere to be seen. I have spoken to surface web media and they keep assuring me it is on there. I have now spoken to my bank to get my money back. I am a hard working business owner and tax payer and do not need this. Please do not book with this company, they are full of false promises.

EDIT: unfortunately the service after 3 days went down, havent seen my advert anywhere on the internet does not matter what time I checked. They said that the budget kept on running out, but after 12 normally it renews and I checked then as well, it was not there. I think they just take money. Put maybe £20 towards ad (in a month) and keep the rest.

Sent an email to cancel the subscription with them. They havent got back to me for 5 days. For two weeks I have been trying to get in touch with them, no answer.

Appalling SERVICE. Will be taking this further if I am charged another direct debit.

I got talked into paying for website design and google advertising on a cold call - overnight I realised it was way outside my budget and I did not need it. I spoke the accounts manager of Surface Web Media on the phone the next day to cancel and she told me no problem, to put it in writing to her in email. Not only have I STILL not received the £119 refund... for services I never got .. but they have been charging me 9.99 a month since October too! It is now Feb and they are still charging me despite numerous emails back and forth where she tells me she is sorry or has been out of the country and it's always "it will get refunded in 5-7 days". I wrote a letter of complaint to the company which was completely ignored... not even a reply! If they hadn't kept fobbing me off and telling me it was getting sorted I would have got it cancelled with my bank much sooner (I have just written the bank a letter). I am out of pocket and have wasted a lot of time in corresponding with them when they have no interest in sorting out the problem. At this stage they owe me £158.95. I have no qualms about complaining on here publicly because they have had over 4 months to sort this and have done nothing.
EDIT I came back on here to say that the money was finally refunded to me.. the manager having said "I'll refund you now if you take the review down" and I said no I won't take it down, but I will edit it to say that you paid. NB she was able to refund me INSTANTLY... showing me that all her emails about "I've passed it on to the finance dept and it should be with you in 5-7 days" were just fobbing me off. However now I see that the company have queried this review with a pack of absolute lies. I repeat, I NEVER received ANY service from Surfaceweb Media, I cancelled the next day after a cold call, amicably on my part, but from then on they have obfuscated, promised refunds, kept charging me while pretending they didn't know why this was happening or why this hadn't been refunded, and now they have written a complete fabrication below. I did not try to put on an ad myself and then call them. They called me with a cold call with aggressive selling techniques and talked me into something I didn't need. I was talked into ordering a new website to be designed and paid £119. Overnight I realised I totally did not need this so I rang and emailed them to cancel, they said no problem. There was no further talk of any service or ads, there was no "delay to the campaign" talked of, as I'd cancelled from my end. I never saw any ad on google and therefore was not submitting any complaints about a non-existing ad dropping off the main page... I was just waiting patiently to receive a refund, unaware for a couple of months that they were still also charging me 9.99 a month. I am not commenting on what their service is like for website design and advertising...as I never received this service. I am just stating that they repeatedly fobbed me off telling me I should have my refund while all the time they were just not giving me the refund for a genuine next day cancellation - and still charging me. Their customer service has been appalling and what's worst is they don't say what they mean and now have made up a story about why this review has happened.

Complete scam please dont make the same mistake as me.
I have paid over two years payment s to this company and recieved nothing for it.
I was sucked into the telephone sales ideas on how my company will grow with there expert knowledge and proffessional service.
You can never get a a reply from emails or telephone calls asking for help and advise that you are paying for.
Only time you here from this company is when they want more money from you.
Trust me when i say please stay away.
They have completely ripped me off and left me hundreds of pounds worse off.
I have had no 1 customer call from my website.

Surface media web is amazing absolutely impressed with my logo would defo recommend this. Really reliable and organised in always.

Taken the money and no reports to show what they have done , no action taken after i asked several times to produce a report, I was not expecting the world for the amount i paid! but getting nothing after nearly 3 months since the request and chased to be told excuse after excuse DO NOT USE !

I had calls from many companies offering me advertising and this is the first I have used. After the initial sales team call , I then only ever worked with Sam who was great. She listened and put an ad together, she knows her stuff and even gave me some advice on my website which was underperforming on organic searches . I had an ad for over a month and although had a few enquiries, there were teething problems with it the first time went out , so it was hard to gauge its effectiveness . Sam was on to it very quickly working with Google and contacting me despite being very busy . It does require some working out to get the best out of your budget. Sam is good at this and has helped me to understand the ins and outs of google and per per click advertising, and its good to work with someone you feel you can trust. After a short break I have now taken out another ad and my calls have increased. Thanks Sam.

Should have read reviews before trying these.
I was told before the next month I would get a phone call to say how my add was performing and if I wanted to carry on. Didn't receive a call. All i got was a phone call 3 times in the girat month saying that im not getting much calls becaise my webpage has adds and it will put people off and that i should sign up to them for 24 months for 9.99 for website services. I phoned on the day £199 left my account and wanted to cancel. Was told we would look into it. 3 weeks went by no phone call even though they say they phone weekly to update on progress so on. Bull s*** excuses every time. Then they say we need it in writing to cancel. And it clearly says it in the welcome pack. Even though I was told on the recorded phone calls I would be phoned to see if I wanted to carry on with this service. Avoid this company.
