This company is a SCAM. You can never reach anybody to talk to. The number never works. Their chat is like 1 message a day if you are lucky. My personal trainer never show up for a few times making me unable to finish my credits. And they just asked me to do a few sessions a week, which I’m not able to due to my schedule. They don’t do refunds.
DO NOT GIVE THEM MONEY!!! I went through the process for a private trainer. Though the contract promises one within 10 days I got the "We have so many trainers in your area I bet we have someone assigned this weekend" line. After 2+ weeks I was told me they couldn't find anyone in my area and were refunding me. I've been waiting on that for 2 months now. Was given the billing department number to follow up but no one ever answers. Don't do it!!!
GET OUT! This company is a SCAM. Do NOT go with them. They do everything possible to get money and when you ask questions, they ignore you and lie. They took money from me BEFORE my honeymoon and BEFORE my set initial start date. It took 2 MONTHS to find a consistent trainer as they were still charging me. Then I asked to pause because they were not delivering the service. They tried to tell me there is a charge even though initially they said it’s fine. Then they SURPRISE charged me $450 for the pause even though I specifically asked if there will be anymore charges and they lied. I have been fighting to get reimbursed, especially since my 3 months that we agreed on WERE FULLY PAID. So please save your money and energy and go somewhere else. They do not give two shits about you, your physical well-being, and mental health.
Total Scam. Svetness collected funds promising a trainer within a couple days (contractually, they had 10 days.) After 10 days, they claimed there were no trainers in our city of 110,000 people. Then they had 30 days to 'hold' funds before returning. We are over 50 days and though I'm told the funds are being returned, they haven't been.
I signed up with Svetness and purchased 60 PT sessions for $4,500. This was to be based on 5 workouts a week for 3 months. (So $75 per session) The trainer they “selected” for me texted me and I quickly found out he had very minimal experience, and was very young. I’m a 55 year old woman and I thought this was a poor match. I was also disappointed that I paid that much money only to be assigned to a very inexperienced trainer. I contacted the person who had done my consultation/intake to be reassigned, which during the consultation she had told me could be done. She talked me out of it and said to just give him a chance. I worked out with him for a month. During our workouts his attention was on other things. His phone, reading and responding to text messages, etc. He would rush the workouts and leave 20 minutes early, consistently. I then got assigned to another trainer who was actually quite good. But it was a very disappointing start.
Another letdown was the nutritionist. She was not available to meet with me until 3 weeks in to my “membership”. This ticked me off because I mentioned that the nutritionist was important to me during the consult, nobody told me they have only 1 to service all Svetness members and that she was backed up 3 weeks. The nutritionist should be the first person you see.
Then I was a few days late in letting them know I didn’t want to continue my membership. They were fully aware I was unhappy, yet they charged me another $1,500 for 20 more sessions.(That I did not want, at all) Sucks because there’s no getting out of it, it’s in the contract. They couldn’t care less if you’re happy.
Then I didn’t use my 20 sessions in their allotted time frame, so they took the remaining 16 away and that was going to be that, I was essentially forfeiting my sessions and my $1,200. This was due to holidays, illness, vacation. So, to be clear..they forced me into another 20 sessions for $1,500 but then attempted to take 16 away, because my “time” was up. Only after I pitched a fit did they offer to let me use the remaining sessions for an additional fee of $150. I said no way, you’re charging me $150 to use 16 sessions that I paid $1,200 for and I didn’t even want them in the first place? So they gave me 30 days to use the remaining sessions. Wow, thanks so much for that.
It’s funny..5 star reviews on Svetness website, 1 star reviews here and bad ones everywhere else. Where’s the lie? They don’t care about customer satisfaction, they just want to bang your credit card as many times as they can. Needless to say, I would NOT recommend.
I had an hour long consultation that went poorly. The trainer had me fill out a FAQ form prior to this meeting. I don`t feel that he understood my situation and he developed some misconceptions about my situation. When I tried to correct them he doubled down and would not listen to me and insisted that his thoughts were correct. I felt that his suggestions were borderline dangerous for me to do. So I abruptly ended the conversation.
They mistakenly went through with a auto renewal of my plan when I requested them for account termination, and its been 6 months since they said they would give me a refund, but nothing has come through. Terrible response from the company. Would not recommend.
This place is a total SCAM. RUN! they will charge your credit card, the trainer flakes out on you, then they wont return your money!
My son was getting ready to join the army and asked me for a fitness trainer last January. I reached out to Svetness and made a six-month contract. I was told that the contract was only for six months and that if we needed to continue, we could call them back to either go month-to-month or set up another contract. The contract was online, and I regret not keeping a copy of it.
By June, I thought our contract was finished. However, I found a $320 charge on my July credit card statement. It took me a few days to speak with someone from their company, and I was informed that they had switched us to a monthly plan without our permission. I asked to speak with a supervisor, but that was two weeks ago. Since then, I have called the company main office ten times, left messages, texted, and emailed their agent, Greg Peter, who contracted with us in my city, but I have received no response at all. They didn’t even provide my son with the July training that they charged us for. I am still trying to talk with someone to get the contract stopped.
Please be careful when choosing which company to deal with.
My trainer has been amazing! But the company has definitely not met the mark. After signing up and paying in full (in advance) I was charged an additional $1k after reaching out a month in advance yo speak to a representative about my remaining sessions due to injury. They were communicating with me when they believed I would continue but as soon as I indicated injury then went dark. One month passed before I heard back from them and I only received a bill. When I called to speak with a representative they did very little to support my remaining 50+ sessions and reimbursement of their additional charges. I’m so disappointed with Svetness for their lack of empathy and care for their customers. I would recommend not using them based on their poor communication and contracted terms.
