Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 56 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Customers frequently encounter unexpected extra charges, incorrect billing statements, and frustrating experiences during contract renewals. People struggle to reach helpful support, often experiencing long wait times, broken promises, and unhelpful responses from staff. Additionally, technical issues like constant broadband dropouts and poor network reception leave many consumers deeply disappointed. However, some people mentioned that certain local branch employees were patient and genuinely tried to help resolve billing issues. A few reviewers also noted that their specific grievances were eventually sorted out and technical errors were successfully resolved after speaking with understanding representatives.

Absolutely terrible

Absolutely terrible. Their broadband deals are designed to rip you off in the final year - having to fork out £41/mnth for 150Mbps. Looking forward to NEVER having anything to do with EE ever again! Good riddance.

Absolutely DO NOT GO WITH THEM

Absolutely DO NOT GO WITH THEM. Two sales man came to our door and said full fibre would be available in our road and we could switch over to EE (they pay the switch fee) and it would be lower payments monthly. Absolute lies. We’ve switched back to Virgin as soon as we found out full fibre was never coming to our area and the top speed we could get with EE (broadband only) was 60 and with Virgin we had 250. We have been massively missold and they now won’t pay the over £300 cancellation fee or the two months they charged us even though we never used their service. DO NOT USE. Terrible customer service too.

Don’t trust the EE promise…

I’ve been a loyal customer of EE since the days of T-Mobile. I run 3 phones and have paid a premium for my services for many years. During the Black Friday sales Voxi were offering a great SIM only deal, perfect for teenagers. I contacted EE to obtain relevant PAC codes but was persuaded to wait until 2 of the 3 contracts came to an end. I have had several calls today with EE today to discover they cannot get anywhere close to the deal I discussed previously. Call backs promises were not kept and I shall be pursuing further to gain access to the recording of the conversation held earlier in December. The moral of the story is- Don’t trust ‘Britain’s most trusted Network’

Having been with no other mobile…

Having been with no other mobile provider since mid 1990's (Orange then EE) I was extremely disappointed with recent customer service provided after renewal of my contract.
Instead of a Galaxy S25 Ultra I received a 'Dummy' S23 (confirmed by staff at an EE store).
I was promised contact from fraud department within 3 working days to discuss.
No contact after one week so called EE and after going through whole story for 4th time told I'd be sent a bag to return 'dummy' handset so warehouse could carry out examination, same warehouse that had packed 'dummy' phone.
So, extremely poor service, no apology, no explanation or customer understanding.
Shall be leaving EE

I would give 0 if I could

I would give 0 if I could. Woke up to £300 taken from my account, now have to go through Ombudsman to try and resolve as apparently I agreed to cancel one of my contracts early, like people haven’t got enough going on. I’ve been a loyal customer for years and years why would I just end a contract like I can afford to pay out right! And to top it off the signal is absolutely rubbish !!!

Have to give 1 star to EE is one too…

Having to give 1 star to EE is one too many. EE for the last 5 months hasn't provided any mobile service in my area but continued to charge me the full price monthly. I finally left EE today, the best feeling for the last 5 months, to be able to use my mobile phone wherever I go. My experience rate with EE is 0 ( zero) in everything. This is how good I rate them. If you are thinking in moving to EE, RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!

Rip off EE…

I tried to get a PAC via text to avoid customer service. Auto text advised as I was on a multi contract it couldn't do this and I need to go to Myee online. Did this but continually got "this page isn't working" meaning, hey ho I have to call customer service, after 35 minute wait I got through. 12 months ago, I purchased a new Honor phone for my wife and EE threw in a free Honor tablet, didn't need it but accepted as it was FREE. Several months later I realised that EE were charging me £22.00 a month for said free tablet. Trying to get some sense out of their shop staff was nigh on impossible but eventually managed to speak to a "guide" on the phione, who recognised the problem and I got a refund, with no interest offered on EE having my money for 9 months. I have now ditched EE for Lebara, massively cheaper and when the remaining part of the contract, for my wifes Honor phone is up, I will do the same for hers.

EE has one of the most difficult…

EE has one of the most difficult cancellation processes among mobile operators. The only way to cancel a SIM plan is by calling 150, which typically involves a waiting time of 30–40 minutes.

Although EE promotes its app, website, and text support as convenient service channels, none of these options actually allow you to cancel your plan — they all redirect you to call 150, making the process unnecessarily time-consuming and frustrating.

It’s unclear why EE does not provide an online, email, chat, or direct cancellation option, which would greatly improve the customer experience.

EE used to provide a very efficient and affordable service but within the last couple of years they have become very expensive. We moved over to their broadband from Sky which has proved to be a big mistake. Promised a lot but not delivered. Not impressed at all with it compared to the Sky package and its expensive. Overall its seems they charge you for every additional service they offer. NOT happy with it at all and we will complete a buy out of the contract soon. EE used to offer a very competitive and cost effective service but have now dropped off BIG TIME. Time to leave!!!

My experience with EE was horrible

My experience with EE was horrible. I went with my friend in early September to get a 4G device for our flat and after we connected it in our flat it stopped being functionable after just a few days. We were very disappointed and called to cancel our account with EE and told on the phone that we wouldn't get charged for the first month. We ended up getting charged and when we called to ask for refund they said they would refund us in late October. We then didnt get refunded and spent a lot of time on the phone with many incompetent employees that all failed to access our account on the phone and would not help us understand what was the issue with the refund and why we hadn’t gotten the 40 pounds yet!!
Overall the experience was horrible and I would not recommend.

Smart 5G Hub return/ Refund nightmare

Returning a Smart 5G Hub was an absolute nightmare. Once I received it I found it didn't suit the purpose intended which is fine. I called about returning it which should be easy. 1 month and a half and 7 phone calls i finally received an tiny envelope for a box to return, so I just taped the envelope to the box. it then took another month and a half and 5 phone calls to receive a refund. in all this time I kept receiving letters saying I was missing payments and that my account will be cancelled. I filed a complaint on the phone and still never got a callback withing 72 hours which I was promised. Every phone call felt ignored after I spoke to them, Highly recommend to steer clear of using EE in the future.

I’ve had a terrible experience with EE mobile broadband. Constant dropouts, incorrect billing showing £1,200 owed, and repeated suspensions caused by EE’s own mistakes. I was mis-sold two SIMs I didn’t need and spent days on the phone trying to fix problems EE created. Even staff in-store admitted I shouldn’t have been sold that setup. I rely on Wi-Fi for work and this whole experience has been stressful and disruptive. I’ve cancelled within my cooling-off period and switched to Sky — never again.

EE provider are rubbish

EE provider are rubbish. They are not able to manage EE/Broadband together . My concerns opened since June 2024 and after 15 months still unresolved.
Made at least 20+ complaints but officers in the EE has no clue how to resolve the complaints.
