Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 59 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. People frequently struggled with poor customer service, describing long waiting times, rude representatives, and ongoing difficulties reaching a real person for assistance. Consumers also complained bitterly about unexpected overcharging, increasingly expensive price plans, and continuous broadband connection drops that consistently remained completely unresolved. Though some customers encountered severe issues across multiple services, a few reviewers were very happy with local staff members who patiently resolved their billing problems. These individuals felt genuinely supported when helpful representatives successfully put monthly bills on hold or quickly fixed unexpected technical errors during their store visits.

Scammers

This company is in the same category as the likes of OVO and the rest of the scammers aloud to operate in this country now.
They persuade you ( lie to you) to take on an "improved" product and it turns out to be worse than what you had before, and when you try to contact them their "system" is down, and don't be conned by the people you just might eventually speak to, they all appear very nice, but they are liars as well

Unbelievable incompetence!

Unbelievable incompetence!

I swapped from BT to EE as BT told me EE were taking over their services. This has to the the worst experience of high level incompetence from day one in March 24 to today and I expect this will continue for the foreseeable future! Day 1, the engineer didn't set anything up correctly, I have had 2 more engineers out who eventually got me working, but now every time I turn my tablet on, it is connected without Internet! I have to reset the WiFi on the tablet several times per day. Evetytime I went out of the house, the signal on my phone dropped, I was continuously restarting my phone to get a signal. The WiFi in the bedroom drops on a regular basis even though I am in a bungalow, so the signal doesn't need to travel far. I was charged double on my first bill, I complained which had me on the phone to them for almost two hours, the second bill I was overcharged by almost £100, the latest bill they are trying to charge me for a digital phone which I don't have, EE know that, why can't they get it right! I have wasted almost 10 hours talking to them on the phone. I DO NOT RECCOMEND EE TO ANYBODY. IF I COULD RATE THEM AS 0 I WOULD!

Skip 2 weeks later what a shock still have no tv or broadbrand! and now to find out the new address is actually incorrect on their system. Iv never known customer service like this… useless and liars. AVIOD AVIOD

False information

Website lets you book in phone repair at shops to be fixed within 2 hours - not true. Went there and was told by shop attendant "oh yeah, people do book to repair here but we dont do it" Really? So if your desperate enough to want your phone fixed you have to go Westfield. I tried to complain on website and even their complaints form doesnt work. Gives you indication of how this firm is run. Incompetent.

NEVER EVER SIGN UP WITH EE!!

I have been with EE since they were Orange as have my husband and son. The customer service is horrific!! The only way you can speak to a human being is if you go through to disconnections. Then you are on hold for over 30 minutes.

Sometimes you need to speak to a human and not an app or automated service. EE you should be ashamed of yourselves for what you charge customers. Absolutely shocking, I would never ever recommend EE. NEVER!!!!

I cancelled after reading the bad reviews

I went to get bt broad band and TV. They went through the broad band then said we do the television. And they could change my O2 to EE.
My wife phoned and I explained the deal. She was asleep not happy with EE
The bt sales man assured me everything would be good
I went through with it
I got home looked at the dreadful reviews and went on line and cancelled under the 14 day cool off
All these reviews with nothing good to be said about them cannot be a lie
I keep getting messages but I will just block them
I have cancelled online

ABSOLUTE WASTE OF TIME CONTACTING EE.

Went through 1p mobile to EE from Giffgaff. Informed that my number was ported successfully 50 hours ago only to find that I have no telephone call facility. Contacted EE as 1p Mobile says they have not responded to request to find out what the problem is. Spent ages posting info to EE only to be told hours later that there was nothing they could do. This actual conversation online was total waste of hours of my time as the person dealing with it could have told me the information in the first place. Although they have failed to explain what has gone wrong it is nothing to do with them still!!?? It just seems that no one is responsible when someone loses their phone number and cannot make calls in or out. Everyone has a reason to blame someone else and no one takes the blame and you’ll never get to the bottom of anything that that’s gone on because no one cares enough to tell you.
Useless customer services once more.

Just don't bother

Tried to order a phone, absolutely terrible service, demanding extra identification - hours after the order was placed, for a phone.... Feels like some sort of scam and then they still didn't process the order after several hours. And we had paid for before 12 delivery, which was never going to happen. Talked to others and they had similar issues, but also had faulty payment screens, incorrect messages about cancelled orders and stroppy call center staff.
Just a complete mess.

Just an awful money grabbing company

Just an awful money grabbing company. Started my contract at £84 per month. Now £102.50 per month. I had a watch with them and let the contract run out. Was £27 per month. Now my new bill without the watch is £110 per month?? Contacted them and got told tough, nothing we can do, no help, no ideas, no solutions. Please do not use EE, they are just the biggest rip-off company out there. I'd leave if I could but they load the early cancellation fee that high that it's impossible to afford.

Took out 2 mobile contracts at store

Took out 2 mobile contracts at store. Neither had any service where I live. Despite postcode checker saying great 4g and 5g. After weeks of no help from customer services, failed callbacks and them closing my complaints,I cancelled direct debits and contacted ombudsman who told me after weeks that felt ee done enough to help. Yet they done nothing. Theve smashed my credit score to bits despite me eventually paying both contracts in full to end the bombarding of threatening letters and debt collection. And on top of this I also lost my number I took to them and had for years. They really don't care one bit. Hours spend on customer services and emails. All useless. And no cooling off period if bought from a store. only online.Postcode checker lies. Store lies. Customer services lies.complaints department lies and ombudsman sides with them. BEWARE. Also still reporting non payment monthly to credit ref agency despite paying all moneys owed months ago.

Took money that wasn't theirs to take

Took £350+ from my account for cancellation fees in spite of being within the cooling off period when cancelling the contract.

I'd received reassurances on more than one occasion that this wouldn't happen, and having called up about the money was told it would be back within 7 working days. After a week and two days it's not back in my account.

Avoid these cowboys at all costs

EE/BT Social Tariff for Mobiles

Ofcom and Age Uk are letting pensioners who receive Pension Credit know that they are eligible for a Social Tariff reduction on their mobile phone payments. My mobile sim only deal is with EE, I'm 72 and on Pension Credit. At the moment I pay around £32 a month so I rang EE. The person I spoke to had not heard if this. She did not know what a Social Tariff was, but was pretty certain EE/BT did not do it. She said she'd consult someone and put me on hold for 12 minutes and did not return. I then hung up, tired of listening to the dreadful tinny music. But I persisted. I rang again and spoke to the marvellous Giz. He DID know all about the Social Tariff!! He worked through the short process and within 10 minutes I'd accepted a new Tariff HALF what I'm currently paying. Giz is with BT/EE, its easy for customers to feel muddled by the merger of the 2 companies. Perhaps just one name would simplify things? My Tariff begins on Monday, so in just a few days. I encourage all customers on Universal Credit or Pension Credit to give this a go! Test the waters with your suppliers. And above all PERSIST as I had to today. Thanks for being fabulous, Giz!!!

Customer Service

I have just listened to my daughter on to Avril who, quite frankly couldn't be bothered to help. Spent most of the call silent and making notes. Seemed unable to read or understand any notes left following the previous 4 calls my daughter had made. All she wanted was a sim only following her upgrade. Time for some training I think EE
