Have had problems with internet slowing/dropping for the last 5-6 weeks, reported issues and completed tests etc as requested without success, have recently needed to add a safeguard alarm for my 86 year old mother, which requires a continuous connection to the internet so the personal alarm could contact the control centre, I managed to contact the tech team who said the needed to do a line test and would report back to me, nothing came, then a link was sent to resolve our problem via WhatsApp, after 3.5 hours yes 3.5 hours ( only because I became bloody minded did I continue) still without success, then I had a reply stating they were closed and I could continue my discussion in 11.5 hours, does this company not care about an 86 year old lady that has trusted and paid without question this company, in light of my experience as her son in law, I say not one bit, you should never trust this company with the safety of your elderly family members.

Awful customer service. Took over 2 hours and still can't register. Avoid at all cost.

I cannot recommend this service based on my experience.
Following the switch to Full Fibre, my Digital Voice service stopped working after just one day. I was then told it would take several days to fix, leaving me without a reliable landline.
To make matters worse, the company is refusing to provide the free one-hour Battery Backup Unit (BBU) despite Ofcom's requirements to protect customers (where relevant) who rely on their landline during power cuts.
A unreliable service and disappointing customer support have made this a very frustrating experience. I expected far better.

Atrocious customer service. Spent more than an hour trying to cancel the account on the online chat after attempts at trying to sell me full fibre broadband, which isn't available in my area, and also trying to decrease the cost, still above that of their competitors. I was finally transferred to the cancellation team. Then took more than 40 minutes before I had a response. Thankfully, I was able to get through to the team by telephone instead, though the entire process felt incredibly anti-consumer, and TalkTalk should be ashamed of this.

paying for 500mbps only getting 90 at most now. Been this way for weeks. Still the case. This far below the minimum much the advertised 500.

I signed up for sky as no chance of getting any sense
from talktalk they wouldn't even use my name correctly.
talktalk took it on themselves to cancel my contract with sky for no reason. I got in touch with ofcom to get some advice. I think it is sorted now but talktalk are saying I owe them £62 or there abouts which is fiction.
I would advise anyone to give them a very wide birth.
I have just gone through all the rig ma roll of signing up to sky again and would you believe talk talk have stopped the change over to sky once again. Helen Ramsay Lang.

Terrible. Everything was fine until I moved. Then the WiFi was no longer reliable it kept cutting out and would not come back online for hours. I tried to complain but all they wanted to do was send and engineer out and charge me for it. Which I refused. I did mention they had been over charging me which the woman on the phone denied. She then advised my complaint was closed and there was nothing they could do unless I paid for the engineer. Then 3 weeks later. No explanation. No contact from them. Suddenly my account was corrected to the correct charges and credit was applied to the account.
Fast forward. I’m now homeless. And I noticed them. Even after wasting countless hours on the phone waiting for a team that I never got through too. And I left the property 29th June. Notified them as soon as possible. Their cancellation process is a joke. I have had to pay for the entirety of July for a service I have not been able to use nor benefited from. And then today I get my bill and there’s no end of contract charge as I was advised. Like my contract isn’t going to end. I will not be using their services in the future. It is not worth the hassle or the stress. Plus their customer service is appalling.

This is the last time, Im writing about this horrible company as Im officially done. I had a guy come to my house drilling holes to fit this full fibre which never worked cos I got told it was cancelled because they couldn't get it to work in my area. I asked what's the solution? They tell me "Wait for another offer, for now. Im sorry, nothing. Can you return the equipment that was installed in your home?" I asked what about the damages in my home? The holes you drilled? Their response "I'm sorry, nothing we can do. Can you return the equipment?"
I have never felt so frustrated, so angry, so cheated and disgusted by such customer service. I'm swapping into a another company and I warn anyone who is reading this, for your sanity and time, stay away from this deceitful company. I'm done with them and honestly, I hope you never even begin your journey with them. It will only end in anger and frustration.
1014172127 - There's my account number, dont bother calling me. Listen to all our phone calls regarding cityfibre and realise how useless your staff are and have caused me nothing but grief from the start of this headache. I'm swapping now to a different company and ending my contract

Unbelievable company. Paid a final bill after much time wasted and arguing over a cancellation request that was never actioned resulting in an unjustified charge. Have since received another bill despite them admitting service was cut months ago. Wont tell me why as it is my father’s account who has severe dementia and cannot confirm he holds the account. This was all explained to them on the last altercation where were assured by the debt collection agency that the final bill was paid and the account closed. They should be banned from trading.

I have been with TalkTalk around 14 years or more, and they are progressively getting worse. they keep telling me I am on Fast Fibre 150 I don't even have fibre into the house as I I'm still on copper. They have given me a new contract which should be £27PM but my bill comes in £45pm I have made endless calls to them explaining the problem and they still don't get it right. I have now cancelled my direct debit. Still not sorted
Customer service not Helpful.

The beginning of this year I have a phone call or letter I can't remember which asking me if I would like a new type router and my monthly payment would drop.
I duly agreed.
The router was connected and suddenly I was getting letters through the post saying when my payment was due.
Never had that before as it goes out of my bank monthly. However my payment had increased not dropped. This week I read the bumph they send and it says save yourself £33 a year by opting out of receiving reminders.
I never opted in!
So yesterday or the day before I can't remember I spent 3 hours on my What's App which they had contacted me on trying to explain to staff out in outer Mangolia or where ever that I want to stop the letters. I thought it was sorted.
However I had another advisor contact me again today on my What's app and tried again to explain that it has been sorted. However I might as well have spoken to a brick wall. I have now sent a screen shot of the letter I had through the post saying to contact them if I want to not pay the £33 to opt out.
This nonesense has taken about another 3 hours of my precious time.
I am 81 and all this has been stressful.
I am not being againt offshore advisors but seriously they are not the same as someone in this country as they know what you are saying about online banking and I am aware it is going out by seeing it all on my banking app.
I am seriously thinking of going elsewhere as my patience has been tried to the limits.
They should give me back the £15 plus they have had off me this year for the pesky letters I have had which were not requested.
This has actually made me feel ill and I have Angina and doing my best to stay cool.
We have many people out of work in this country desperately looking for jobs. Think about it Talk Talk. They are very polite but do not have UK knowledge regarding online banking.
Sorry to be frank but seriously too much stress.

Thank you for getting back and I hate doing bad reviews but the off shore advisors knew nothing about the postage charge and that we could get it removed.
It was seriously like talking to a brick wall and not their fault.
Thank you for sorting it out.
Your charges are competitive and I have never had bad reception.
The matter is closed now and if you want my review removed that is fine by me.
However your reply is a credit to you so maybe it should remain.

"We have to talk to the account holder" "The account holder is my 78 year old mother, who you told had to have a broadband contract, that you have been unable to set up, and whose pphone you have now cut off. So you can't talk to her because thanks to you she has no internet and now no phone either." "We can only talk to the account holder." "But as I said, you can't talk to the account holder because you just cut her phone off." "Is she with you in the room now?" "No, she's in a different county." "We can only speak to the account holder…" "That's my 78 year old mother, with a heart condition, whose phone you have just cut off, and whose internet you haven't set up. So you'll have to deal with me." "We can only speak to the account holder." "Again, how do you propose to do that? Given you've cut off all her means of communication?"
Repeat to fade.
Don't work with these people, they're awful. Literally literally use ANYONE else.

Utterly awful customer service experience. Web chat for a hour with them taking between 10 and 30 minutes to respond to each message. Then 3.5 hours on the phone being passed in a circle between Technical, Order Management and Loyalty teams, none of them could help.
The reason I was calling them was because I was due to upgrade to Full Fibre and they switched off my old connection before my new connection was up and running, despite having promised me the day before that it wouldn't be disconnected until an engineer arrived. An engineer never arrived but the internet was off by the time we woke up at 6am.
I did not have the power cable for the fibre box on the wall, they could not order this for me until tomorrow (why?!), and then it would take 2-3 working days for delivery. That would be a week with no internet. Apparently nothing they could do.
I was so frustrated with them that I wanted to cancel the Full Fibre and go back to the old contract. They couldn't cancel Full Fibre as it was inactive (because I didn't have a power cable). They couldn't reinstate my old package, why on earth not?!. I went round in circles like this for so long.
When I mentioned compensation for being without internet they said they would put mention it in the notes on my account, that this is their process for organising compensation. Sounds ridiculous.
So, so, so terrible. Atrocious. I hope I never need to speak to them again, and will be switching provider as soon as I can.

I've been with talktalk for many years, internet connection is good, never had an issue and customer service used to be good. I am going to a different provider now because the price is too high and I can find much better deals so and I am going through the cancellation process, and here is how it is going:
- They don't offer chat anymore o their website, I looked everywhere, they say "please contact us via chat" BUT THERE'S NO PLACE WHERE YOU CAN GET IN TOUCH VIA CHAT
- Called them and chat is available only through the app. Why they don't say that on the website?
Now the worst: the website says my renewal in on February 2027 but the contract I have in my inbox is dated September 2024 and valid for 24 months, so it should end September 2026. When asked them they said the "new contract" email might have gone to SPAM, yeah, sure, very convenient, I receive EVERY single talktalk email to date, I have all previous contract renewals emails but casually this contract renewal that supposedly happened 6 months after another renewal (?) went o my SPAM folder... My conditions remain the same, price, speed... Why would I have renewed 6 months after a renewal and kept everything the same? It would make sense if I had gone for a different product, I wanted to change my speed, but again: Why would I have renewed my contract 6 months after a renewal, 18 months before the end of the contract TO KEEP SPEED AND PRICE THE SAME? Make it make sense
Talktalk keeps saying the new contract date is correct and, when you leave the contract you pay a penalty according to the quantity of months left in the contract and all of a sudden they have 5 extra months to charge me... How convenient for them!
Dishonest!

I ordered talk talk broadband they give me appointment three week later for installation near that date they told me because of some they need to install small box outside my home they change my appointment f**n two months later than I try to cancel my contract before its begin I waste my half day to cancel it.

I spent 50 mins typing to a chat repeating the problem with my email over and over again. They kept trying to send a verification to the faulty email! Eventually someone said that the problem would be fixed in 24 hours. It wasn't so another hour was spent repeating everything again to a robot and four different employees. They finally said that someone would call within 24 hours. They didn't so back on the chat repeating everything again. The chat stopped responding and no one has called.
I have now solved the problem myself by switching to a new provider. Absolutely shocking customer service.
