Fast delivery and good quality of products.

I use Thalia it all the time. They have a great selection of books, the orders always arrive before the expected delivery date. Will use again ❤️

Buying and downloading process was very easy. The computer app is sometimes difficult to manage (the appearing and disappearing menu hides some navigation controls), but otherwise I would recommend.

As always, I had a great experience. I was at the Thalia shop today and found a few english books, but they were cheaper online, so asked why there is this difference. They reacted really nice and said that english books are not price-maintained in Germany and are sometimes on sale online, but rarely in store. So they sold me the books for the online price, which I did not expect! Really really nice :))

The price is just the same with other sellers. And the delivery was very fast. Super gut.

From the time i made the order until i receive the product thalia was there with me. That felt really good. Keep it up!

I ordered a book which had a tentative leadtime of 3 weeks back in December, 2022.

Once I checked out, my account page indicated that the possible delivery window was Jan 23-25, 2023.

A few days later I received an E-mail informing me that there might be a delay.
No problem I thought, it was a busy Christmas period afterall.

Afterwards there was no update regarding my order, so I decided to contact their customer support in February, who informed me they are not receiving deliveries from abroad at the time.

After this communications the tentative delivery date was still Jan 23-25,2023 on my profile.

I waited until this week before finally cancelling my order after I managed to track down the book on another site.
Now I'm waiting for my refund, which hopefully arrives soon.

They sell items that they never will/can deliver... so if you see something that is sold out everywhere else and you can still buy it here even it gives you a delivery date and all... well you probably won't ever get it.

Recently got a Kindle as a Christmas present (I don’t like Amazon but obviously welcome the gift). Wanted to buy a book so went to thalia.de and purchased the ebook assuming there would be some way to read this on my kindle. After an over an hour of trying and 2 mobile apps + an adobe desktop app, it turns out there isn’t a way to do this without even more apps to remove some sort of file protection. Since I was at this point pretty fustrated by the whole situation I simply typed in the name of the book + epub in Google and downloaded it for free in seconds and sent it directly to my Kindle. I don’t wanna support Amazon and I also want artists to get money for their work so i won’t apply for a refund but please don’t make it this painful to read an ebook. Copywriting the file with adobe is completely pointless, it’s readily available online anyway, the people paying for it are normally doing this because they went to pay for the work.

I now see the reason for this incompatibility is due to Thalia selling their own Tolino e-reader (i’d never heard of this before) but realistically I’m not gonna be coming back to the site to buy another ebook after this experience. Please add a notice that the ebooks are only usable via your own apps at some point during the purchase process.

Great online experience and super fast delivery.

I’ve ordered many times, and even own the Tolino Epos 3. In terms of books, they have a fantastic selection, especially in English. There hasn’t been a single book I wanted that they didn’t have. In terms of the Tolino Epos 3, it’s so so so much better than a Kindle. Better specs but more importantly it’s open, you can use the format you want for it and it’s easy to unlock the OS and use it as an Android tablet. I use it to read manga and it’s amazing.
The prices are also good, sometimes great with the regular sales they have. I would say one place of improvement is the website design. I think there should be more options to browse books under categories instead of the limited selection they show.

I love that there are books of so many different genres: from academic through Disney Villains to mystery novels by local authors. The language availability is also amazing! Every time I need a book, I come to Thalia and I know I won’t be disappointed!

Second time I buy a book and is delivered with months of delay.

They show as available books that are not and they provide misleading communication. Don't trust what the page say and their knowledge about their own logistics.

I ordered the 4 books of a series. The last 3 ones eventually arrived but the first one didn't, despite being shown as available in the page with a delivery within 3-5 days. I followed up twice by mail and each time Thalia answered that the book would come, so I waited. 40+ days after my original order they told me that the book was no longer available (despite still being shown as such online).

Since it made no sense for me to have the three last books of a series if the first one was missing, I tried to return them. Initially they refused to do it because the return period had expired (I was waiting for the first book to arrive for 1'5 months!). Only after pointing out how misleading the whole process had been they agreed to make an exception and eventually issued a refund.

At the end, 2 months after my original order, I'm in the same situation: without the books I wanted but luckily with my money back.

I'll never order from Thalia again. It was a waste of time and almost a waste of money.
