Booked a flight with Qatar Airways via these guys. Despite the fact that qatar have offered full refund, thetravelhouse are charging a £75 admin fee per person. Will know better next time and will book direct.

Upon reviewing your case, I would like to clarify the £75 administrative fee. This fee covers various costs associated with ticket issuance, refund processing, payment handling, and other related administrative work. We aim to remain transparent regarding such charges, and this fee is clearly stated in our website’s terms and conditions.
As your booking was made under a specially discounted fare, the ticket was purchased at a lower promotional rate compared with many other available options in the market. These reduced fares are secured under specific airline conditions and often involve additional internal costs on our side. In cases where passengers request cancellation after ticket issuance, we will still incur costs such as airline issuance charges to our supplier, payment card processing fees, and ticket procurement expenses. The administrative fee helps cover part of these costs, which is why it applies in such situations.
As outlined in the terms and conditions agreed to at the time of booking, any changes or cancellations requested after ticket issuance are subject to the applicable administrative fees, which unfortunately cannot be waived.

Scam tactics. Avoid.
I strongly recommend avoiding The Travel House at all costs. After my flights were cancelled last minute, they have spent weeks lying to me to avoid processing a refund.
They repeatedly claimed only "travel credits" were available, despite me having written proof from the airline confirming a full cash refund was authorized. They are intentionally providing false information to hold onto customer money.
Their staff admitted in writing they were "requesting a refund," yet they told my bank I was a "no-show" to block my dispute. This is fraudulent behavior. I’ve had to escalate this as a Section 75 claim. Do not trust these people with your money, they are incompetent at best and deceptive at worst.

After a thorough investigation with our team, we understand that your original booking was for 22nd February (LHR–SFO) with a return on 25th February (SFO–LHR). As per the airline’s policy, your return flight was automatically cancelled due to a no-show recorded on your outbound journey. Please note that when a passenger does not take the outbound flight, the return segment is typically cancelled by the airline.
We also understand that you have been in contact with the airline directly. As they advised, alternative flight options were not available. However, they have offered a flight credit, which can be used within one year from the date of issuance.
We understand that you requested a refund; however, the airline has declined this request, as the no-show on the outbound flight resulted in the cancellation of the booking, which falls under their fare rules and policies.
If you would still like to proceed with the travel credit or require further assistance in utilizing it, you may contact the airline directly, or we would be happy to guide you further.
Please note that we have written confirmation from the airline regarding this matter.
