Went in the Leek Toolstation store and simply asked if they knew of a tool that would work on a VW bolt I brought with me. Was told to look it up in their catalogue. The point being that if your not sure what tool you're going to need and subsequently not sure what you supposed to be searching for in their catalogue, don't bother asking these guys for advice as they do not have a clue!
When I got home, I found a way around without the spline tool, or whatever it was, so after that waste of time Toolstation will not be getting a penny from me today - I think these guys are more about small town prejudice than making money selling tools anyway.
