Bad experience every time I go to babies r us don’t know if it’s the company or the stores.
Had a baby registry and so many complications with it, things were not saying purchased even tho they were and people were telling the staff that it’s off a registry. Went in after baby shower at 37 weeks pregnant to return things and they gave me such a hard time and said I couldn’t return anything without a receipt even though it was there fault that things were purchased multiple times since they don’t know how to work a baby registry . This is something they should really work on considering pregnant women do not want to deal with these kind of issues. I had to buy my stuff that I needed and this wasn’t fair considering I had a whole bunch of things that I had double of and could have returned for the items that I needed. SO not happy

It says on the website and on their gift cards that you can use them online but there’s no option to use them when you try to check out online. I sent and email asking about it and never got a response. I got the gift cards as gifts, I never would have wanted them in the first place. I don’t live close to a store so I can’t go there and use them.

I’m a 7 month pregnant woman whom just wanted to order a nursing chair. Usually I would pick it up in store, but let's be real, how was I supposed to move this myself? I ordered my swivel glider chair at the beginning of November 2019. Within a week, I hadn’t heard anything about shipping, so I decided to email their customer service. I didn’t receive an email response for a month and a half, to which I got a generic response not even addressing the situation. For the months of November and December 2019 I ended up spending almost 5 and a half hours on HOLD, and almost 4 hours speaking to customer service reps. One time I was told that the warehouse lost my order. One rep told me that they had 72 in stock, and then another rep told me that rep was lying and it had been back ordered the entire time. I spoke to a manager who suggested I cancel my order and order a new chair, which I was not pleased about, but complied because I just wanted a damn chair at this point. She said that it would ship immediately. A week later (mid-December) I got an email saying the new chair had shipped. It is now Jan 3, 2020 and I still have no chair!!!!! I had to call again and another rep told me that it was in a warehouse waiting to be delivered. SO NOW I HAVE PAID FOR A CHAIR WORTH $350 TWO MONTHS AGO, THAT I NEVER RECEIVED, NOR HAVE ANY FAITH IN RECEIVING.
TOYS R US SHOULD BE UTTERLY ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES. Do you want me to nurse on the floor??? I can’t believe this company has not gone bankrupt in Canada. It’s sad that my child will NEVER get to experience going into this store and seeing the magic that it once was. On principle from having my time wasted, money STOLEN, and hours of my life I can’t get back, I will never buy anything there again.

They post sales on legos and other goods, stating its only valid for prices ending in a certain number. The price on the shelf is not the correct number so when you go and purchase these items thinking you are getting a sale it is incorrect as they have changed the price to end in .97 and do not let you know that. Many people dont realize this and end up spending alot more then they intended too. This is just as bad as stealing. Shame on you toys r us. Its a no wonder why you had to shut down all American stores. Public be aware, do not support this, do not buy from them. Buy online and let them shut there doors. These crooks do not deserve our hard earned money. The director at the St. James store in Winnipeg said it was ok to write this review.

I have been trying to get my hands on glo glam nail stamper for my daughter for Christmas, I traveled all the way to durban from Richards bay only to find durban was sold out no where I could get one. Only some stores in Johannesburg had them but had to buy it online only to find out there was no stock so could not get it online, hmm I decided to call each branch and hit jackpot at the woodmead branch. I have the pleasure of dealing with Jef Madiba who helped me so much he went in search for the item and even kept it for me so that a courier could come pay and pick up for me, he never sounded annoyed or irritated with me panicking about how to get it to richards bay, he was so sweet caring and helpful, you just dont see that kind of help these days, I promise you. Jeff you are a superstar keep up the excellent service you will soar cause you have that wonderful mannerism about you. Thank once again 🤗🤗🤗

Awful online shopping experience
Awful online shopping experience. Ordered November 29 got 2 of my 3 items later than expected and it’s now December 18 and I haven’t received my third, tried emailing customer service and waited on hold more than once for 75 minutes with no answer. I can’t even get ahold of anyone to get my money back on a product I was promised to have the first week of December.

I placed an order on line for instore pick up but when my congormation came it said it was shipping to me. I tried to cancel but no go. I called customer service and stayed on hold for 90 min . Came down to where I was only 5 min in the q and my call was cut off. Called back and it said they were now closed. Tried again first thing the next morning and the recording said they were not excepting calls. By far the worst customer service I've felt with. No wonder they are going broke.

Lost my package couldn’t track then gave me a refund so I could buy in store. Needed to purchase online because I’m a single stay at home parent and I didn’t want to pay a babysitter to buy this toy. Absolutely awful service. I spent a total of 5 hours on the phone to not get a good resolution. Stick to amazon more reliable
Good luck saving a few bucks
I got most of the things I ordered at amazing prices so I can’t hate too much. I successfully placed an order for 9 items. Next day I got an email stating one item could not be shipped. Of the remaining 8 items, I received tracking details for 5 items, 2 arrived unexpectedly. 18 days after placing my order I received another email saying the final item was out of stock; this final e-mail stating my order was complete included a coupon for 40% off my next purchase (major exclusions).
My credit card transactions were all over the place and I saw pending charges for the full amount multiple times. The whole process was confusing and I had to create my own tracking sheet for the 6 packages they sent me with 7 items in order to reconcile the billing.
If you have patience and don’t mind a complete lack of insight in to the status of your order, then I wish you luck with your order :) I never attempted to call customer service based on the reviews I saw; so I was annoyed but I saved a few bucks.

I recommend that you do not order online. I placed an order on November 26th and only received one of the 2 items. They charged my credit card twice. I called on December 3rd (on hold for 45 minutes) and was told I would receive a credit on my card 3-5 days and I never received it. I called back on December 11th (on hold for another 45 minutes) and a supervisor said she would expedite the credit and now it is another week later and I still do not have my credit. I am ready to call my credit card and claim fraud because that is what is!

I ordered two of the same item on Black Friday and a week later they said their warehouse was out of them. I checked the next day and they had 25 in stock. So I had to get them "re shipped" three weeks before Christmas and then I would have to call back to get a refund for the Black Friday deal ($50 per unit) Then they only sent me one item instead of two and its a week before Christmas. So it won't arrive in time now . Oh and this is after waiting on the customer service line for over 2 hours... 3 times. Do yourself a favour and buy on Amazon. Looks like this business is going under anyway. At least I can get through to amazon's customer service when they screw up in under 5 minutes.

Ordered a car seat online. It states 3-5 days for shipping. It’s now been 10 and the order just says processing. I have no clue when or if it is coming. I tried to call and get info, the call automatically says “user busy”. Never had that from a big business. Very disappointed and really hoping the order comes. As I got really good pricing.

on line ordering is a complete waste of time. Everything says processing even orders I have received. Waiting since Oct 14th for 3 items only one of which was delivered after 4 weeks. Got the other two in store but am unable to cancel the online ones which are more expensive. Can't even figure out what I have paid for as nothing seems to match.
