Travelex for holiday cash is the go
I get my cash from Travelex every time I go overseas. The rates are generally better than the airport. The staff in-store are really friendly and helpful. I also have used their services to exchange unused foreign currency. I did use the Travelex card once. It was difficult to understand and use, so recommend finding other ways to pay, and bringing some cash.

Kyle and Kim at Tuggerah were amazing
Kyle and Kim at Tuggerah were amazing. They helped us sort out our problem in a very professional and calm manner. Kyle, in particular, was very attentive to our situation and used infinite patience in dealing with a tricky situation. Also, the girl at Erina was amazing too, she actually called ahead to Tuggerah to let them know of our situation and that we would be in the following day.

The conversion rate was competitive
The conversion rate was competitive. I had no experience with several payment options so a credit card fee applied. Ease of applying payment options would suit me next time. Collection at the Post Office was easy but be organised for several days from order to collection.

The staff at Airport was lack of…
The staff at the airport counter appeared to lack sufficient experience in completing the final cash collection process. I spent over 20–25 minutes completing the transaction, excluding the time I spent waiting in the queue to be served.
I would recommend that Travelex improve the service at its airport counters by ensuring that sufficiently experienced staff are available to assist customers efficiently. At an airport, customers need to allow enough time for customs, security checks, and boarding, so unnecessary delays at the currency exchange counter can cause significant inconvenience and stress.
Spending more than 20–25 minutes just to complete the cash collection process is not acceptable, particularly at an airport. I have used other Travelex counters in the past and have never experienced this level of delay.
I hope Travelex will take this feedback seriously and improve the efficiency and staffing of its airport counter services.
