Lovely products with a purpose. Great watch from recycled plastic waste, from the sea. Conversation starter whenever worn. Will be ordering again.

Watches have, for a long time, been associated with status and tradition. At TRIWA, an acronym for Transforming the Industry of Watches and accessories, we want to use the symbolic value and placement of the watch for something more relevant and create modern statement symbols instead of traditional status symbols. By designing watches with stories that transcend style, trends and status we hope to highlight important issues of our time. We are aware that we are not saving the world by making watches, but we like to think of ourselves as norm challengers and innovators in an industry that needs transforming. It’s time for change. We work with innovative materials, organizations and ambassadors that care about making the world a little better. We call this Time for Change. Designed in our creative studio in Stockholm, our collection of watches is designed to last, start conversations and tell stories. Welcome to the world of TRIWA.

Avoid at any cost

Poor product,I bought the Watch Sea Sheperd: broken after only one month.
It s not ecologic if you have to buy a new watch every month.

Brilliant watch and amazing customer service...

My husband got a Triwa watch about 5 years ago for our wedding, he absolutely loves it. Everyone always comments on it when he wears it too! Not long ago we had an issue with face movement, I feel like this was due to unfortunate change of battery (that was first battery change in 5 years- really impressive!). I have contacted TRIWA and I could not be me more grateful for help I have received from Josefin. Brexit has not made it easy but Josefin was always doing her absolutely best to help with super quick responses to my emails. There was a small fee to pay as it passed it's two years guarantee but I can't really fault this watch. Also worth of mentioning that we have only replaced strap few months ago after 5 years! Great watch, amazing customer service. Can't recommend highly enough! Thank you Triwa Team!! If I could I would easly give 10 stars!

Very bad experience

Very bad experience! I have bought several items from them including watches and sunglasses and both times very poor quality. Armband in the watch got ripped after few uses and sunglasses frame got loose after 2 month use! It just fell everytime I bended slightly!
Contacted customer service to get refund but they said they can't get back some used sunglasses! What is the point of having warranty if they don't take back!
Strongly recommend not buying from this brand!

Great watches, not so great customer service

Both me and my partner have a Triwa watch and for the most part, we have been happy with the ordering process, overall eco-concious packaging and quality of the watches we've received (for a fashion watch).

However my partners watch is less than a year old and suddenly stopped working. We went through the Triwa website to process a repair, we got no reply after an entire week. Decided to send them an email directly, which took almost another week for a reponse and since replying to them, I am still waiting for further information.

Based on all the other reviews, it looks to me that Triwa have a quality control issue on there products and certaintly have a quality of customer service issue to. I don't think I'll be buying any more Triwa products anytime soon.

Watch for the Duty Charges...

When researching for a new watch I came across this company and was impressed by their environmental ethos so went ahead and bought a Sea Shepherd purportedly made from plastic reclaimed from the Ocean. The watch seems to work fine but I've not had it long enough to be certain. My last watch, an inexpensive plastic Timex Expedition, lasted above 20 years before it started becoming unreliable so if this does the same then great. If it breaks after a short period then it'll defeat the intended environmental gain objective by becoming an expensive plastic disposable item. Discouragingly, the luminescence of the watch face is so dim it's impossible to see, unlike their website illustration, so this doesn't bode well.

My main gripe was the Import Duty I was charged since the retail price was £139, just £4 above the UK's £135 threshold, so UPS charged a whopping and unexpected £40.79 and this on top of the VAT already paid according to the invoice. Triwa ought to make this more clear on their website purchase pages. The charge is not their fault, it's the legacy of the stupidity of Brexit, but they really ought to give greater indication of what the total cost will be and make the warning much more prominent on their pages so that buyers are fairly warned.

Bad experience

I bought the Triwa Nevil watch as a gift for my (adult) son. Two months later the leather strap came undone. Fast forward one year and the battery is flat. After handing the watch in at a watchmaker, they could not make it go again. It still looks great, but it’s officially dead.
I have to buy another watch for my son now. I don’t think this is ok.

Good looking but poor quality

Good looking but poor quality. I bought a Sub Ocean Plastic after the second visit at the swimming pool a fog formed inside then condensed and small drops of water formed.
Anyway the worst thing is the customer service, after many attempts of contact I am still waiting for refunds or watch replacement.

Very confusing purchase procedure

After reading some online watch reviews I thought Id give Triwa a try. Found a nice watch that was reduced so ordered it online. Then got confused by the price quoted against price I paid before realising they removed VAT. The invoice said including VAT so wasn't sure what was going on. Free shipping is only free if you drive to the nearest pickup point, so paid £10. Then UPS delivery said I owed another £40 on top, not the £24 that was the VAT. All very confusing so Im not going to use them again. Oh and Customer Services, when asked to explain, just came back essentially saying I was being stupid.

Good watches for the price

I am really happy with my two watches from Triwa (Aska and Elva). The first I bought in 2019, since then it was one battery change and one change of the straps. Second I got a few weeks ago and it seems running smoothly as well.

The only thing that bothers me a bit is that it feels they are reducing the quality in the package and additions. What I mean is that the Triwa box I got in 2019 was much better quality and shape than the one I got this year, plus the fact that in 2019 I got a special tool to change straps which is missing now. Other than that no complaints at all.

I also bought 2 more watches as presents to family members and haven't heard anything bad about them.

Nordic Falken. Terrible watch, but got refund without having to return it.

I'd give one star, but they refunded me and I didn't have to send the watch back to Sweden, so I'll give the extra star.

The same thing happened to me as another person on here. The battery ran out (after two weeks), so I took it to a jeweller to get it changed. The hands fell off immediately. It also turned out that the battery wasn't even dead. The jeweller tested the original battery and said it was fully charged. So the watches are just junk basically.

I read in a interview with the owner it was all about style over substance, but there was no style either. It was about £80 in the sale, reduced from something like £140. Seriously? It looked like something you'd see in a Southend seafront arcade, sitting amongst the cuddly toys on the claw crane machine. Really tacky bling. So gross. Sorry Triwa, that silver Nordic Falken is a really unpleasant watch. It's a £30 watch at best.

Bought a Falken two years ago

Bought a Falken two years ago, battery ran out yesterday, took it to a battery replacement Centre.
The back plate was removed and the minute hand and the second hand both fell off??
Triwa don’t want to know unless I pay for repair.
Total waste of money, I’ll stick with my Citizen Eco drive ten times better and half the price.
Don’t touch one is my advice.

Triwa Falken (green one)

Bought my Triwa Falken (green background) a year ago, working great, not a single complain and lots of compliments because it is so unique. Had some great -50% deal here in Croatia online, so had to give it a try (as a gift to myself after MA.) aLL in all, also thinking about some other of their products!

Really disappointed by the unhappy…

Really disappointed by the unhappy comments from customer
I myself am a happy owner of 4 Triwa watches and love them
Every time I wear one someone always comments as they are so unusual

As for replacing the batteries myself wouldn’t even contemplate doing that as the watches are waterproof up to 50m I think and wouldn’t want to risk damaging that
Timpsons replace at a charge of between£)18-20 worth I think

Weird shipping rules

For some weird reason. They do not ship to some EU countries that are close by. Double check if they can deliver to your location. This still baffles me. The customer support were quite bad as well.

Poor quality revealed

I’ve had a Triwa Klinga about 3.5 years. Loved it until the battery went out. I’ve replaced a lot of batteries over the years. Tried to and the back plate is 2/3 of the back and thin metal. Customer service said to take to a jeweler because the workings have to be held in place to replace the battery. Poor approach and not a sign of a quality watch. I don’t think I’ll buy another.

3 out of 3 cases with clockworks stopping to work temporarily

I bought 3 TRIWA watches withing about 2 years and had problems with all 3. All of them stopped working for a while every now and then. When seeing the time is wrong the watches mostly worked again, sometimes they stopped and changing the time manually made them work again. With one the strap ripped after around 2 months, which is not covered by the warranty. I tried to replace the battery myself (again, not covered by warranty) to see if that helps, opened the lid, had to unscrew a cover because the battery was held in place (with every other watch I know you just take the lid off and the battery is accesable) and a few gears jumped out. Now its worthless, repairing is probaly not worth it either.
The remaining gears have to be pressed down tightly otherwise they dont rotate. So presumably its not the battery but bad clockworks that wear off fast. I never wore them doing sports or anything that would move or bump them...

Great watch, great costumer service

Bought the watch for my husband as a present. Its been over 9 months, watch looks good, has minimalist style and my husband really like them. After 3 months when my husband took them for surfing (waterproof to 100m) is got some moisture inside the watch. We were traveling at that time so i contacted them, send pics how the moisture looks like and informed them im overseas for longer period of time. They found me service on the other side of the world (Melbourne, Australia) where they can have a look on it (it was still in warranty). They fixed the problem and I picked the watch when traveling around Melbourne. Great and quick solving problem with costumer service. Really appreciate it. So can highly recommend watch and the company as well.

TRIWA Falken Men’s Minimalist Dress Watch – Luxury Wrist Watches for Men, 38mm

The TRIWA Falken watch has a sleek, minimalist style. Even the packaging reflects this.

I bought this for my Scandinavian husband, who is very picky about watches, and he loved it, The leather strap feels substantial, and is made of organically tanned Swedish leather. The company also sells dozens of replacement straps in different widths, if you like to change up your style. The watch included the necessary tool in the box to change out the strap, too.

If you're looking for the typical, huge, clunky men's watch, this is not it. This one One caveat: the strap isn't super long, so if you have a huge wrist, this might not work for you.
