The car I bought was pristine for its…

The car I bought was pristine for its age and the company was able to sort everything for the sale with very short notice.

It did require aftercare, some slight rusting on the side door I had missed on initial inspection and it turned out the speaker seals in the door had been removed at some point and so rain water was flooding the rear.

I think possibly/ probably it was my mistake in terms of purchasing the warranty that I had not understood I need an ‘extended’ warranty to be able to fix things through a local garage, nor had I realised there is a £350 excess involved; I was in a rush to purchase.

Nevertheless, the company agreed to pay for the works through a local garage, which I am really grateful for.

Great Sale, Terrible Follow-Up – Still Waiting for Promised Repair

Just a warning for anyone thinking of buying from 12 London Road. After buying my car, I discovered a paint issue from a mobile repair they’d carried out before buying - the paint doesn’t match, and even the dealership admitted it needs redoing.

That was months ago — since then they’ve completely stopped responding to my emails and calls. No updates, no follow-up, nothing.

It’s so frustrating because they were happy to take my money, but when it came to putting something right, they’ve just vanished. I’d strongly recommend being cautious and checking how they handle problems after the sale — because in my experience, that’s where things fell apart.

Caveat Emptor People

Caveat Emptor People
If you are considering purchasing a car from this ‘outfit’ then I suggest you read this and think again.
I purchased a Mercedes Coupe costing 22k in April this year and almost immediately received a dashboard warning that the battery was failing, in addition the start stop mechanism did not function. After consulting the AA I was advised the likely cause was a failing battery.
Upon contacting Sales Management it was agreed the battery needed changing and to take it to an independent Garage (not main dealer) for a battery to be fitted, this I did and now Sales will now not meet the full bill of battery and installation. Even though I spent in excess of 22k I must now make up the shortfall. Shoddy support and poor management, avoid.

bought a car in 2020 and the car was…

bought a car in 2020 and the car was sold with a fault and i also paid extra to extend the warranty as i was told it covers everything.i repaired the car myself due to lack of intrest from them and when i did make a claim as one of my rear airbags started losing air(suspension) i was told its not covered as its a ware and tare item.thats not what i was told when i paid them an extra £600 for the warranty.looks like a proffesional place but seems to me they are more intrested in making a sale rather than making a happy customer.

AVOID WARRANTY

Absolutely love my car i purchased in Aug 24 from 12 London Road. The staff who deal with sales are professional and an overall great experience purchasing.
My one star review is for the aftercare team. I purchased the 12 assured policy at £99/m. I had a couple of small issues with my car a couple of months after purchase and the warranty team were an absolute nightmare to get a hold of. To start with i had phoned, they answered. I explained a light had come on the dash to which they said to take it to a garage local to me for them to look and send them the quote for approval. My garage found the issue but the garage had called numerous times and couldn't get a hold of them after them not replying to the quote to approve. My garage phoned me and explained they couldn't get hold of the warranty so i tried. Emails, Texts, Calls and when i finally got a hold of them they tried to tell me the garage hadn't contacted them and hadn't sent the quote. I asked my garage and they showed me the email they had sent a couple of weeks prior. The quote was finally approved car got fixed.
I have had another issue recently and emailed but only received one reply before they ceased communication again. I emailed asking if they received my previous email to which no response was met. I then filled in the online form to ask them to cancel my warranty. Also no reply. I managed to get hold of them on the phone today to cancel.
When explaining on the phone i had been trying to get hold of them and i wasn't happy with how difficult this had been, instead of a sorry i was met with excuses and David Marsden had tried to tell me they had no missed calls or emails from me. Shocking service.
As mentioned above i love my car and the sales team but do not sign up to the warranty!!!!

No hassle sale, pleasure to work with!

I bought a Tesla Model X from 12 London Road and I have to say it has been a pleasure to work with Gordon and Rob. Rob was welcoming and warm when I first visited the dealership and was happy to show me round the car. He was not pushy or arrogant but quite the opposite! I work in the industry and being a woman we are normally patronised by car sales people but Rob was so relaxed and friendly which made me feel comfortable. We agreed the sale and some mechanical bits that needed doing again no hassle here! When we collected the car there was a little snag but Gordon jumped in and was again very supportive and made sure we had a plan in place. Since having the car there have been a couple of teething niggles (all very normal snags with a Tesla and nothing on 12 London Road) but Gordon and Rob have still continued to be incredibly supportive and helped me with some warranty bits that all came with my purchase. A huge thank you to you both, you have been a pleasure to work with and I’m thankful to have met you both and dealt with you on this sale.

The best service ever!

We travelled from Cardiff to buy our car. The initial welcome was friendly, the place is wonderful, the staff helpful and actually went "above and beyond" to sort out a problem that was of our making.
The car selection is varied, the vehicles excellent and trade-in prices sensible and fair.
We highly recommend Twelve London Road.

I recently bought a car from this company and I could not be happier. The service provided to me was second to none. The process of purchasing the car was easy and stress free. The salesman I dealt with was well informed about the vehicle, well mannered and overall just a really nice guy. I highly recommend this company when buying a car.
