Very dissapointing, would not buy from Ubuy again
I had a very disappointing experience with Ubuy.
I purchased a rice cooker that worked perfectly for about a week and a half, then suddenly stopped working entirely — no lights, no heat, no warning signs.
Ubuy refused a refund on two grounds that I find unreasonable:
They required the original product box to process a refund — something that was never stated as a condition at purchase. Like most people, I recycled the packaging once the item arrived.
They later claimed the product was incompatible with Australian power due to frequency (60Hz vs 50Hz), despite this not being clearly disclosed anywhere during checkout. Had this been made clear, I would not have purchased the item.
The product was not fit for use in Australia, and this critical limitation should have been explicitly stated upfront. Customer service was polite but ultimately inflexible and unwilling to take responsibility.
I wouldn’t purchase electrical appliances from Ubuy again.

If this company is legitimate then why…
If this company is legitimate then why has my bank refunded $297 to myself after I reported an unauthorised transaction.
After signing up to their free trial I tried to login to cancel it - email not on system.
I emailed them few days prior - mumbo jumbo language in return, delay to get back to me, ultimately money was taken out and haven’t received a response for refund. (Indians on the other end mind you)
They’re not registered on asic if that helps you make up your mind.
