Ubiquity network kit

I was looking for four Ubiquity network components. Most places had three of the four.

After looking up Ubiquity distributors, I found Umart. They had all four components at the best price in the market.

I placed my order on Sunday evening. The kit arrived on Tuesday morning. And the icing on the cake, it’s all the kit I ordered.

I’m so happy, I’ve taken the time to write a review.

keychron v3k2 has horrible connectivity…

keychron v3k2 has horrible connectivity issues and this store wants to take 2 weeks to inspect this keyboard. the soluiton provided by their customer service is direspectful of customers time. the keyboard is something i need for work and taking 2 weeks to just inspect something like this and saying it might take longer to process any action. This is something I have never experienced. Better to buy from JB hifi or other stores that actually have physical stores and not people incharge online or outsournced (not sure) for returns. There are much responsible and better stores o8ut there which might charge a little extra but their processes are not to convoluted for inspecting and providing an outcome. K3V2 KEYCHRON and Umart dont go well together

Liars with terrible service

Umart, possibly the worst tech company I have had to deal with for warranty returns, they will blatantly lie to you about the procedure and when you return the item thats clearly defective the dogs will say that the pump failure on a AIO water cooler is ÿour fault

20 years of great service.

I've been purchasing IT hardware from them for nearly 20 years. Only ever had one warranty RTB for a branded PC, which was resolved quickly, along with a dented grill on a soundbar, which they replaced on the spot. Click and collect is great for me as they have a store nearby.

Warranty does not exist

Purchased 2 routers, 1 failed within 1 week of being setup. I returned the item as instructed with a promise of 2-3 weeks for repair or replacement. I made it clear that it is needed for my work and was told they couldn't exchange ut on the day even after they proved it wasn't working instore.
Fast forward 4 weeks and after I followed them up I get told it's still another 3 to 4 weeks before another update, not not repair, but an update.
Refused to refund when the product is clearly faulty and no timeline as to when I can recieve it back. I asked for a supervisor and was toldno. I asked for a refund and was told they won't do that. I asked for a guaranteed time to when I can expect my product back and was told they had no idea. STAY AWAY FROM UMART.
Do not purchase from Umart, they will not honour consumer rights to a reasonable amount of time for repair, replace or refund. 8 weeks is a ridiculous amount of time to wait for something that stopped working almost immediately.

I’m wishing i hadn’t bought a Transcend body pro 40 camera…

I bought a Transcend body pro 40 camera because I needed it, it turns up not working properly the volume on the video playback is terrible can hardly hear it 👎, and when you try to find out what is going on with the repairs/replacement I got told by the girl on the phone I cannot communicate with the department that tests/repairs them because they don’t talk on the phone they only respond with emails , so I cannot find out what is happening to my item. ????

Utterly woeful warranty policy

Utterly woeful warranty policy if something goes wrong.
I am posting this review in the hope I might actually get a meaningful response…. For the poor Umart employees whose job it is to trawl this site hosing down fires my RA number is 273022.

Purchased a brand new motherboard, CPU and RAM in July 2024, and within a few months the system started becoming unstable before completely refusing to boot up in March 2025. I narrowed the problem down to one of those three items but couldn't troubleshoot further.

29 March - Took it all in for a diagnosis and possible exchange or refund, and was told they would look into it and it might need to be returned to the manufacturer. I asked for an exchange and was told it had to be assessed first.

1 April - Received an email approving the warranty claim and that motherboard was to be sent to the manufacturer for assessment / repair

(3 weeks - No communication)

22 April - I email asking for an update - No response.

24 April - I called them asking for an update - I was told it is with the manufacturer being assessed and they will follow up to get an update from them. I asked about a possible refund or exchange instead of a repair and was told that is not possible. I raised the issue of Australian consumer law, where I believe this would be classed as a major fault and therefore should be entitled to an exchange or refund but was told I was incorrect. I asked to speak to a manager and was told they weren’t available but was promised one would call me within the next hour.

No call.

End of the day I received an email repeating that it is with the manufacturer and that I am not entitled to a refund or exchange.

29 April - I received a system email saying the motherboard has been dispatched to the manufacturer, for assessment and repair, 31 days after it was returned to the store.

3 May - I sent another email asking for clarification on when the motherboard was shipped to the manufacturer and contact details or repair number so I could get an update directly from them.

4 May - I received a response saying someone is looking into it and they will get back to me. No further response.

10 May - as of writing, still no response.

Having read through a number of reviews - there seems to be a striking similarity from anyone who has had the misfortune to return a product under warranty.

I'm no lawyer, but If something entirely stops working within the first year, I'm pretty sure that would be classed as a major fault. That places the responsibility on the retailer - i.e. umart to offer a replacement or a refund. Not to fob us off onto the manufacturer and say it's out of their hands. To anyone who has read this far thank you, I am lodging a complaint with NSW fair trading and would encourage anyone with a similar experience to do the same.

Great service and prices

I went to these guys after a debacle with centre com (or centre con as I prefer to call them) where I was treated like a piece of rubbish on the bottom of their shoe. Stark contrast. I got what I needed, without a fuss and they made sure the laptop i got met my most critical criteria...works with a Dell dock. I went to the store and put my purchase through there rather than online. Waited maybe 10 minutes after purchase for my laptop and finally had what I needed for work and gaming. No BS, good customer service, knowledgeable and friendly. Centre con could learn a few things from these guys. If you're in Adelaide, these guys will definitely treat you better than the pretentious arrogant fools at centre con.

Lessons learnt from my experience

I’ve noticed a number of reviews here that reflect similar experiences to my own. To avoid any risk of defamation, I’m simply sharing what I’ve learned through personal experience and public consumer law resources — not to target or mischaracterise any business unfairly, but to contribute to public interest discussions. For that reason, I’ve used conditional and hypothetical language, particularly when referencing potential ACL violations.
If you’re experiencing issues with a product or a dispute, it’s worth knowing that the ACCC and state/territory regulators (Trading Affairs/ ACL) can investigate breaches of consumer law but cannot force a refund — only a civil tribunal like ACAT has that authority. However, reporting matters to these regulators is still important, as repeated complaints may lead to formal investigations.
Importantly, a product doesn’t need to be obviously faulty for breaches of the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) to occur. Issues like delays, lack of transparency, or misrepresentation during a warranty claim can also be problematic. Pursuing compensation is one avenue, but ensuring compliance with the law is just as important.
I strongly recommend keeping all communication in writing (email or text) with any business — including parent/ related companies. You have the right to choose how you communicate, and refusing to engage unless you speak by phone — or ignoring written communication — could be considered unfair or unconscionable conduct under Section 21 of the ACL.
Additionally, if a business dismisses valid concerns as merely a “change of mind” or “personal expectations” — particularly when the product is not performing as expected — this may be considered misleading conduct under Sections 18 and 29 of the ACL. Offering only optimisation or troubleshooting in response to a clearly underperforming product may also risk breaching Sections 54 and 259, which relate to acceptable quality and the right to remedies for failure.
Other relevant ACL protections that may apply in these cases include:
• Section 21 – Unconscionable conduct
• Section 54 – Guarantee of acceptable quality
• Section 259 – Right to a remedy
• Section 267 – Right to compensation for consequential loss
I’ve chosen to report my situation to consumer law regulators, not necessarily to seek a refund (since learning compensation is not only way to hold accountability), but to help highlight trends that may be affecting others. Some businesses appear to rely on the idea that consumers won’t escalate issues or aren’t fully aware of their rights — which is why it’s so important to speak up and share knowledge.
Apologies if this post comes across as vague — that’s intentional to avoid legal ambiguity or misinterpretation. My intention is simply to help other consumers who may be navigating similar concerns. I would like also to remind, I’m no lawyer but if needing one, Consumer Law Care, a free walk-in clinic that provides lawyers that specialise in consumer law violations

Very poor customer service

Very poor customer service. I even emailed the company with my concerns and was given very silly excuses. Still awaiting a response from management (3weeks later) I'm glad I don't need anything else for my pc at the moment as using this company gives me extreme anxiety.
Don't listen to staff recommended products as I did and then was unable to return the product even thought the sale person advised me the product was good for my machine. I would rather deal with (Temu,Amazon or even telstra at this point as these guys are horrid) - Do yourselves a favour and order from PC Case gear or some other company if you wish to have a pleasant experience build a pc.

Worst time trying to get…

Worst time trying to get repairs/warranty

Got new GPU and CPU in November, computer had issues come January. Sent it in for warranty for the GPU and explained that I think there might be some corrosion. Week passes and no communication so I need to call, says techs explained that the CPU was damaged and faulty RAM. I do not know how the CPU was missing pins but bite the cost and buy new CPU and ram. Asked about the GPU as it was the thing I was concerned about with the corrosion, techs has nothing to say. Another week passes and no word on when my comp will be sent back, another call gets it sorted. Receive it back another week after.

All seems fine and the same issues occur, this time I go into the store as I'm not waiting 3 weeks. A tech takes a look and after a small while of testing he says my motherboard is the issue, so I buy a new one and still doesn't work. Then low and behold the problem was the GPU all along. Said would need to send it away to warranty team and could take weeks. Another tech comes over as they examine the GPU and spotted the corrosion which I said several months ago I told them about and was the original reason for all of this. They say it may not be in warranty because of damage suspected that I was the one that caused it etc. My computer sits housed in a caddy under my desk, nothing could get to it. Fed up I just took the GPU home as I needed my PC, cleaned corrosion with isopropyl and hasn't had an issue since.

I don't know what happened to Umart but their techs and customer service have became the worst. What is the point of warranty if they do everything in their power to put the blame on the consumer? Their techs should read the warranty comments and test every piece of the PC.

BUYER BEWARE

BUYER BEWARE! Now the worst computer store in Brisbane. They will not refund or replace faulty items, instead you will be stuck waiting months for them to send off to the manufacturer so they can push responsibility to anywhere else. Check other reviews as many, many people have been stung by these crooks.

Poor communication from customer support

Poor communication from customer service, issue was not addressed. No response after initial reply where a very generic answer was given that did not address the support query at all. Will buy products from other retailers as for just $3-5 extra, I can rest assured knowing that I will have the support required when issues arise.

Pathetic Communications and action

PC returned multiple times for power fault over 12 months. Finally in early Jan 2025 service csntre finally agreed that M/B was faulty & returned to manufacturer. Since then no to little info on repair and whilst help desk was sympathetic, they don’t seem to get any further with answers. Impossible to contact service centre or Management. So much for Repair, Replace or Refund policy.
