Total Utilities
On Friday morning I got a call from someone called Total Utilities saying I was in trouble with their company and they were reclaiming monies owing to them. Straight away they asked for my debit cards number to pay an outstanding amount. It ended in a slanting match. I was evil with him. Told him where to go and put the phone down. I ignored all further calls. Then this afternoon they rang me again. Very convincing. I ask him to explain what it was for, he told me I took out a policy in 2018 to cover all electronics. I told him, I did not as I have full household cover for everything with my insurance company. He said I owed them £288, if I paid him today, he would knock something off for me. I asked him the date of the payment I was supposed to have made and he said 17 September 2018. I said I needed his direct line number and full name and address of the company as I was going to check with my bank. He said if I did not pay it, there will be a county court judgement out on me. I said I will report it to the bank. With that he put the phone down. I have since spoken with Trading Standards and Action Fraud, gave a full account of everything that was said. I also gave them the phone number used. I printed out a statement of mine for SEPT 2018, obviously no payment showing on there. I'm an elderly person who still has some of her wits about her and I worked in insurance for 20 years or so. I am sorry it has happened to other people but also slightly relieved to find it wasn't just me.
I am sure that this is the same company…
I am sure that this is the same company that called me twice this week. They called themselves Total Utilities and claim that I took out a policy with them in 2018 to cover appliances. When I told them that I do not have a policy with them they claim to have my details including bank details. They then said that I was suffering from memory loss. Today they said it was a curtesy call but quickly became discourteous when I again told them I do not insure with them. They say they are sending me a bill for £240. This is a total scam.
IMy Nasty phone call
I. Had a phone call from them this morning he said thatI had paid them £130 in 2018 and that I had taken out a 5 year contract with them.I denied it and then he started shouting that I must have lost the papers I said I had never had anything in writing so I put the phone down He phoned again shouting at me that I was a silly woman,I rang off the phone did ring again but I ignored it.I have reported them.
If I could they wouldonly get 0 marks absolutely disgraceful, ask to confirm my bank details said no I am not with you if I did not pay there would be trouble told them to f... off and hung up.
If I could they would

Companies house is awaiting these scammers to file the accounts this could be interesting reading as the last 3 companies this woman ran disappeared without a trace without filing any books ! (please see review from sparkey below) for such a massive company (apparently with offices in poole , barnsley and brighton) surely there would be a VAT reference as they claimed to have a huge client base ? but no i know this was and probably still is (in another name) a scam ! DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE ! NEVER TRUST A PHONE CALL CLAIMING YOU OWE MONEY FOR A SERVICE YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT !
total scammers
total scammers, ive reported them to fraud action team, i would suggest you all do the same

Scam artists
They bullied me into paying £95 on 3 separate occasions, I simply cannot afford this. Im on a very low income suffering from mental health problems and they have taken advantage of me.
Thieving swines.
Just took £198 from my bank account, didn't agree to their policy, don't know how they got my account number, I'm a pensioner and can't afford to lose money like that, going to contact my bank and if not returned will go to police.
Unfortunately a scam company
Unfortunately a scam company, cold called my vulnerable mum, she panicked and hung up, they called back and shouted at her until she paid them for ‘utilities insurance’. Have informed the police and fraud team at the bank, so hopefully they won’t be able to continue much longer. Would encourage any other victims to do the same.

Scamming the Elderly and Vulnerable…
This company is still out there trying to scam the elderly with threatening phone calls about fictitious utility cover and trying to charge £120 for cancellation of said imaginary cover. They are now using a variant business name "CoverUtility Team" registered at 130 Old Street , London EC1V 9BD-Director Tomus Patrick Arif.

I have just received a phone call from these people basically demanding I paid them £90 to renew cover I never even had.threatoned me with debt collectors if I didn't pay.phoned my bank they confirmed I never have paid any money to these people.i emailed total utility cover to tell them what was going on.i then received a phone call from apparently the manager saying the person had been sacked had to put a stop on my bank cards as they knew details.reading the reviews seems it's an on going thing with this so called firm.they really need to be stopped and their site should be taking down and criminal proceedings should be taken.
Scammed my elderly father in law into…
Scammed my elderly father in law into purchasing cover for a sofa he doesn't even own. The bank stopped the payment but then it took us so much time to sort out a new card for him. Disgraceful company- with all these complaints how are they allowed to operate? My father in law is registered with the TPS so they should not be cold calling him anyway.
Scumbags
Scumbags, scamming elderly people out of money. Just done this to my 90 year old father. Absolute disgrace, where is the protection for the elderly.
These companies have no shame.
Scamming scum
This company have scammed my dad out of money. It’s a cover he didn’t agree to or want. He is elderly. I can’t get them on the phone and when you ask for a reply back via their website they don’t. Complete scum of the earth. Should be ashamed of yourselves.
Wouldn’t give these crooks one star
Wouldn’t give these crooks one star, they have just ripped my mother off for £195 for cover she didn’t wan’t. You cannot get a hold of them at all on the phone or a website they just take money and run!!
They are preying on old people and need to go to prison.
Scam Artists?
I have been plague several times by this company and despite requested call back I appear to have been badly misled and then ignored. I want to speak to the person I received the original call from a Samuel Johns and I believe I am not getting a call back is because they are a scam preying on the elderly.
These people need locking up.

It's a disgrace needs looking in to !
SCAM
A woman called Lisa has called my parents both last week and this week. I spoke to her myself last week and she has told me a totally different story to my elderly father! Then this week she has called back acting as though she hasn’t had any contact at all previously! She is saying they paid for policy three years ago which they haven’t claimed on so now they are giving them 40% off the the next three years. My dad has said he doesn’t want to renew and she said he has to and that he owes them money. They have threatened a court summons so he asked for paperwork last week which hasn’t appeared. She also told me my fathers password which I recognised as one he uses which makes me think they are hackers as a company would not divulge a password over the phone to a family member just to prove they were legitimate?! My father also had his bank check all his transactions and there hasn’t ever been a previous payment to this company. My mother is feeling very harassed and threatened by them.
DANGER!
At best missold appliance cover - at worst telephone scam. My elderly mother paid £180 for eight appliance cover - she doesn’t have eight appliances. When I called to complain, phone call - multiple times - went to ‘voicemail for Phone 15’. AVOID!
