Very frustrating and disappointing…
Very frustrating and disappointing experience. I paid for an order using my Wise debit card and went through the standard 2FA verification. The order was confirmed and payment processed but I subsequently received emails saying an automatic sercurity alert was triggered and they refunded the order. They then requested repayment - ironically via Wise - but I was not able to do this in time for my brother's birthday (the occasion for which I purchased the gift). I asked their customer service if they would fulfil the order anyway pending clearance of the payment on Monday and that was refused. Completely dysfunctional system and unhelpful customer service.

I was looking for something to send my daughter for her birthday. It was time sensitive. I came across Vancouverbaskets and it was perfect. A small cake and it could be delivered the same day. Everything was great and she called to tell me how surprised she was and how much she appreciated it.

Poorly inflated helium balloon
I’ve purchased several baskets from them in the past and have always been quite satisfied with the service. However, for my most recent order, I decided to include a helium balloon, knowing that my clients have children. Unfortunately, the balloon arrived poorly inflated (see attached photo) and was quite a disappointment - it didn’t even float.
I reached out via email requesting either a refund for the balloon or a replacement, as I couldn’t present the basket to my clients with a deflated balloon. In response, I received the following message: "We have received the images provided, upon thorough review of which we have decided that the condition in which the items arrived does not warrant compensation. We understand that the way in which the products were jostled in transit may not have allowed for the most ideal presentation/appearance upon delivery of the order, but based on the images contents of the items themselves were indeed protected by their exterior packaging, which the recipient can still use/consume if they wish to do so. We apologize for the inconvenience. "
This is definitely not the way to treat a loyal, recurring customer who regularly purchases gifts. Moving forward, I’ll be switching to Baskits Inc. It’s not about the $20 balloon—it’s about the overall presentation of the gift and the level of service provided. When dealing with client-facing gifts, attention to detail and exceptional service are absolutely essential.

I ordered a birthday gift basket for my sister. I told them that her buzzer did not work and to call her. She missed the call by a minute but called the driver right back. He said he was a ‘third party’ and he couldn’t come back to deliver it even though only minutes had gone by. I contacted someone at Vancouver Baskets and they said that an attempt was made and that the gift was sent back to a holding place. If I wanted the gift redelivered, I would have to pay. What kind of racket is this? I have used flower delivery companies many times, and they always reattempt to deliver until the person receives the flowers. Never in my life have I come across a complete scam like this. I said I didn’t want it redelivered and wanted a refund. To top it off, they said I could only get a partial refund as they had to withhold some money for restocking etc. I can’t imagine how much money they make off redelivery charges and their ‘restocking’ charge. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!
Xmas breakfast basket delivered rotten fruit
I was notified that my Xmas breakfast basket was out for delivery on 12/23/24, it arrived 1/7/25. As expected, fruit was mushy and moldy. VB requested a photo, which was sent, of the rotting fruit still in the wrapped basket, they later requested a photo of each piece of the fruit, which had been disposed of at that point. Other non-consumable items in basket had to have slimy ooze washed off. A thirty count email thread trying to get status of shipment and then resolution from Juls proved pointless. When I phoned a CSR to ask if a photo of each piece of fruit was really necessary as fruit tends to rot when in transit for three weeks he hung up on me. Do not buy from this company.

My experience is the same as others here. I ordered a gift hamper on 19th December for delivery on 24th December. It has not been delivered as of 3rd January, and despite multiple follow ups, no action from Vancouver Baskets. I have used them previously with no issue, but at the moment they are providing what seems to be an automated email response, and no amount of trying to contact them or the courier company is fruitful. I would not recommend using them.
