Pet Care Advice
Customer Hub
Pet emergencies can happen at any time – including when your regular vet is closed.
That’s why our nationwide network of out-of-hours pet emergency clinics are open through the night, at weekends and on bank holidays, so we’re ready and waiting to provide expert pet emergency care when your regular vet is having some time off.
Our pet emergency clinics are the pet equivalent of A&E and our purpose is to give you and your pet the care and support you deserve, at the time you need it most, whether it’s four in the morning or in the middle of Sunday lunch.
Vets Now provides this trusted service to more than 1000 veterinary practices across the UK — from over 60 dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. In total, we treat around 200,000 small animals every year — our highly-skilled team works hard throughout the night, weekends and Bank Holidays. So whether you’re in Aberdeen, Belfast or Portsmouth we’re there for you and your pet when you need us most.
We’ve also pioneered other ways to help pets, pet owners and the veterinary profession, such as our comprehensive referrals service and providing our staff with industry-leading training and development opportunities. We also support the pet blood transfusion charity, Pet Blood Bank UK. Meanwhile, our two hospitals — in Glasgow and Manchester — are home to some of the UK’s leading specialists in the field of emergency and critical care and provide care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Do not use this Vet ! they only interested in money . No compassion . They forced me to do urgent complicated operation operation for my cat without giving me any other cheaper option including putting her to sleep to avoid huge bill. Way more that we agreed in the beginning.

Way too expensive. £386 to take a temperature, heartbeat and a blood test. No exact diagnosis but then recommended a £52 bottle of activated charcoal in case of poisoning with £18 bottle of rehydration liquid. At a weekend yes but this is just taking advantage of customers unlucky enough to get a sick animal out of hours. Sooner AI gets involved and hacks into the earnings of ALL "professionals" the better! 48 hours later the dog is still recovering from (probably) chewing horse poop with Ivermectin dewormer in it. Spent over an hour there and 50 mins of that was waiting to be seen, waiting for bloods and then waiting for bill so I was gouged about £250 for 10 mins of actual consultation which resulted in "take the charcoal,it may help". Bloodsuckers.

Was sent to Walnut Tree at 7.30 on 1st August. This was on recommendation of Vets4Pets MK as dog needed to go on a drip overnight due to possibility of having digested Hydrangea. On arrival was told cannot admit our dog as no vet on duty and none would come out. Had to therefore take a poorly dog to Barton Le Clay ...Utterly disgusting service...no care of animal welfare.

The staff were very friendly & helpful when I first phoned & when we went in with our dog. The vet was really lovely & we could tell he really cared. He also gave both options the more expensive one & the cheaper one which was great. They really did help. Thank you.

Cannot contact Vets Now post the appointment. None of the emails have worked and even the “contact page” doesn’t work. No telephone number available. Terrible admin.

Laura was informative and professional whilst being a kind listener! She was able reassure us on our dogs next steps moving forward and provide us with advice regarding pain relief for him. We’re so glad that we contacted her vets video service!

Very quick to be seen, called them and we arrived 20 minutes later, only waited around 15 minutes to be seen. Vet was very thorough, explained everything to us and gave my dog the pain relief he needed and some to bring home. Also gave us advice on how to help him along side the pain relief and what the next options will be going forward. Great service. Only issue is the price, £400 for two injections, 3 tablets and a 20 minute appointment!
