The staff was absolutely amazing!

The staff was absolutely amazing!! The attentiveness of the staff was wonderful and the food was incredible! The crafts were so fun and I went home with a bracelet that I made that everyone who as seen it loves. The band had me on the dance floor every night and most of the night. I absolutely loved them! I felt like many of the staff members were my friends by the end of the cruise and I miss them already. Keep up the good work and I hope to cruise with you again soon.

Victory Cruise Lines: A Great Lakes Gem

After more than sixty years of cruising—from an early voyage aboard a cargo ship to sailings on Regency, Oceania, Seabourn, Queen Mary II, and more than twenty other cruise lines—I have become a demanding judge of cruise experiences.

While researching Great Lakes cruises, I repeatedly encountered glowing reviews of Victory Cruise Lines, a company unfamiliar to me at the time. After completing their ten-day Great Lakes voyage, I can say those reviews were entirely justified. Quite simply, it was the finest cruise I have ever experienced.

The cuisine was exceptional—the best food I have enjoyed on any ship. Every meal reflected true gourmet standards in both preparation and presentation.

The service was equally impressive. Every member of the crew was professional, attentive, and genuinely cheerful, creating an atmosphere of warm hospitality throughout the voyage.

The ship was immaculate from bow to stern. Although the staterooms were compact, they were thoughtfully designed with more storage space than is typically found even on larger vessels.

The enrichment lectures were informative and engaging, adding valuable context to the destinations visited along the route. The passenger mix, largely travelers in their seventies and eighties, contributed to a relaxed and congenial onboard atmosphere.

Evenings were highlighted by an excellent four-piece band with a superb vocalist, while The Tavern became a favorite gathering place thanks to its outstanding bar service and welcoming ambiance.

In an era when many cruise lines compete by becoming larger and more elaborate, Victory Cruise Lines succeeds by excelling in the fundamentals: exceptional cuisine, impeccable service, engaging enrichment, and understated elegance.

After countless voyages, I did not expect to discover a new favorite cruise line. Yet that is exactly what I found aboard Victory Cruise Lines. To my dismay, they do not offer more destinations. I am eager to take their Halifax/Jacksonville voyage.

The entire staff was fantastic.

The entire staff was fantastic.
On board experiences basically boring.
Ships itinerary changes were disappointing.
Harley Davidson museum was not for me.
Soo locks museum small nothing much in the town.
Food was very good on ship
having 40 + people on board from a "group" was not helpful but there was no way ahead of time that I could have known that

Well run Cruise line

Well run Cruise line. Food was excellent and the servers were super friendly (to name a few - Rahul, Rahmat). Our room attendant(Agnelo) was great.

I would suggest not stopping at escabana . There wasn't much to do/see there. I'd get rid of the Great Lakes museum in Toledo. Too long of a ride and you didn't need more than an hour there. The house band was excellent. The room( 400 level) was sufficient, but the pump that came on when anyone near us when water was running was very loud.

Overall a great trip.

This was my first time on a victory…

This was my first time on a victory cruise. I was part of the Gate 1, tour group. The ship was well maintained. All staff were capable, friendly and always willing to help. Food was excellent and the waiters got to know us and anticipated our needs. The Lakelorian was a nice touch and provided us with much information about going through the Great Lakes.

A Terrific Experience

Everyone involved on Victory was warm, welcoming, helpful, very professional and always willing to "go the extra mile" to accomodate a request. Some of the employees (but certainly not all) that should be recognized were Edward, Jose, Preston, Alden, Norma, Rechelle, Wayan, Sachan, Uno, and Rahul.

Victory 2 Cruise Chicago to Toronto

This cruise was very enjoyable with nice stops for excursions. The food was excellent with a good variety at each meal. A nice touch was having alcohol included, in addition to wine and beer, during the cruise. The music entertainment was a big positive with a broad variety. The only negative was the size of the cabin, however, we managed. Staff and service was excellent.

Wonderful itinerary around the 5 Great…

Wonderful itinerary around the 5 Great Lakes with excellent cuisine and crew. The included tours were interesting and the onboard entertainers were outstanding. The Lakelorian lectures were disappointing as shown by the diminishing audience however the organized July 4 reading of the Constitution and recognition of the service members onboard was a pleasant surprise and well attended. The cabins have everything needed but are quite snug.

Wish the state room was larger

Wish the state room was larger, my wife and I had a rough time with the shower flooring with the bumps. The staff couldn't have been nicer not a flaw with anyone, service in the food court was fantastic. The Direct TV would drop off for long periods of time.

We really love the smaller ship

We really love the smaller ship. We got to know so many nice people. The itenary was well done. The music was great. Our cabin attendant, Manuel, was fantastic. We enjoyed all talks by Michael. He was up on all tours and games give him a 10plus plus plus. The food was very good Wendy did a great shop at herding catsand makeing sure we were all accounted for. Please do more tours. We are a client forever

The ship was beautiful and very clean

The ship was beautiful and very clean. The crew and workers in all departments were outstanding. The cruise director and excursion manager was horrible. She had little to no knowledge about the excursions. We almost missed the last ferry back to the ship because of her mismanagement. She was baffled when we docked in Thunder Bay and most people couldn’t fly out until the next day because the ship docked at 11 am and flights to the east coast had already gone for the day. Very vey poor customer service pre cruise, during, and at the end.

Staff was excellent

Staff was excellent! Every staff member was well trained, attentive and appeared to be happy. Food was good and available for the most part. Happy to be able to experience a little time in each port although we did feel a bit rushed at some of them, but we understood the need to accommodate everyone who wanted to experience the included excursions. The room was very small but sufficient. Our shower on the 4th floor was extremely tight so I recommend booking a room with a larger bath if that would be a problem for you. We feel it was a good value for the price.
