Video Cottage 

SO far my experience has been great. The team do look after you and they do communicate well enough to ensure they capture all your requirments. They also iterate changes until the quality of what you require is met. I for one, am getting good service, my product isn’t complete so can not comment that but I expect it will be executed effectively and at high quality.

We set out looking for a customer explainer video for our business and came across video cottage amongst many others. We decided to give these guys a go, purely based on price and unlimited edits as this was a voyage of discovery for us.
It helps if you know exactly what you want, which we did. They delivered a really impressive 60-second video for us and were very
accommodating and agile as our video evolved.
We shall definitely use them again and have no hesitation in recommending them for straightforward customer explainer videos.

These guys are awesome! Video Cottage did a WONDERFUL job on my explainer ad video and never made me feel bad about the dozens of edits I was constantly making. Jordan and his team worked hard to make sure I was satisfied and I received updates all the time! They even reached out to touch base when I had got busy. Phenomenal experience, they are my go to for animation needs! For anyone who has doubt about this team and their incredible work.. you will never be disappointed. Trust them, they know what they’re doing and are loyal to their work. Thank you Jordan for everything you have done. I appreciate it and wish your team much more success.

It is difficult finding people who can do a job like this with such skill and at the right price... Video Cottage have been great and given us something that we can show to people all over the world with both confidence and pride... Video Cottage are also prepared to go to great lengths to provide what you want, which again is so important, and nothing is too much trouble for them...

The main issue was that they did not pay attention to the brief - after multiple iterations they still were not able to provide a quality output. On top of this they assured us (they used the work guarantee) they would meet very specific timescales that were critical to us, which were missed - we had to chase them to get a response as the deadline approached.

They had insisted on being paid up front. When we asked for a refund as the deadline was missed and the output was unacceptable they continually argued despite not having delivered anything usable.

They might be able to perform for some simple requirements, but I certainly would not recommend them and would caution using them for anything beyond the most simple requirement.

They asked us, via Trustpilot, to make contact so that the team can look into our concern. We tried that and just encountered argument and evasion. We have not previously in many years of business posted a negative review online; in this case our feelings were so strong we felt it necessary to do so.

We put a previous review on Trustpilot and they have attempted to have it removed by falsely stating they don't know us as a client. They offered us an incentive if we would remove our review; when we refused they stated that our review was false.

They eventually refunded half of the money. However we never received anything of any value from them. They offered to send us the files that had been created to date, but we refused receipt as there was nothing of any use to us. They asked us to change our review as a result of this token gesture refund; this additional paragraph is all I feel that is appropriate to change - all other comments remain valid.

DO NOT pay this company up front - insist on payment on satisfactory completion.

Regarding the comment below on continual changes - there was never a completion point as the changes were always unsatisfactory both from a quality perspective and the fact they did not correctly implement requested changes. Mistakes were constantly made. They kept providing output that was unacceptable and did not deliver anything useable. In the end we had to stop the project and write off the non-refunded fees.

It is the first time we have used VideoCottage and have found them great to work with. Revisions are no problem at all, and although we have been going back and forward with the storyboard, Jordon and the team are happy to accommodate.

First time we have used this service , was a little worried at first however the team are well adverse to working with clients like myself (not sure of what works with video/animation and how it should be done) The different steps are easy and the responses to changes are prompt. The design hub works really well as a comms tool (even on mobile). Invest time in the initial script and the rest should be straight forward.
Would recommend.

WARNING!!
Never pay this company in advanced!! The quality of video and other materials are really bad and they do not provide on time. Even people without any experience can make better videos, website, and logos. They use AI tools to create logo and videos. For less than 50 pounds you can do this also on several websites. Unfortunately, I have paid these guys nearly 2000.

Communication with Video Cottage was excellent and responsive throughout and Jordan handled our account very well. However, I feel the execution of the animation lacked commercial awareness There was little consideration about how the video is to be used and what will make it watchable on different devices with/without sound and there were key elements in the approved script that were missed out altogether in the storyboard. Also the voice over was not as expected - quite different to the example file provided and my requests to change the tone of voice were not addressed. The end result lacks polish and is a bit amateurish in places. I'm not especially happy with it, it will do but it's fallen short of expectations unfortunately. Sorry to say I'd be unlikely to use VC again or to recommend.

Excellent product and service! This was a new experience for me. I am nothing but pleased. Jordan was super responsive and easy to work with. I'm so happy with the result. I expect to use them again the next time I need a video.

A simple and slick service to create our first animated advert.
Always available to listen to updates and they were happy to make changes.
I am interested to see what else we can do in the future.

The video was produced with perfection. The service was amazing in every step of the way. The support was unbelievable. The quality is nice and exciting. Thank You Jordan Watson for dealing so graciously, with patience with me on this project.
