Anything but this
Came to the point, where the unreliable internet affects my worklife, my freetime and my mental health. Tried to alert them, but they cant fix it. The technician visited me like 4 times, and still nothing. Never in my right mind would recommend this. Cant wait till my lease ends. Cant put it in words how terrible this is. Please if you are reading this DO NOT choose this ISP.
Since Vodafone switched to ONE
Since Vodafone switched to ONE, it’s been absolutely terrible. The network keeps disconnecting all the time, making it completely unusable.
Unstable internet, terrible support service
Our internet disconnects for a minute every 10 minutes. We have tried to contact them at least 10 times by this point and they have not shown any interest in fixing the problem so far. They promised to come out and look at it at a specific date but just never showed up.

HORRIBLE SHIT!Our Mafia goverment just buyed this this company and all go is wrong! Sometimes internet is going 10-20 times in a singleday away, and tv too! Its a bullshit.Choose Telekom instead of bullshit
Horrible Mediabox
Guys, it's appalling that a huge company such as yours is unable to provide a properly functioning media box that doesn't permanently lag and glitches most times. The internet connectivity is also very unreliable as it affects the media box constantly. I have the highest possible package with 3 media boxes at home and it's constant issues from day to day. I was patient at the beginning but it seems this company's arrogance is getting the best of them. They are aware that customers have no alternate service providers in the region. Hopefully your executives eventually start giving a rat's butt about customer service/ experience.
Horrible!
Horrible!! Bought the eSIM in Hungary, and ended up paying the full monthly price for only 5 days of usage. Then my SIM was suddenly locked in Czech Republic. I didn't know which way to go without Google Maps, and I couldn't call Bold or Uber either. I tried resetting via PIN 1234 (as instructed online) and it locked me out completely. Now asking for a PUK code. Shame on this entity!
Worst company ever!!!!
Worst company ever!!!!
Don’t turn up to install my broadband and then tell me I need to wait another two weeks until they can come again!!!!!
Vodafone, never again!
For all those looking to get a home connection, here's my strong recommendation, avoid Vodafone.
Here's my experience:
From the store1, signed Vodafone Home & TV contract on July 07, 2024, got it installed on July 11, 2024.
It stopped working from July, 18 until late evening of July, 19. Called support and earliest support visit scheduled was July 29 (10 days).
Disappointed with Vodafone service, I switched to Telekom and went for Vodafone cancellation on July 19, 2024.
I went to store2 to cancel, I ask for 14 days cancellation policy, they told me that I only have that policy if I bought the service online, I got it from the store1 hence cancellation charge of 22k must be paid. (I didn't cancel that day)
Now with the mindset that I have to pay anyway, I waited to have Telekom installed. Telekom installed on July 26. I went for cancellation of Vodafone to the same store1 where I had purchased it. I asked for the same 14 day policy, I am past 14 day policy already so I have to pay 25k + Bills (This time I forgot to take my passport and the device, so again didn't cancel at this store).
Few hours later, I went to store2, Total cancellation cost 26k all included(around 31k as per Store1), paid. Done and dusted. Vodafone, Never again!
Don't choose their services get Telekom
2 weeks ago, I made the mistake of making a contract with them. The lady at the shop told me my contract start date will be July 14th (but obviously they will install it before that - they won't).
Ever since, they have been avoiding us, and not honoring their appointments. We wait at home all day and then they just write"due to technical reason the person will not come, new timeslos in 2-3 days" and this is a standard. My theory is that since I went there
July 1st, but my "billing date" is july 14th noone cares and will procrastinate until the 14th. They will probably miss that too, and move my new start date to Aug 1st.
On the phone nobody speaks english, I used to have Tmobile in this same house and I regret not going with them. We had a fantastic experience with Tmobile/Telekom, they got us the router going in 3 working days, it is incredible that it is so clear this business is boarderline above a scam and they managed to create an institution where genuinely nobody cares about customer experience.
Vodafone is the worst!
This is the worst cable/internet provider. We only have one cable box and a modem and have interrupted service several times a month. We have to call in for them to “send a signal” to the box. And our son hasn’t been able to use his computer at all since we switched providers. Miserable service, unhappy household. 🤯
My 86-year-old mother signed a contract…
My 86-year-old mother signed a contract with Vodafone in January meanwhile she had an accident and went to a retirement home, broadband landline and television are not needed any more. If I want to terminate the contract, it would cost me 170.000 HUF - which comes to 24.000 HUF monthly - the contract is 10.000/month. So Vodafone is forcing me to keep the contract and not helping at all the customer service is also below standard. If would be a star minus I would use it.
I'm not advising anyone to sign a contract with this unreasonable and ignorant service provider.
An unhappy person.
Vodafone's prepaid scam…
Vodafone's prepaid internet package is a scam.
You will asked at the shop to choose a certain gigabyte package e.g. 6Gb, 20Gb, 500 Gb or "Unlimited".
Once you start using the package, you will see that the speed is reduced and the gigabytes offered per month, cannot be used in practice.
Speedtest by Ookla will show "ok" results, but in reality Vodafone has made an algorythm that tricks the results on their server. So that customers cannot prove at the shop what is going on.
If you try to ask your money back they will refuce that the scam exists. But if you run a professional software to test the speeds with other SIM cards, you will notice the scam easily. Only Vodafone's prepaid SIM card, will have sudden "dropdowns" after a few gigabytes have been consumed.
Thus better stay away from Vodafone when in Hungary.
Kriszta employee from Vodafone Gyula…
Kriszta employee from Vodafone Gyula selling contracts on everything, and no good to speak about service coverage. Made us a contract for XXL plan and ended up being a nightmare, can't even work with the router they sold us saying it is the only one they have. Now we need a new router and she only sell it if we do a new contract even though we already have a contract.
Very bad customer service
I just signed up for a home internet subscription, but the internet isn't working. I called twice for support, the agents promised to call me back, but they didn't. On the third call, I requested the intervention of a technician, who they refused to send. Rude and unprofessional operators.
Worst wifi ever srsly

Hong Kong Visitors buy SIM card in Vodafone Budapest
We were from Hong Kong visiting Budapest in Sept 2023. Out of data, we visited a Vodafone shop in a mall. A woman staff gave me a leaflet in English which explained the service/products they provided. In particular, the leaflet suggested that customers could obtain a SIM card free of charge and top up their account in any Vodafone shops. However, I was requested to pay 1500 HUF for the SIM card. I did not want to argue because I was in need of data badly.
Having bought the SIM, we tried to top it up in vain. Messages sent to my phone was in Hungarian. We had to go back to the Vodafone shop again. Later on, a second woman staff who attended to us however rejected our request for top up in shop and instead told us to go to a newspaper stall nearby to do that. We were quite desperate because we did not speak Hungarian and did not know how to locate the stall. When asked why the leaflet was saying different, she very rudely said she could just give me a new leaflet conforming to what she said. Then, without asking for my permission she snatched the leaflet from my possession and attempted to tear it apart. I stopped her and told her her service sucked. She asked me not to yell at her, like I was the one who committed a wrongdoing against her.
I had never met people in the service industry like that. EXTREMELY POOR customer service.
What she said was DIFFERENT from leaflet in black and white. The owner of Vodafone might wish to know whether his/her staff was doing what she was supposed to do.
The woman keeper in the newspaper stall was another bad experience. Both were women. It seemed some Hungarian women were racist against Chinese.
I will NEVER ever buy from Vodafone for sure. More, I will NEVER visit Budapest again.
Prague was a MUCH BETTER experience. People in Prague were very polite; landscapes in Prague were scenic like a picture......
I'm not too happy with the service…
I'm not too happy with the reception what is even worse is the MyVodafone app they provide. It keeps crashing or logging me out. Additionally, I had a bad experience while trying to purchase a phone through them after renewing my contract. They failed to notify me when the desired phone became available for purchase. The website constantly crashed during the purchasing process, and at times, the phone would even disappear from my basket before I could proceed to checkout. The customer service agents available through the live chat were of no assistance either. They were unable to answer even simple questions about stock availability.
