The booking agent, Heather, took time to identify our requirements (mobility/ access) and suggest alternatives to our initial enquiry, through her extensive knowledge of the available cruisers. This led us to change our destination but achieve a more suitable vessel.

This was a very easy, friendly booking session. I felt that everyone involved was very knowledgeable about any issues that might come up and very quick to answer my queries.

Prior to booking we rang Waterways Holidays and had a very helpful and informative phone conversation. No automated phone option rubbish, but straight through to a real person who answered all our questions. The lady we spoke to even phoned the boatyard for us and called us back about our booking.

Very easy to make a reservation, had call back within a couple of hours. Very pleasant call, really friendly and informative, and was given lots of information over the phone. Payment options were very reasonable and a all round pleasant call.

All pretty good, however for some reason I was unable to save the page on my computer which meant going back to square one between browsing what was on offer, deciding to book, and making the provisional booking. Nice to be contacted by a representative by phone in confirmation, who was very helpful.

Booking through Waterways Holidays was great. I booked the holiday through the website, I was then contacted shortly after by a member of staff to confirm, and then first thing the next working day I had a confirmation email, easy. Looking forward to the break!

We rang from Australia to book a 7 day narrowboat hire with Waterways Holidays.Trudi took our call and was excellent. She explained everything about the booking process and answered all our questions. She gave us lots of information about the area, the narrowboat we had chosen and the process of hiring the boat.
Hopefully we manage the boat as well as she managed our booking!
We are looking forward to our first narrowboat experience.

We just got back from a last minute weekend away. I rang and spoke to Abbi two days before we were due to go on a canal boat holiday with another company who cancelled us last minute due to the water levels in their canals being too high. Abbi immediately found us exactly what we needed!! The boat was clean and so well equipped and the bed was really comfy and the staff were so friendly. We had the time of our lives and will definitely be going again!

The website was very easy to navigate. Booking was also easy to do. Communication with the bookings staff was fast and efficient even with the difference in time zones.

Unfortunately, I too have fallen victim to a 'system pricing error', just as the customer in one of the previous reviews had. When it came to complete the deal, the rates doubled and my trip for 16 people was gone. May be best to deal directly with the operator and avoid the 'middle men'???

The website is very informative with plenty of information. After you’ve made a provisional booking someone contacted me whom was extremely pleasant and helpful. A very good booking experience.
