Paid for the gold service and they couldn't even get the outside right.

Alloys were not clean, door pockets completely untouched, simple marks not cleaned and it looked like it hadn't even been hoovered.

Spoke to waves and because each car wash is a franchise, their defence is that means it's not their problem. I guess that means their reputation that they are effectively selling to these Franchises is worthless.

Very rude refusing to wash car, because I told them to be careful with the car as I have just brought it and spent my life savings on it,Stoke-On-Trent Hanley branch spoke to the owner he was very rude and told me to go elsewhere 0 stars from me and I have been using them for 5 years wow.

Dropped a car off for the £50 valet service(Gold) and was quoted as such by a lady staff member . Returned 90 minutes later and my car was collected by my friend . Drove it it for 2 minutes to bring it my office. The outside of the was clean but the inside was dreadful. They clearly had not done anything. To add insult to the injury, they charged an additional £10 because they apparently did not realise the car was a 7 seater. What a load of nonsense. The £60 charge was closer to a £25 job quality.
I returned the following day to complain about this rubbish service . The first question the owner asked was why we did not bring it back the same day on a defensive manner . I explained why and they agreed to redo the job . Still not good but better than before . Owner claimed that they have never had a complaint. Clearly lying based on these reviews . No offer of partial refunds. I wish I had checked the reviews before subjecting myself to this robbery. Highly suggest you avoid this enterprise

Paid for a wash a Gold valet. Just not good enough. Clearly no effort made. Showed them the issues and they just made excuses. Took 10 minutes of discussion to get a token £10 refund.

The main franchise company can comment all it likes about contacting the franchise owner directly. It’s your brand and reputation. Put some proper quality control in place and you might start seeing better results. You clearly have not got the incentives right.

I had a volume 3 gold standard car wash at Tesco Extra site in Redditch today (Thursday 28th May 2026 ) I was quoted about an hour and when I returned after 1 1/2 hours they still hadn't finished which is fine until I get home, there was still bird droppings on the roof of my car and rear spoiler, there were streak marks down the sides of the car where the car hadn't been wiped down properly and the windows inside hadn't been opened and the top of them wiped. Over all I am very disappointed with the cleanliness of my car for £36

Went to the Ashford Waves at Dobbies Garden Centre. Dreadful experience. Despite there being only 2 other cars there for the entire duration it took well over an hour to clean my car. The job itself was the poorest car clean I have ever had. Waxing was entirely left off and the cleaning was non existent in places. When I went to pay the 'boss man' (who just sat and yelled abuse at the workers) overcharged me. I tried to argue and he was threatening to me and would not give me back my keys unless I paid what he demanded. Stay away if you are a woman on your own, this place is not safe.

Waves Rugby stripped some paint off my car (plus took an hour more than promised).

Vehemently denied it and rushed to the camera recording to prove it but couldn't. They didn't call back as promised (no surprise).

I escalated to the franchise owner who said the service is at the owner's risk. Now it's wasting my time and money to repair the damage to my car, done by Waves Car Wash.

First and last time with this company.

Smears & spots completely missed but it keeps immigrants employed so it satisfies my internal wellbeing

Fantastic job done inside and out, the workers respectful and polite.

Charged me £40 in & out. Exterior looked clean (no tyre shine). Interior had a very basic Hoover and wipe down, missed loads, all hard to get to spots just left. Both glovebox and centre console box untouched. Door trims not wiped down. Boot mat was jet washed but boot was not hoovered. About 6-8 unfriendly people washing cars there so shouldn't miss a thing. Got my hoover out when I got home.
Won't be back.

Happy with result of full clean outside and in. Van was very dirty before!

Disgusting people working at the car wash at Tesco Extra, Exeter Vale shopping centre. I suffer from severe OCD and they just continuously ignored my requests. Then one of the workers threatened me with violence - I was very close to calling the police.

Had the 'Gold' car wash with inside of car cleaned, very pleased, my car was in a bad way and looks great now and good price too. At Martins Heron Tesco, Bracknell.

Firstly the car wash is located in the dimly lit covered car park. Yes the cabin has floodlights but trust me this makes no difference whatsoever, when it comes to the shoddy workmanship conducted by these guys. The poor lighting deceives the customer on inspection of the vehicle, along with the fact that you trust these guys to do the job you're paying £25.00 (Gold Service) for. I had it cleaned first thing Sunday morning, first in, no other cars there, so not busy and therefore no excuse. On the face of things the car looked clean. When I got home the realisation of how shockingly poor the service was kicked in.
1) Alloys still dirty, especially in the corners of the spokes.
Only the face of the alloy is cleaned, not the inside, what I call the drum.
2) I had a splash of bird muck on the offside back door, the residue was still present, I mean really? They obviously didn't wash the car properly.
3) Mats were cleaned, but not efficiently. All were still soiled, I wouldn't mind but my rear ones weren't half as bad, yet I still had to clean all 4 when I got home.
4) Your supposed to get exterior body treatment whatever that means, I would presume some form of wax. Anyway it rained Sunday night. I got up Monday morning to a car that had rain beads on just the bonnet and the boot, nothing on the doors and astonishingly nothing on the roof. In my opinion the bare minimum of product had been used, and they certainly hadn't treated the whole car. Waves might be a franchise but I will never trust to use any of them again.

My car has been absolutely destroyed by Waves In Altrincham, please take my advice don’t use them!
They have managed to strip the paint from one panel and are blaming me! Telling me that the car must have had a respray which is absolutely untrue!!
I am gutted by what they have done to my beautiful car and beyond distraught by their lack of action and ownership of the fault in this matter.

Just too expensive and cleaned inside and out in 20 minutes. £45 pounds paid for a small car and they asked for cash twickenham tesco… terrible job and ruined my entertainment screen with a spray. Avoid and would have cleaned it myself but just had knee surgery
