Wickes - Lichfield Reviews 

Visited the store in Lichfield looking for outdoor paving as our local store had none. Found just what we wanted and they had enough in stock. Went to make the purchase and book a delivery only to find the only option was click and collect! These were 22 - 900x600x20 porcelain tiles not a small box of 6x4! The member of staff was as surprised as we were for items so large and heavy. She was very apologetic, it left us a choice of going somewhere else or try and get them home ourselves.
In the end it took us 3 trips a total of 72 miles not very environmentally friendly and certainly not what customers in their 70’s wanted to be doing on a hot Saturday afternoon.
The staff did as much as they were able to assist us at the store but we still had 3 journeys and had to unload the tiles once home! We’re feeling the effects today !

Absolutely dreadful company we wanted to return an item over 30 days so called the head office who advised we call the Lichfield branch, we did and spoke to the manager who was so high and mighty he said it’s below me speak to the store staff. We called back and they said as it over the 30 days period they could only offer a store credit which was fine. We loaded about half a ton of curb stones and cement etc and drove to the store only to be told no we won’t accept the items back !!! Terrible customer service and the manager needs sacking.

We entered the store looking for bathroom storage and we were able to speak with Lynne Smith, who was very enthusiastic and came to our honeymoon the same afternoon to discuss options and draw up various scenarios for our small bathroom. Unfortunately Wickes do not install bathroom furniture without the need for plumbing but Lynne still took her time with us and advised that as soon as we found someone to do the installation we would be able to order and receive the goods at the pre-agreed price. If we had needed a plumbed bathroom install we would have chosen them as we were treated so well

After several weeks of getting nowhere with customer services over damaged tins of paint ordered over the internet, a wonderful lady called bev at the Lichfield branch saved the day. It's always better to speak to someone face to face. Because of her I will still shop at Wickes, but maybe not online.

Went to Wickes in Lichfield to discuss a new kitchen with Julie, she was so supportive and informative, made me feel at ease and talked through the whole process and offered alternatives where needed. I can highly recommend speaking to Julie especially if like me you didnt know where to start.

We've changed our mind so many times and she was always there, very helpful, very patient and she gave us great advices and recommendations. Last year we wanted to change a small box room adjoining a double bedroom into an en-suite. We found Lynne Smith at Wickes Lichfield to be so helpful. Lynne assisted in our choice of bathroom units, she was helpful, informative and very patient. Her computer aided drawings of the layout were great in choosing exactly what we wanted. Wickes advised us of proposed delivery dates/times and then delivered the selected items punctually.
We were so pleased with the ensuite, we have just had a downstairs wet room created, courtesy of Wickes and Lynne.
I have no hesitation in recommending them.
