Customer Service

Had a repair issue with my scan watch , I got in contact through the website and chatted with Mary who could not have done anymore for me .The customer service and experience from start to fineish with this lady was exceptional. Problem solved and a very happy customer.

Lack of aftercare

As a long time Withings customer who has bought many products over the years I have experienced at first hand the poor quality customer service.
The lack of care and refusal to replace a ScanWatch 2 that stopped working after less than 23 months beggars belief, particularly when there are known issues with these watches.
Withings clearly does not feel that customer satisfaction is important. Unfortunately I have to recommend to stay away.

This is now my 3rd watch from withings and I really like them (I also use an Apple Watch). Works very well, the battery life is great and that it looks like a normal watch is a massive selling point. I only buy a new one when I want to have a new look and feel (personal preference), the watch themselves just keep working. I've never had an issue with them

When you spend £90 on scales and they die after using about 20 times and there is no help available , no one to speak to , nowhere to return it , it’s extremely disappointing.
Salutary lesson learned.

Buying and installing process perfect

The order was smooth. The delivery point could be picked easily and the delivery was on time. The setup is easy and it is seamless and in the continuity of the previous scale (it recognizes the users) . So very happy with this new scale.

When forking out close to £300 on a smart watch you'd expect it to last more than the 2 years they warranty it for. My watch seal failed and started misting up. They offered me a 30% discount which I did not take. I won't be buying another one... Very poor!

Withings Body Scan scales…

purchased the Withings Body Scan scales for £350, expecting a premium product that I could rely on, especially following my heart bypass surgery in 2023 when monitoring my health became particularly important.

The first year was fine, but during the second year various features and measurement categories repeatedly stopped working. Each time, I had to contact Withings support and go through lengthy troubleshooting processes involving numerous emails back and forth. The issues would appear to be fixed temporarily, only to return again a short time later.

In May, I contacted support once again regarding the same ongoing faults. After yet more emails, troubleshooting steps, and providing multiple weight measurements as requested, I was eventually told there was nothing more they could do because the scales were now out of warranty.

What makes this especially frustrating is that these problems first occurred while the product was still under warranty, and I reported them at the time. Despite the documented history of faults and support cases, Withings refused to take this into consideration. Instead, the only solution offered was a 30% discount on purchasing another scale.

I feel extremely disappointed and let down by the way this has been handled. After spending £350 on what is marketed as a premium health device, I expected better product reliability and far better customer support. Given the recurring faults, the time spent troubleshooting, and the lack of meaningful assistance when the product ultimately failed, I feel completely abandoned as a customer.

I purchased this scale to help me keep track of important health metrics after major heart surgery. Instead, I’ve been left with an expensive product that no longer functions properly and a company unwilling to stand behind it.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend the Withings Body Scan. It has been a very costly and frustrating disappointment.

Pretty is as pretty does. Disappointing functionality.

Absolutely love the analog look and the beauty of the watch. As far as performance features, I am dismally disappointed.

Poor step tracking, it does not count steps under about 7 steps in a row. I clean out my horses stalls and end up with a third of the actual steps taken. If you are doing anything around your house, almost no steps. I have to get 15,000 to 20,000 to register 10,000 on this device.

The sleep analysis is poor at best. I regularly get a “bad” rating for sleep depth, which would be understandable if it was bad (suggest changing this to “Low” instead so it’s not so discouraging and negative). Last night it recorded over 2 hours of deep and over an hour of REM, maybe not great but not poor. I also got in over 9 hours of sleep so the percentage was 34% - they measure percentage to qualify the rating and under 50% restorative is BAD. I left early one morning for a flight, departing my house at 4:30am. It said I slept until 6:30 despite getting up at 4 and driving to the airport. It frequently misses the first entire hour of sleep, discounting the regularity AND missing a big chunk of deep and REM.

I would give it a 1 for function but bumped it up to a 2 due to the fabulous looks and ease of changing out bands and the long battery life - all nice features but doesn’t make up for the poor functionality. It doesn’t do what it is billed to do. Won’t be buying any of the add on products if the basic product is so “bad”.

Withings Scanwatch 2 died after 40 charges

Bought Withings Scanwatch 2. £320 from their website just over 2 years. All good and really enjoyed with typical 25 day battery life which is superb when comparing to the likes of Apple and Google watches. BUT about a month after the 2 year warranty things started deteriorating. Battery in successive days went from 25 to 10 to 5 to 2 to 1 and then battery would last barely a couple of hours before going flat. Informed by helpdesk to try turning off all functions. What's the point of a smartwatch if it does nothing!! Anyway did what they advised but it made no difference. Eventually told out of warranty and can't give a replacement but out of their generousity would give a 30% discount voucher against a new model. Not happy that battery rated to charge 500+ times but mine deteriorated and unusable after just 40 charges. Very poor for a watch costing over £300 you would have expected to last a lot longer. Heard of other cases. Perhaps its a small minority and do hope so that it's not a major design fault. Be Careful !!!

Very Good quality products

Very Good quality products, great shipping experience, great Android App, do the job, a little-bit over priced for what it actually does, but i am willing to pay, if it's for a french company.
