Easy to use especially with the help of WordPress AI and the help of their Happiness Engineer, Nick. NO need for a third party builder, their inhouse platform Gutenberg was more than enough. I received plenty of compliments as a first time web designer of the website.

Block-building is logical, and covers the arena

Compared to setting up and hosting a site myself, everything went smoothly and quickly. I did not need to spend days referencing tutorials, manuals and guides, and the domain integrations were seamless. When I had validation issues with ICANNS, the support team were prompt and effective in resolving them.

Very complicated. Not well explained or given helpful support. Have had to use specialist help as we a voluntary group.

very bad customer service people seem to not be able to read and understand English. avoid them if you look for place where you can be safe and get help when needed

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST!! It's impossible to work with, even with the simpliest, beginners themes. It's build extremly unintuitive. It will make you frustrated and 100% to giveup having your own website..

Disastrous.
I used to have self-hosted wordpress websites but I was tired of the work it required to update and the fact it was kind of difficult to optmize loading speeds.
So I decided to give Wordpress.com a try, thinking the much higher cost would be worth it.
It's not.
I have susbcribed to the business account. The website is super slow at times. I sometimes don't even have access to my WP-admin or it takes minutes to load a single page, then I give up.
The so called helpline is not helpful most of the time : they keep asking you to take the basic " empty browser cache" steps, it takes time to get to speak to a real human, and when you do, they probably deal with several customers at a time since you are waiting and wainting and wainting for them to read your anwsers to their questions. I once waited over an hour and got fed-up. They eventually sent me an email the next day to explain the issue was caused by an update they had made...
Honestly if you want a working website and a decent helpline, choose another company.

I think it's as easy as it can be for coding. I'm still learning how to work with it, but I'm still learning it. That's just me needing to play around with me it.

I wouldn't say it was easy, but it was gratifying to be able to "clothe" my input with beautiful professionally designed themes. I also appreciate the 100% smooth process of testing various themes without complicated commitment. Being a senior citizen, my learning curve is probably slower/more gradual than that of younger people.

Horrible! Wordpress is such a pain, I feel I need a vacation. I am managing 2 separate, business oriented websites. EVERYTHING takes HOURS to be done properly. Forget immediate text, images and video uploads. Every single step there is something else, and then something else. The blocks are not looking right - there are areas where blocks work fine, but then are the rest of of the website areas where they don't work at all. The widgets are not configured properly. When the images are uploaded, good luck on placing them in the right spot and choosing the right size. When you want to save something on the page, and receive the red flag sign saying that this cannot be done, you will likely spend countless hours trying to find out what the heck happened and more countless hours to fix the issue.
When you want to change the way the content can be uploaded (because whatever you try does not work), that will take you countless hours too.
Pain, pain, pain.
Don't even bother trying to colour the back ground of the text as you want to - what works on one paragraph will surely not work for the whole page.
Borders, radius, pixels, spacing... - can someone please hold my hand?

And if you accidentally walk over to templates area and change things there and by an innocent mistake click something, and you are not aware you clicked it, I suggest go find a mental help professional - you'll need one.
And then, let me tell you, when you want to revert to the older version, because you can't fix the current version..well...you can't. You click and click the right button, and...nothing happens.

With me spending over 80 hours on each of my websites to create them as I want to, STILL there are plenty of areas that are not to my liking but I am too afraid to touch them, because I know that at that time the new nightmare will begin.
If someone asks me, I would shout from the rooftops: cancel wordpress, make it go away and never be available again.

Oh yes, then, one day, you just go and check all your pages, just to make sure how the public sees them, and...bam...in one of them you suddenly find some weird symbols, which did not exist last time you were there.

Service expectancy reached

Quite expensive, but overall satisfied with what they offer. If you purchase the base plan, there isn't much you can do with customization, and most of the features require upgrades, which is a bit annoying because the base plan is not that cheap.
However, you can still design your website to a certain extent. Hope they can offer other features.

I was able to step back into the site after being away a few years and pick right up. There are added features, but they seemed intuitive. I'm not a young techie. I just turned 78 and was apprehensive about changes. I was up and running almost immediately.

Today we had an issue with the site because of a plugin. I contacted support and in less then 5 minutes, they were able to find and fix the bad plugin and fixed my site. Customer service: 10/10

Google Gemini recommended to install a plugin to fix an issue I was having with learning how to use WP, and instead of fixing it, it crashed my site entirely. Unable to get it back up and running, I turned to the Support Team with WP for their help. Not only did they reinstate my website, but they also helped me with my initial problem that I turned to Google Gemini for in the first place. Over and above the service I envisioned. Truly a Happiness Engineer, and I'm so very very grateful!!
