my website template is clunky and not intuitive to work with/design/program. The worst thing is when the email "newsletter" of my blog posts is generated and sent out to my readers it is totally glitchy and a messed-up version of the template of the blog on the website: the header photos are presented twice/duplicated and really large for some reason, all the other photos and graphics are crooked and not lined up as on the website. AND the auto greeting message to new readers that I wrote and activated is NOT sending to new readers when they subscribe, as it says it is!!? they just get a weird sign up for wordpress blogs in general, and a total for the number of people who are our readers, which I DO NOT WANT to have sent out - I hate it. The whole email newsletter thing is poorly programmed, poorly supported, and totally unprofessional.. screws up my business

Last year I switched from Wix to WordPress and to be honest I don't know what took me so long.
I also did change career paths and diving more into creative writing. Switching to WordPress was an absolute effortless decision. How easy it is to do things on this platform. Not only for writing and SEO but also the design and layout that you can update your website to maybe accommodate a new look without having to take time in changing each page and such. For those that are coming from Wix to WordPress you know what I mean.
Also, I have had more interaction with SEO without and more people viewing my website more than Wix had ever in the years combined that I was with it.
WordPress goes along way to support their clients and to make sure the return on investment is good for us and on them. This is why this company is great. If you don't grow they don't grow.

I thought I invested in a good web…
I thought I invested in a good web platform but I was wrong. Although my subscription was premium, I was stuck in every single detail and requested for an upgrade to pay more to be able to continue to build my website as I like. I won’t try again. So many hidden windows to edit and revise things and also restrictions coming from default templates that you cannot over ride.
I would like to have a refund. It’s been a huge waste of time for me.

The website functionality is becoming a bit more restrictive each time they make changes. They recommend a plan then after a short while discontinue it and offer something else while making your current plan more expensive. Online support has become pretty much nonexistent.

I really enjoyed building my website. I managed to connect my domain purchased through GoDaddy with WordPress. If you have intermediate knowledge of web code, let me tell you that without Elementor, you won't be able to add advanced code to personalise your site. The platform blocks them immediately. They are doing it on purpose to push you to upgrade your account.

It's been great once I'd mastered (well almost) all of the chaotic menu systems in July this year. Now I know how to access the areas I need most I have been able to continue developing my site at pace. I know I'm partly to blame though as I tend to just "dive in" without taking time to follow the step by step tutorials properly. So 4 out of 5 for me, mainly because I didn't find the menu system to be intuitive at all. An immense learning curve! (but definitely worth it in the end) 😁
