Had a great help from the Customer Services, Y-cam Solutions in the name of Antony Fernandez. He did reply within 24 hours and helped me with a problem with my Y-Cam Evo Indoor HD camera and solved the problem the same day. You can call that a very good and helpfull aftersales.
The camera is great and it has a nice image and enough options to work with. The next camera I will buy will be from the same brand...

Well pleased with the cameras and found any times I've had support queries that Antony was very responsive and helpful.
I have an indoor and an outdoor camera. I've had excellent customer service. I emailed Antony and he responded with solutions. Every thing is working well.
I started spending a lot of money (they’re not cheap) buying 8 cameras in November/2012 and a month later they discontinued all the models without any support. Two years later I bought 2 brand new cameras because they said you have 7 days free storage. Now they discontinued the free storage and you have to pay even for the 7 days. There are a lot of better options. Y-cam is crap. Even on the most sensitive motion detection it didn’t recorded important movements in my house. Tried to access the new models from the browser with username and password but they block it. Other issue is that they don’t work without an internet connection. The older models do! I would like to return them all and get my money back!
I dealt with Antony on a issue I had with my camera and he responded very timely and resolved my problem and told how to fix it for future issues.
Disappointed that Motion Recording Schedule can't be set from the app on an iPhone; it has to be done on a computer. Still waiting for the software update that will stop the Protect Indoor Camera from sending motion alerts when it is disabled in the Motion Recording Schedule.
Excellent system. Going to get one to replace my parents’ bells only alarm, as well. Very reassuring to be able to watch the house, inside and out, when away. Also, when I am alone in the house at night I lock my bedroom door, if the alarm went off I could check the cameras from my phone so I don’t have to open my bedroom door to see what’s happening. I also have the key fob programmed to send an auto sms alert to family in case of emergency. So many services in one!
Total sham. Camera now a useless webcam with zero functionality due to company change of service condition.

Very happy with my Y-cams (3 now). The only disappointment is that the cloud space will eventually not be free any more. However it is a great little set up for us to be able to monitor our home, particularly when we are away. Took a bit more effort than expected to fix the outdoor camera on to it's slot on the wall but we got there in the end.

If you are considering buying consider this. They offered all "free" cloud services when I bought my cameras. You might not think the current charges are too bad but what's to stop them tripeling the charges after you have bought your setup? Why did they not change to 1 day free at least? They are currently saying their service is the cheapest so they may do. I'm ripping it all out and changing to SD card storage which can be hidden in my home and uses wifi. I'd have bought lots more if they even had 1 day free.

I bought these cameras for protection and peace of mind now guess who feels he has been conned by the exact people who are offering me protection! It was free but its now not free.... You should be ashamed Ycam and don't try and dress it up any other way,I bought off you in good faith,well that was very foolish off me,the system does work well,not a problem with the camera hardware but the cloud part what a cock up..

Ordering, delivery and set up were a doddle. The quality of the products, sensors, siren, hub is faultless. Apart from a small problem with a battery which was quickly and efficiently dealt with, the whole experience is worthy of recommendation. Buy with confidence because there's a bloke on the other end of a phone to guide you through any hiccups. (Keep away from the external siren or cover your ears!)
Avoid these cameras and this company - There selling point was "Y-Cam HomeMonitor HD Pro Outdoor Wireless Surveillance Camera; The ONLY Camera with FREE CLOUD STORAGE- 720p HD, Waterproof, Easy Set Up, Iphone and Android App." What a heap of crap!! So, after selling you on the idea of free cloud storage on camera(s) they then determine that they could be making more money by charging for storage and change their policy. I requested refund, they said they would extend my free storage for another 2 years or give partial refund -big deal!! When I purchased the cameras - I purchases them because I did not have to buy storage. I would store the footage on my own computer if that were possible but it is not. Still no refund issued and since I have not been given what I paid for - I am sure a class action lawsuit is not far off!!

I had a recent problem with my indoor and outdoor cameras at the same time. I tried to wire them up to the wi fi Box perfect, pointing in the wrong directions, when disconnecting red lights flashing.
Phoned Y CAM and spoke to the engineer Antony Fernandez, who put me on the right track, I followed his instructs to the tee. Brilliant thanks I am photo agenda for Y CAM
After a neighbour was burgled I decided to get camera that I could view my lounge and get alerts on my smart phone. I decided on the Y cam Evo. I purchased it , and it was easy to set up also the picture quality is HD. with settings you can customise. I also got help and advice from Antony at the support centre when i needed it. The camera gives me peace of mind when I am away from my home. Would recommend it.
I've used Y-cam for years (Knight S was my first). Several years ago I switched over to their home monitor service which is a complete security camera service with phone app, etc. The cameras are easy to install and easy to use. Never had any issues. They recently changed their business model and this has lead to some upset users. IMO the change is reasonable, understandable and I'm sure the negative sentiment will be short-lived.
