Let's face it you get what you pay for
Let's face it you get what you pay for. I booked this for a few nights to attend a gig at the Ziggo Dome, bed and breakfast and non refundable. Because I know better than Google we deviated from the route and the area didn't feel particularly safe, with gangs of young lads hanging around some of the lower rent blocks of flats. This, along with the extensive building work going on in the area, probably contributed to a bit of a negative impression before we arrived and checked in. We were assisted with a quick check in and directed to the neighbouring block (the hotel is in two buildings on the lot). Security seems good - card reader on external doors - but a smoking staff member tailgated us so not so sure how effective it will be.
We got into the room and it was a great size and well appointed but the windows were wide open - the room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke and, opening the bathroom door, there was a smell of drains. I thought the room seemed clean enough but when I tried the bed the smell of smoke was strong and I knew there'd be little chance of a good sleep. My wife had a good look at the room generally and said that the carpet was dirty so overall we got the impression of uncleanliness and a sketchy area - my wife said she wouldn't feel safe coming back late at night (as we were planning) and we felt that the cleanliness of one room tends to reflect the general state.
So we made a snap decision and just cut our losses and booked another hotel right beside the venue for half the rate they were offering when we first looked for a hotel stay. We left without saying anything and checked out the next morning, telling them why and saying that the open windows pointed to the fact that the smell was known about but we were told that windows are left open as a matter of policy. Personally I don't buy it - very few windows were open when we arrived either time - but we could be wrong. Anyway I asked for a goodwill refund of one night and was politely refused because of the terms of booking and the fact that we hadn't given them a chance to remedy the complaints about the room, which I do accept.
The reviews of the hotel are generally positive and I understand the price/quality balance and the fact that we just left rather than giving the hotel a chance to try to remedy the situation but there are some very negative reviews as well which reflect our impressions and experience.
You learn from experience and whilst the walk from the Ziggo is acceptable there are better options closer for, in our case and at the last minute, not a great deal more.

Hotel was great
Hotel was great and ideal location for arena. Room was very warm but settled after a couple of days, aircon did keep switching off but assumed this was on a timer so didn’t raise at the time as it did cool down quickly once back on.
Staff really friendly and quickly helped with an issue we had with the safe.

Hotel that feels like a converted office block
We choose to stay closer to the arena than in the centre - Taxi out 30mins and 70e approx. But the metro is 5 mins away and takes 20mins. (15 mins walk approx to Johan Cruff)
Hotel has an automated check-in/out ok fairly simple and you print as many key cards as you need.
The ensuite is amazing made up for the shoddy carpet in the room (big hole) cigarette burn in the net curtain and the wonky chair + USB points that don't work!

I had a great stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend it. Everything was clean, quiet, and well organized. I really appreciated the extra amenities, such as the vending machines where you could easily buy drinks and snacks at any time. The room was well equipped with a coffee machine and a refrigerator, which made the stay even more comfortable. Overall, I really liked the whole system and concept of the hotel. Great location and experience
We came to Amsterdam for the Harry Styles concert and like other reviewers, the location of the Hotel to the stadium and central Amsterdam was so convenient -you could walk to the stadium and the metro into the city centre is only a very short walk from the hotel- we were pleasantly surprised! The hotel is located in a safe area and 3 adults comfortably shared a good sized triple room. Effortless automated check in and check out was great too. Thanks very much and we will be back!

I highly recommend this hotel
I highly recommend this hotel! The location is excellent and very convenient — we came for a concert and really appreciated the hotel’s location and the fact that the Arena can be reached on foot. There are also good connections to the airport and the city centre.
The hotel is new, very clean, and the staff are very pleasant. There is also the possibility to leave your luggage before check-in and after check-out.

There wasn’t a single bedsheet on the bed. Instead, there was one sheet coming from the head side to the middle and another from the foot side to the middle. How can a hotel do something like this? I have never seen such a thing in my life, not even in a hostel. It makes no sense and feels absurd. I don’t even want to talk about the pillows. The inside of them was yellowish, and the pillowcases themselves were not clean either. There was also something like a very thin 15 cm mattress on the bed. Even when you turned the air conditioner off, it kept blowing air continuously and making noise.
By the way, I think I forgot my earphones in the room, and nobody even contacted me about it. It’s not very important, but I wanted to mention it. I think I’ve stayed here around four times before, and I even recommended this place to someone once, but after this experience, definitely not anymore.

Never again
We had to change our dates and had to pay double in the end. No extra day or anything, the staff was also very rude about this. It was very hot during the week-end and the AC does not work at all and we were also unable to turn off the heater in the bathroom. Breakfast is not too bad but 20€ ? Way too expensive. We had dirty towels in the bathroom as well... For the price I expect everything to be perfect but it was just horrible :/

We wish we had known sooner so a team member could have helped you get comfortable more quickly. The same goes for the towels: a quick word at reception and fresh ones would have been on their way to you right away. An amazing experience
We truly had an amazing experience. Went to Amsterdam to see Harry Styles, not only this hotel was close to the stadium he was playing at, it was also close to the city centre, as well as the airport! The staff went above and beyond, especially Victor, who on our first night helped us tons with our dinner. Thank you so much Victor, you made our stay truly unforgettable, it meant a lot to us. The room was amazing, everything was clean and we felt really safe! All the staff spoke fluent english and let us leave our bags in the storage room after our stay, as our plane was leaving late at night.
