May 2026 I engaged this company to handle a person import by sea arriving at Felixstowe from China. They charged me almost £500 inc. VAT for shipping a pallet in the UK. Some of the other charges weren't detailed and may be dubious. I checked with Palletways who wanted about £130 for the same service. When challenged about their high cost I was dismissed by their management and subsequently was 'forced' to pay this ridiculous overcharge.
Avoid this company!

AVOID THIS COMPANY

After booking online, I had to follow up repeatedly for three days before receiving an order confirmation, and another three days before a collection was finally arranged. The shipment then sat idle for nearly two weeks before being dispatched. Upon arrival, the boxes were visibly damaged, and when I raised this with Yes2Ship, I was told this was the responsibility of their subcontractor—despite the fact that my agreement was directly with Yes2Ship.

Really poor experience, been in touch with the company for a few months and decided to book. The delivery was meant to be door to door in reality it’s not door to door. The delivery will be picked up from curb side regardless the size of the delivery this surely wasn’t informed at the time of booking

Quote from the company- the driver collects the items from the curb outside of your collection point. For collections which are classed as cargo shipments haulage companies cannot allow their drivers to enter the premises. (UK Law Apparently)

We live in flats surely there is a way to organise the pick up from the concierge or reception of the building.

No solutions were provided in this case, unsatisfactory sales services. We were only moving two luggage’s what if we had the move whole house are we suppose to stand on the curb with all our furniture?!

Second time using Yes2Ship for a transfer of residence. Excellent service from Sarah and the team. The airline cargo handling crew misplaced one carton and the Yes2Ship team went the extra mile to locate it and have it delivered to me. I’m really impressed.

wanted to give Phil Whittle a big shout out after Customs computer did not like my T1code.
I got a call from my haulier friday night at 7.30pm whilst i'm on the motorway travelling to London saying they had a big problem. I had nowhere to go , so I rang yes2ship office number, thankfully Phil answered it, who was straight on to it, he got it all sorted out for me - Thank you Phil & the unsung heroes from Yes2Ship you are truly amazing.

I needed an order of 2 pallets of books printed in China to be shipped to me. I had zero knowledge. I dealt with Phil in Yes2ship and had a perfect experience for shipping, clearing customs and delivering. Quite excellent service

Customs clearance took one day only and required minimum efforts from my side.

So after finding Yes2ship.com on google, I got in touch with them for shipping some personal effects from abroad to the UK. Oliver was very transparent and honest with all charges and fees, I was sent documentation and quotes of these charges and worked out myself and found them fair. I was able to contact Oliver at any time through emails, and phone calls and he was ever so helpful and open to help me as much as he could. It did help that I have some experience working in the logistics industry, the service was of a high standard and they also delivered my parcels on time to which I thank them for, and they were in good condition aswell. I would recommend yes2ship.com to anyone who need a clearing agent to import their goods be it commercial or personal.

This is a truncated summary of my interaction with this company - importing a car from Japan:
Yes2ship: Please confirm that you would like to proceed.
Me: I'd like a final quote please.
Yes2ship: Please find the attached quote, this does not include taxes and duties, T&Cs apply. We like to be upfront so there are no hidden charges.
(This email quote did not contain hidden charges of: +£10 to the terminal fee, £20 for a CHAPS fee, and £227 for a deferment fee that the shipping line charge £35 for - so £257 in total hidden charges). Plus they charged £45 agency fee on terminals when the shipping line quoted £10.
Me: Could I ask why all of these hidden charges were not on the initial quote but appeared on the invoice please?.
Yes2ship: As per our initial email and PDF’s, this is our deferment fee, which we charge on taxes and duties sent to HMRC.

Dealing with this company is like dealing with untrustworthy estate agents. They come across all professional and courteous, but they're out for your money. I was lucky that I had already ordered the car so they weren't able to mess with my paperwork as other people have stated on their reviews. Complaining is a waste of time. I intend to get cars on a regular basis from Japan, but companies like this are only interested in short-term money grubbing. The manager said they get multiple cars from Japan every week. You'd think there would be more positive reviews from all those clients. I think the specific negative reviews tell the true story.

When you ask a company for a final quote, you shouldn't be expected to sift through pages of professionally written T&Cs (which I did and still missed it) to find hidden charges. Specifically when they've said this is the final quote and there are none. But an email is a legal document, so you've agreed to a 'contract' legally and do you really want to be in a situation where your cargo is in port and you're tied up with legal issues?.

There's no ombudsman within this industry, and they belong to BIFA which is obviously not worth the paper it's printed on. If HMRC hadn't advised me badly on getting a shipping agent (with this agent on their list) I would have just stuck with the shipping line - Armacup - which is what I intend to do next time. In comparison Armacup's quote was: £212.50 and I paid Yes2ship £415.99. Still, judging from other reviews it could have been worse. And as I said - if they had access to my shipping documents - I've no doubt it would have been.

I can thoroughly recommend Yes2Ship. My experience was entirely positive. They were swift in response to queries and very patient with me as this was the first time that I have attempted to export anything. Particular thanks should go to Alison Beck.

Exceptionally good service from this company. I have used them a few times now for international shipping and they have given exemplary service throughout. Staff are courteous, friendly and very knowledgeable. I would not hesitate to recommend them and will most definitely use them again myself, if the need arises.

I have been working with YES2SHIP for close to 3 years. Throughout a very tough year of ongoing and what seems to be never ending challenges, YES2SHIP have always stayed on top of their game, provided an excellent service level and have been very helpful when its come to new EU document changes or anything else I need to know regarding the world of importing!

Absolutely dreadful service, obviously misquoted a job but then refused to tell us any information just kept fobbing us off, very poor.

if you make a mistake, admit it, try sort it out, burying head in the sand helps nothing.

For the last 30 years importing/exporting has been seamless in Europe. Introduced to YES2SHIP in June this year following 5 months of chaos following Brexit.
Handling all out customs clearance documents life is back to normal ( it never will be really !! ) - our vans are now able to deliver and collect throughout Europe in a smooth and efficient manner thanks to the team at YES2SHIP - great help from Reece, Sophie and Erin.

I recently hired these guys to help me with customs paperwork as I needed to pick up my items in storage in the UK and move it to Germany.
I was extremely stressed, trying to understand what I needed to do and then I came across these guys, and they were excellent. The took all of the stress away, walked me step by step through what was required, and sorted everything out on the UK and DE side.
Reece Upcraft and the rest of the team were nothing short of brilliant - I cannot recommend them highly enough and although I never want to move to the UK again, I would feel extremely confident using this company if I needed to and have already recommended them to a few people on Expat FB groups.
