I've been using Yes2Ship's customs clearance service since March 2016. Three years later I'm still a very happy customer. Mel handles my shipments and I personally think of her as Superwoman. Yes2ship have completely taken all the hassle out of customs clearance and delivery for me, which makes my life so much easier. Mel is very organised, super efficient and highly experienced. Low price high standard well organised
I have imported from China, had some problem with Trading standard but this company help me a lot to clear the goods and deal with HMRC demands as well. At one point i lost hope to get my goods back but Sarah Shore from yes to ship help me a lot to get the remaining goods as soon as possible to save warehouse charges. The young lady (Sarah Shore ) from shipping company support me till end to get my goods.
I really recommend this company for clearance and reasonable price.

I have just used yes2ship.com to send a parcel over to Australia. I have to say they were amazing and professional throughout the whole process. Charlie was exceptional the service that I have received was second to none, going above and beyond and coming in on his day off to make sure that my parcel was received and ready to go.

Phoned with the AWB no. and emailed the relevant documents.
Got all my goods delivered to my door the next day.

I organised for our personal belongings to be shipped from Melbourne to London Gateway. This was the first time I'd ever sent a container, so I didn't have a clue what needed to be done. It was self packed, so I had to arrange for customs clearance. I Googled a few places and Yes2Ship were the cheapest. Mel was so helpful. She even advised me when the container had changed ships without my knowledge and recommended I speak to the shipping line. The container cleared customs today and I'm very happy with the communications I had with Mel.

Yes2Ship did a fantastic job helping us out with the customs clearance. We moved from South Africa to the Isle of Man, and on very short notice Yes2Ship came to our aid. Mel in particular did a fantastic job - taking the time to answer hundreds of questions, providing all the information we needed and basically ensuring that we could just go to the freight terminal to pick up our belongings - all in all our processing time there was about 20mins. These guys made our move just that much easier!

Well, I had a pretty horrendous experience with this company. Note that Yes2Ship Limited is the same company as "CompareCargoRates.com" before their name change - so you should check out those reviews as well to get a fuller picture.

Basically, the company's business model is as follows:

1. They first provide you with what appears to be a reasonable quote for your shipment based upon your estimated or actual measurements, which you accept. There is no indication at this stage that the final volume they charge you for will be greater than the one you state.
2. They then collect your shipment once you have packaged it for them
3. They then tell you that your weight and volume are much greater than your original estimates or measurements, and invoice you significantly more than their original quotation* - in my case almost double.
4. They then hold your consignment to ransom until you pay them the amount that they ask for (in my case over 1100 pounds just to get my shipment back) before they release it.

*One way that they trick you here is that even if you provide accurate weight and volume ("total chargeable volume") measurements for your shipment, in their confirmation email containing your quote, they call these "Total _Approximate_ Shipment Weight" and "Total _Approximate_ Shipment Volume". Thus even after you confirm the booking based on their 'accurate quote', knowing the weight and/or volume of your shipment, once they have your property in their custody they increase these measurements in various ways, e.g. by adding the volume and weight due to addition of a pallet (which they exaggerate btw), and, where they feel they can get away with it, repackaging into a larger volume as a 'favour' to you. (Note that inefficient arrangement of items or use of an oversized pallet can do wonders for the final volume). Of course this significantly increases the cost, but now you are stuck because they have your possessions and you will have to pay them even if you want to cancel and have them returned to you. Of course those customers (particularly those with large shipments) who have no idea of exact weights and volumes, will generally be completely unaware how much they have been overcharged. They may even feel that they have received a good service and write positive reviews. Ignorance is bliss after all.

Note that the company uses the BIFA, IATA and FIATA logos on their websites and in their email correspondences and even claim to be full members on the Trustpilot website. I checked with BIFA and they are not members of this organisation and have been using their logo fraudulently, and presumably the others as well. The terms and conditions stated on their website are also copied and pasted from those of BIFA.

By the way, if you are looking for a more reputable freight forwarding company with a completely transparent pricing scheme, you could take a look at someone like Seven Seas Worldwide instead. I have used them a few times now without incident.
