Exceptional After-Sales Service (Customer Service)!
I recently had a problem with a handle on the inner bowl of my rice cooker. I contacted Yum Asia, and the customer service was incredibly quick and efficient.
Unfortunately, I made an error in my request, stating that I had the Sakura model when I actually own the Bamboo model. Yum Asia immediately sent me the replacement bowl, but obviously, it was the wrong size because of my mistake.
I contacted the team again to apologize and explain the situation. Once again, their response was exemplary. They handled my error with professionalism and kindness, and they immediately sent me the correct inner bowl for the Bamboo model.
This is a level of customer service you rarely see. They are not only fast, but they show great understanding and a genuine willingness to help, even when the mistake originates with the customer.
Their products are excellent, but their customer service is world-class. I recommend Yum Asia 100%!

I received what I ordered
I received what I ordered. I have tip for everyone better to buy rice cookers directly from Yum Asia instead of somewhere else because I received 2 broken bags of rice from Amazon's warehouse before.

Apprehensive at first but now we are happily impressed with the quality of rice produced by Fuji rice cooker. The low carb function is unusual but works well, My wife is diabetic and could never eat rice easily before but can do this easily.
Suspicious delivery info, nothing received
The courier DPD say they delivered my Yum-Asia product to my neighbour, but photo they provided shows my neighbour's door closed (no package visible), and they gave a false name (not my neighbour's name). My neighbour has always been great holding packages for me, I have no reason to suspect them - and due to the above, every reason to suspect the DPD guy. Yum-Asia say that because I agreed to it being delivered to my neighbour if I'm out, it's not their responsibility if I don't receive it. However, the DPD info - clearly my neighbour's door, but no package in photo, and false name - seems highly suspicious to me. Yum-Asia flatly refused any kind of refund or replacement. Hugely frustrating, I guess I'll head to the small claims court, but it's outrageous that Yum-Asia are so rigid and insensitive on this.

FAULTY ITEMS SOLD, COMPANY DOESN'T CARE
UPDATE TO YOUR REPLY: first you are misleading people by your comments. the exchange form 2 years ago was for the delayed timer set for 2hrs. I set it and it turned on straight away. You told me that if the timer is set for 2.5hrs or less the rice cooker turns on straight away. So i accepted your explanation and left it at that. As i only cook rice when i go shopping.
Secondly even if we agree that it was working 2 years ago, you admit that it isn't working now. So either way you sold me a faulty item.
Uk law requires appliances to last 6 years. Even if it developed a fault in those 2 years YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE.
It is not like i can damage the timer from misuse. I could understand refusing to fix a broken display, as that could be user damage. but a faulty timer is obviously a fault by manufacturer.
YOU ARE A DISHONEST COMPANY. AND THE 1 STAR REVIEWS ON AMAZON SHOW MANY EXAMPLES OF YOUR POOR QUALITY CONTROL AND SALE OF FAULTY ITEMS
UPDATE: If you buy this brands cooker, test every function. As i just found out the delayed timer doesn't work. When i asked them to remedy it, they refused. They sold a faulty item. I hadn't noticed as i am a single person and only cook rice once a week. So never had the need to use the delayed function till now.
who knows what other functions don't work. I won't be buying their brand anymore. Better off buying a rice cooker for a third of a the price. At least they will work.

Dangerous customer support
I purchase a rice cooker - Fuji UMAI Induction Heating IH Ceramic Rice Cooker (YUM-IH07) - and I was happy with it for close to 3 years.
Then the coating of the ceramic bowl started to peel off. I had been following the maintenance guide to the letter with moderate usage (~2 times per week). On the website, they claim that this bowl is "hard wearing" and "extremely durable". In my dictionary, that's not what extremely durable is.
I reached out to support to say that this was not expected for such an expensive item, showing pictures of the coating peeling off. Whatever is coming off is clearly not safe for consumption (it felt like a material close to plastic film with a copper colour on the outside). They came back to me saying that since my purchase was outside of the warranty period they wouldn't offer a replacement and that I could purchase another bowl - which one can consider bad customer support, but somewhat understandable. The worst part was that they also told me that I could keep using my current bowl and that it was safe to use. Again, I provided pictures of the coating that was coming off, and they told me that it's safe to use the bowl and have that stuff cooked into rice that I would then eat. I replied and asked to confirm if they were serious, just to give a second chance. They once again told me it was safe to use.
I think it's pretty clear that the advice of keeping using the bowl (in the state I described) is dangerous. It's irresponsible and could make someone, who would follow such advice, sick.

Yum Asia Support Team
The Yum Asia support team were fantastic about addressing an issue with my Oyu Instant Hot Water Dispenser. The unit stopped working after year but after checking for a few maintenance check the support team replaced it within a few days. The communication with the support agent, Louise, was fantastic. Communication was always prompt, clear, and direct.

Small issue with a product turned into a full on gaslighting session
Let me start by saying that over the bamboo rice cooker I have is really good, but what isn't is the attitude of the staff.
My unit wobbles a bit, I was told I could fix the issue by adjusting the back feet. Unfortunately, the feet don't hold up under their weight when doing that. What really got me though was that instead of there being even a small chance the unit has a minor wobble, it had to be my kitchen surface ( the unit wobbles on every surface I've tried so far).
I was told that if there was a problem with my unit, every single unit would have the same issue. I was sent an image showing a "wobble" test and again informed that the mold for the rice cooker has never changed.
We finished by agreeing that tolerance existed but still, it felt like an attempt to gaslight and if you have an issue with any products I would tell you to prepare for the same.

I received a manufacturers damaged item
I received a damaged item, looked like it had been refurbished ,there was a broken piece of the inside rim ,it was a terrible experience trying to get a refund from this company and customer service was abrupt , I had to keep taking loads of photos and being a pensioner ,I was not into all this ,I just wanted my money back , they even had me take the heavy machine back to the Asda store instead of picking it up at my house as a goodwill gesture , appalled, that's all I can say ,not to trust good reviews on items as it doesn't mean anything , bad experience for me , I only can say I am buying British made items from now on , quality is if the utmost importance !

I asked for a refund for the delievery…
I requested a refund for the delivery fee because I had to drive a long distance to the GLS warehouse as YumAsia had written the wrong recipient address.
And of course you did the wrong address because I have the pictures! I will send you that on the email!!!

Two failures on same model - no goodwill, rigid warranty response
I’ve now had two YumAsia Fuji (YUM-IH07) units fail on me. The first developed a display fault not long after purchase and was replaced. The second - the replacement unit - has now failed too, with a cracked bowl that caused damage to the heating element and made it unsafe to use (smoke was billowing out of it!).
I contacted YumAsia with photos and explained the full situation, including that the cooker was very lightly used and had been in storage for over a year during a house move. I approached them calmly and in good faith, hoping that after two faulty units, they might offer a goodwill gesture or replacement. What I got instead was a rigid policy response based purely on the unit being outside the fixed 2-year warranty.
They made it clear that they cannot verify how a product has been used, so they won’t consider any context - no matter how carefully it’s been treated or how many issues you've had. The most frustrating part is that they requested photos and details over the course of a week, only to fall back on warranty terms without any real acknowledgement of the bigger picture. If their answer was always going to be no, they could have saved everyone the time.
I recommended this product to others, including family, but after experiencing two serious faults in the same model and a completely inflexible support approach, I wouldn’t buy from YumAsia again.

Great customer service
I ordered the Panda rice cooker after reading a good review online. The rice cooker arrived, but it was broken in transit. I made contact and it was replaced in three days, without any drama. Which is what you want.
And it makes great rice, so I'm a happy panda.
The bundle pack was good value
The bundle pack was good value. I think they only sell them on Yum Asia but they are the best value around with everything needed to cook perfect rice. I never got good results with Tilda rice but with the hom mali white rice it's sublime.
Rice cookers that do the job better…
Rice cookers that do the job better than the rest. We've been using yumasia rice cookers for 8 years now without fail. Onto our second one called Hotaru and it's incredible.
No reply to product issue. Disappointing customer service.
I have contacted Yum Asia on 2 x separate occasions and not received any reply despite their website confirming that I should receive a reply within 24 hrs.
I recently bought their rice cooker on Amazon and used it for the second use to make porridge. Following the instructions exactly, I was extremely shocked to find porridge was coming out of the steam vent!! I am very disappointment and have lost faith in the product and company, not for only the experience with the product but also for the lack of reply on both occasions.
Edit - I response to your reply, it was yourselves that I contacted and received an automated response stating you would reply within 24 hrs. I have a screenshot picture of this with your website included.
Edit -
You did reply — eventually found your emails in my spam. But odd that your Trustpilot reply claims I never contacted you or that your website doesn’t send auto-responses… when it clearly did.
Also, I said soft water, not very soft — no need to exaggerate. A heads-up in your manual could’ve saved us both the trouble.

Poor quality products and bad customer service
I purchased a hot water dispenser two years and 7 months ago and it was broken recently with no hot water coming out. The product quality is questionable with such short lifespans of normal daily usage. The more frustrating part is that the customer service offered no repair and no solution on the problem. Just let the customer feel bad and go away to other brands.
Update:
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality and last a reasonable length of time. This hot water dispenser costed £120 with lifespan less than 3 years. I contacted the customer service again with this argument but they just ignored me.
Also from their reply to this review, it is obvious that they won’t care about customers and won’t even care about the law. They offer no resolution to help their customers to remain confident on continually using their products. Not to mention that the product itself is way overprice as you can find other similar hot water dispensers in a cheaper price.

Unable to order replacement
Refused to supply replacement ceramic bowl as I was unable to supply original order number. The markings had already come off after just 18 months. It is an interesting model to build barriers that stop customers buying from you. If I knew it would so difficult to get a simple replacement part I would have never bought it.
Review of the company and web, not a product
I decided to order a product on the Yum Asia website instead of the marketplace websites and... first impressions are not great.
Amex doesn't seem to be accepted, but I got over that quickly. Delivery was free, and I must say it was very quick. Kudos.
Now, the product came and looked like a return already, with the box and wraps not having the expected factory finish.
So, I attempted to log an issue on the web form, but after completing it, I never got an automated email confirmation or the website confirmation. I attempted again and carefully monitored if the website would have a pop-up or anything - but still nothing and still no confirmation email. So for the third attempt, just to be sure, I have sent an email. At this point, I got so stressed that I decided I didn't want an exchange but a refund.
And it's only now, a bit late as I should have checked it when purchasing - their return site has a lot of disclaimers.
Because of the reputation and friends’ recommendation, I decided to stick with the brand, but I'll get it from an established marketplace seller who has a good and tested returns policy. But I'm also getting a bigger model.
I will update this review and rating after I hear back from them.
