Zelle is garbage

Zelle is garbage. I wish people would use Venmo. It works every time. When I go to use zelle with a new person, it stops payment and you have to call your bank to verify the account. So if you try to make a payment outside if banking hours your payment gets held up. I am doing a renovation on a house that is in another state so I can’t pay these people with checks and independent contractors don’t take credit cards. Why do they bother texting you a security code if they aren’t going to verify you anyway? Everyone should dump zelle and get Venmo.

Bad tech and service.

Bad tech and service.

It's impossible to get ahold of anyone, it's impossible to add an email to an account if someone sent you money to an email not linked to your bank. When you DO talk to someone, they are patently unhelpful. Horrific. Venmo / Apple Pay are SO MUCH BETTER.

This organization is a nightmare

This organization is a nightmare. Deleted my account and account access so I could not make any payments with zero notification. Denied everything and said when I updated my phone I removed my own access.

Issues happen but the customer service rep, Jenni was rude and condescending and made the whole process and phone call so much worse than it needed to be.

Avoid at ALL COSTS.

$1000 later

Terrible spent 2 hours on the phone with a “Mike Williams” he said there was a hold on the account and $100 would be sent to me that needed to be refunded asap. I sent this money and he said he never got it. Next he said $200 needed to be sent to be verified, he started getting pushy and telling me that I already sent $100 and that was the only was to get it back. $200 was sent then he said I needed to send $400 to get government approval. He said it would all be refunded once I sent the $400. This was all to get a business account set up! DO NOT FALL FOR IT

Wow what a wild scam ride.

Talked to the biggest foreign ace hole on the planet. I would NEVER ever use it again. DO NOT USE THIS! It was so bad the refund didn't didn't work so they wanted us to use venmo or apply pay to refund the extra 500 this person supposedly sent. Turns out it was per Regions Bank a total scam. Zelle is nothing but a scam service.

Crooks

Charged me 3 times of 30 dollars to cancel a dollar. When it was my 1st time trying this app and not understanding all functions and no where did it say I would be charged 30 dollars to cancel a transfer of money. When I was just testing to see if I could do it with my friend. And when I called to get explanation.
Rep said that fee is built in and nothing she could do. No exceptions Horrible service and Horrible app,,,,do not recommended.

Can never send my Dad money now

I attempted to send my Dad money using his email and phone number.

Instead Zelle put his contact on an indefinite hold and told me there is nothing that I can do about it.

So no I can never send my Dad money using Zelle. No appeal process to get the hold removed. Absolutely insane.

It sucks

It sucks. It does not have enough functionality to edit your own information in a timely matter. Got stuck waiting for a confirmation code that never arrived. Would give it 0 stars if I could.
