Always pay by Credit Card
Booked accommodation in Oct 25 for a stay in Feb 26. Simple no issues with booking. We were advised that we had to use to another house - no issues still within the locale.
Arrived at house at 6.30pm on a very wet & cold evening to find no key in lock box. After waiting for 1/2 hour on the phone finally spoke to a lovely lady who would find out what was wrong. Phoned me about an hour later to tell me the key was in another lock box but I expressed my confusion as all other lock boxes were for other properties?? She then said she would try to find me other accommodation. Confirmed it needed to be in the same Vicinity as we were attended a family wedding in the area.
At 8.50pm called the operator to be told they were still looking for other accommodation! At that point I cancelled the booking as I needed to get my family into a place to sleep.
Spoke to the company after the weekend asking for my refund & expressing my disappointment. Was told that my deposit would take 10 to 15 working days! Contacted CEO, Dale Smith, via email expressing my frustration with the whole process. No reply!
Eventually, I contacted my credit card, American Express, who put the payments into dispute & credited my account the next day- that is what I call service!
I have not heard actual what happened to my booking, any form of apology or any compensation as I had to book a hotel at extra cost for my stay.
This whole debacle marred what should have been a fabulous family celebration!
Will not use this company ever again!
