Excellent value

Had several plates purchased from ProPlates. The last set were ordered on the Monday and delivered on Saturday. Bearing in mind it was free postage 6 days is perfectly acceptable. When you take into account the prices, including personal design, ProPlates gives exceptioal value. Some companies charge twice the price and even then charge for delivery on top

Avoid ‘promotions’

Temu is one big scam. Firstly, don’t accept a discount and £10 coupon on an item you want to return. The £10 is never deducted from any future order. If you want to return an item, then return it without any discount/ free coupon scam.
Secondly, don’t be drawn in by the three 0.01 promotion. The first 2 items come up as expected. However, to get the 3rd. Item you never reach the ‘compulsory’ target, All it does is encourage you to purchase more and more items that you don’t really want.
Temu should be avoided and investigated for their underhanded practices.

Very professional company

Excellent company to purchase from. Reasonable prices plus professional and courteous service.JJ in the trade department couldn’t be faulted with her very helpful attitude. Calls returned quickly, unlike a particular bathroom company based in Bradford.

Abysmal company

Abysmal company. Very quick at taking payment and order and that’s where the professionalism ends. Although they say items dispatched within a couple of days, I doubt that they don’t keep them in stock but wait until they get the order and then obtain the item from the manufacturer.
They are impossible to contact by phone and they totally ignore e-mails.
Getting a refund for cancelled items due to their excessive delivery times is an ordeal in itself.
There are far more professional and reliable companies out there so don’t waste time and money on this bunch of totally inept cowboys.

Beware of ‘special offers’

The whole company is one big scam. Whereas the items themselves are reasonably priced, the ‘special offers’ are either non existent or so confusing that it is impossible to take the ‘offers’ up.
The 3 x items for 1p is a particular scam. After selecting your choice you then purchase items to the value of £15 to get your 1p items.
After purchasing goods to the value of £15 you then go to the checkout.
It is only following payment and delivery that you find the 1p items are not included.
This scam has happened on three occasions. Needless to say I shall not be taking Temu up on any more of their 1p ‘special offers’

The lame duck side of Lloyds

The lame duck side of Lloyds, Whereas Lloyds appear fairly efficient in dealing with queries the same is certainly not true regarding the Halifax.
All I wanted to do was close an account that had, I believe, zero balance. I spent 2 hours both online and on the telephone attempting to close an account. Coupled to the ridiculous online ‘jigsaw’ security check that doesn’t work, I was passed from dept after dept and back again. After 2 hours and no progress whatsoever, I gave up. The red tape and security checks by the Halifax are completely ludicrous and way over the top. Even more so when the checks don’t work and several hours lost. Not to be recommended.

Special offer prices are a big scam

Temu are still offering special offers at bargain prices with the proviso that you purchase goods for a certain value.
However, the special offer items are never included in the order. Not only that, an order confirmation is never sent to your e-mail leaving it impossible to check your order. They even give you the option of using a temporary e-mail. Once again, they don’t send confirmation to this one either

Complete waste of time. Sent two texts on their contact form. Were not received. I then phoned, gave the details of my requirements and was told I would be contacted with a quotation. The quotation never came. Save time and purchase from a professional and reliable company and don’t bother with this inept outfit

Still the number 1 con merchants

Still the number 1 con merchants. Offer you £170 credit back for minimum orders, unfortunately, you never get to the number of coins required because it doesn’t matter what you order it keeps saying you still ‘only’ need a few more coins. You never appear to reach the number of coins required. It’s only the carrot to entice you into more purchases

Not as good value as they would have you believe

Whilst some items are reasonable value, this company entices extra, not really necessary purchases by promoting special offers, vouchers, credits, coins etc.
However, they make the offers completely inaccessible by making the offers as confusing as they could be.
This results in extra purchases being made at no reduction in price. By and large it is a bit of a con. Amazon and E-Bay purchases are far simpler and straightforward.

Abysmal tracking. Yodel have had my parcel for the past 5 days with no movement on their tracking system. Either the parcel has sat at Hayes for the past several days or their website tracking requires work. Which ever reason, not a good advertisement for Yodel

A good percentage taken in gratuities

A good percentage taken in gratuities. Be very careful with the amount you donate. A ‘tip’ going to Just Giving is added to your donation. This is not made clear until your transaction has gone through. Whilst the basic idea may be a worthwhile cause, this added expense is not a good reflection on Just Giving. You would be better off donating the full donation amount to the persons concerned

Change of view

In the past I have been very disillusioned with the EP self levelling system. It was very hit and miss. However, since the involvement of EP personnel the system now appears to be operating as it should.
If the self levelling continues working correctly then I shall have to change my previous negative views, thanks to the service given by EP employees.

Local florists NOT used

They advertise that they use local florists to ensure that the flower delivery is cut to a minimum resulting in fresher flowers.
They don’t. The flowers start their journey halfway across the country and obviously pass through several pairs of hands.
The bouquet delivered does not resemble the online photo, neither in quality nor quantity. Would not use again

Query totally ignored by Coachman

Coachman Laser Xcel very good apart from minor issues. Wall jointing tape peeling and untidy. Rubber connecting towel radiator with heating pipes untidy, all it required was a detachable cover.
The main issue is that despite filling the online form to contact Coachman several months ago, I am still waiting for a response. Not a very professional attitude.
