SHOCKED I had GREAT service

I can’t believe how bad the reviews are on this company I’m actually in shock. I’m so grateful that I didn’t experience the service that most have. It looks like I was one of the lucky ones. I broke down on the way back from Reading I phoned ActionCall and within 40 minutes someone was with me. The car couldn’t be fixed so the car was recovered back to a garage near where I live, which was just over an hour away. We dropped the car to my local garage and then I got dropped home. The service I received was excellent

Scam artists. AVOID

What a bunch of thieves. My breakdown cover was due to renew on the 24th of August. I got my auto-renewal through on the 17th August and I replied on the 20th saying I don't need it and to refund me.

They tried arguing that I was not in the 14-day cooling-off period because they had sent me an email with a link to my yet to be renewed new policy documents three weeks earlier (What the....f).

Also, they said my contract for 2019/2020 has been entered in 2018 when I originally took out the first years cover. WHAT THE F!??

Then they eventually refunded me out of "goodwill" MINUS a £9 cancellation fee. My cover was £26. That's nearly 33%!!!

They are absolutel scammers. An abhorrent company. Absolutely do not use this company for anything.

They tried their best to avoid…

They tried their best to avoid 'paying'. I hit a stone on the way and had a flat tyre. I called them and informed that my car was not equipped with a back up tyre(Ford Smax). And they asked me whether I had a pump, I told them none. It doesn't matter whether I have a pump or not because I hit the stone (tyre was broken). Then they rejected to help. poor company. never use it.

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs, may appear cheap but with their unfair practices it will cost you a lot more. Take note of the 90%+ 1 star ratings which in my opinion would be zero stars if it were an option. Spend a few more pounds at a reputable provider you can thank me later.

Customer service not helpful or polite/unacceptable fees

Customer service not helpful or polite. Policy renewed automatically and rang 5 days before policy starts. Wanted to cancel but told there would be a £8.99 cancellation fee as payment had already been taken even though policy had not begun. Asked them to take off auto renew for the next year and said can't be done. Will definitely avoid next year and warn others to do the same. Should have looked at the reviews last year and as these don't lie. Avoid this company.

This company is a joke

This company is a joke, like most people on here I have paid for a full years cover but when I find to tell them I have changed my vehicle they told me I couldn't move the policy to another vehicle.
I said ok can I cancel and was told yes but the is a £9 fee to cancel.
I told the advicer I have paid in full and have only half way through the cover so way should I pay more to cancel it doesn't make sence. IThe advicer was rude and very unhelpful. I could understand the fee is I was paying by installment?

Scam and appalling customer service!

Contacted customer services as they had automatically renewed without my permission. Appalling customer service, bad attitude and no manners. The agent I spoke to told me I had agreed to this from an email I had not received. I tried to explain that I had not received said email however they were adamant that I had and then went on to charge me £9 as a “good will gesture”. This was given to me for being out of my cooling off period. Scammers- avoid at all costs

Avoid getting from them anything

Avoid getting from them anything. They know only how to charge for renews without client permission , cancellation etc. Also they will not issue refund after 14 days of purchase and will charge for cancelling as well.

Appalling customer service

Appalling customer service. Set auto-renew without asking for permission, then hit you with cancellation charges before the breakdown cover to be provided is actually due to start, by claiming that since you have paid the policy is already active. Completely agree with the other reviewers - scammers, more than happy to take your £8.99 cancellation fee at the small price of a bad review!

Avoid at all costs!

I gave this useless company a 1 star rating on the 21st October 2018 when I tried to use the service when I broke down and then found, I had still not been registered three months after buying the policy . On the 22nd June 2019 I requested my policy be cancelled and not auto renewed before the current policy expired on the 26th June 2019. I still was hit with the cancellation fee and three e-mails latter on the 8th July 2018 have not managed to cancel the policy due to the inept customer support.

Fraudulent practices coupled with vile customer services.
Spencer says the supervisor is busy, not obligated to provide you with complaints procedure.
Chelsea says the supervisor is busy. And the fee is now £8.99. This is 6 days before policy is even due to start!

Like many others on here i was caught out by their automatic renewal system so was charged for something i didn't want. they have agreed to refund me minus the 6.99 cancellation fee. they claim i was emailed a reminder - i definitely didn't receive one. I also spoke to Chelsea so i'm guessing there are only a handful of people working here. They are scammers - avoid at all costs.

AVOID - Appalling customer service - unhelpful - would say anything not to attend

Appalling customer service. They will try to dig out a reason not to attend to your breakdown. Purely unhelpful with very little intention of assisting. Chris supposedly the supervisor said the duty manager is not available to take a call, of course he is. AVOID

Hi Umar!

Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, you were making a claim on a different vehicle to the one you had insured on the policy. Assistance was still offered to yourself, but it could not have been covered under the insurance.

Appalling company!

Appalling company. I've had this breakdown policy for 28 days so far. I brought a new vehicle and rang them to change to the vehicle to the new one. They said I cannot change it and that I would need to take a new policy out which is pretty stupid considering it had not even been 30 days and I have not used the policy. So as I have sold the old car I asked if they could cancel the policy as I will no longer have the car and then I was told there is a cancellation fee, for a car that I no longer have! What a waste of money I've just spent with this company for a policy they've told me I cannot cancel or update and cannot use as I no longer have the car either! What a joke.
