Just a scam calling operation

{'ve been called 24 times by someone purporting to be reliable appliances UK. The caller is always someone with a strong Chinese accent , and they always pit the phone down as soon as i ask them where they are based. Clearly this is just a scam.

PS - sadly trust pilot do not allow for a rating of minus 5!

An absolute disgrace

My father took out a insurance of £7.99 per month an a washing machine, he has been in a care home since March 2020 and I have continuously tried to cancel this direct debit to no avail. in fact they have doubled the amount to £14.99 . No one is answering the phones I have left messages but no one has returned them . This is disgraceful they are taking advantage of an elderly man who is unable to control his money at the moment. As I am not power of attorney the bank will not deal with me so now he is paying £14.99 for nothing I'm at a loss as what to do. Trying to email comes up as a warning

As a realtor I deal with a lot of…

As a realtor I deal with a lot of repair companies. This company is unfriendly, poor customer service and flat out rude. I called for my senior client and just needed the igniter for a burner on gas range. The receptionist said we don't do that call the gas co. I explained it was the built in lighter that isn't and wanted to make sure this was something they did do. She refused to ask a technician or have one call me. She said I had to pay $89.95 to find out if that was something they do. It was a simple request. She was so rude and uncaring about my seniors. CALL ANOTHER COMPANY that values your business. Maybe she saved me from being scammed like the otehr reviews.

Horrible

Horrible, horrible company, just like the other reviewers have said. First, the company could not give me a cost range to replace a broken belt on a Kenmore dryer (the broken belt was in my hand) even though they are an "appliance" repairer. Then, when the technician arrived, he was irritated because there was no parking on my street. I think he wanted me to move my car so he could park in the driveway. Then he looked at the broken belt in my hand and gave me a $286 estimate to repair it. Of course after I said no, since I could get a pretty good used dryer on craigslist for $140, he said I owed him $70 (even though the service charge was $69.95). He literally was not there for more than 2 minutes. Total rip off. Like another reviewer said, I wish I had researched this company more but I had no idea it would be close to $300 to put in a new (probably $10) belt. Actually, I should have gone with my gut after I talked to the scheduler on the phone -- all horrible from the first phone call until the "repairman" got back in his truck. What I think they are doing is making their money on the service calls. Hey, $70 for 2 minutes of "work," without even getting dirty. This is their gimick: give an extremely high estimate knowing the customer will not go for it, but collect those $70 charges all day. To say it again, total rip off.

Had a tech come who failed to…

Had a tech come who failed to acknowledge our main issue which was no water flow. He could not diagnose nor fix and suggested other fixes but not the main fix. I contacted the company to let them know that I shouldn't be charged if he was unable to fix the item that needed repair. The woman was extremely rude and not understanding what so ever and said if a repair cannot be made then it is still $69.95. Just have to throw the .95 in there? I asked her to please waive it she would not and I asked if I should contact my credit card provider and she said I could do whatever I liked. Save your money and go to a company with some class. The tech basically told us to buy a brand new fridge. Hopefully your service fee was worth losing a future client.

These guys are crooks plan and simple

These guys are crooks plan and simple! Not only did I wait two days for them to come, they never showed up the first day, said they were over extended on appointments. Jose finally showed up on the second scheduled appt late of course. I called them to fix a dial on my used washer. He quoted me $328! I said forget it. I asked him to quote me on a new furnace - another over the top amount, $4,000 - getting it done for $3,400. He proceeded to charge me $70 for service call to do nothing but quote outrageous prices! Its my fault for not reading the reviews on these guys - they are absolutely terrible - never use them. They lore people in on their $25 discount on services - what a joke!!

The service call was terrible

The service call was terrible. He was grumpy and his accent was so strong we could barely understand him. He told us our washing machine was not broken though it is. He told us we needed a new igniter for the oven but my husband discovered later that just some wires were disconnected. He was rude to me over the phone. He actually barked at both me and my husband. We didn’t use him and paid the $69 house call fee and we’re glad to see him go.

This review should serve as a warning…

This review should serve as a warning to anyone considering using this company.

My $900 Whirlpool dishwasher got water into the door (Don't ask how, lol) and destroyed my main dishwasher circuit control board. I found a circuit board on Ebay and replaced it. It still didn't work so I decided to leave it to the professionals.

I called Reliable Appliance Service because they are a family owned and operated business in my community. The telephone staff was pleasant and stated they could get a repairman to my house by 8 o'clock. They eventually canceled that evening. The next day a fat Armenian guy by the name of Darius came to my house at about noon. I took him into the kitchen and explained the problem and what I did to attempt a fix it. He immediately said it was the control board but that I had put in the wrong board. Keep in mind he hasn't even touched the dishwasher yet. He asked me what the model number on the dishwasher was and I told him I wasn't sure and the label with the info is no longer on the tub. He immediately told me there was nothing he could do to help me. I asked him what the correct part number would be and he stated, "I don't know the model number, there is nothing I can do for you." I asked him, "If you can't help me because you don't know the model number, then how do you know I put the wrong board in?" He again stated he could not help me. At this point, has been here less than 5 minutes and still has not touched the dishwasher.

His next statement killed me. "That will be $70.00 for the service call. I showed up!" My son was standing in the dining room watching or I would have tossed him out of my house. I decided to pay the $70 and take it up with their management. I then called a woman at their office and she gave me all the right answers. She would have his supervisor call me to discuss the issue. Guess what? No one ever called!

Within 15 minutes of "Darius" leaving, I was able to speak to Whirlpool and they confirmed my Model and Part number. Turns out it wasn't that difficult.

USE THIS COMPANY AS LAST RESORT ONLY!!!!!

Service tech showed up

Service tech showed up, quoted price of control board that was twice the cost as shown in OEM parts suppliers sites. Said he'd call back when pricing was figured out. No call back.

My wife has repeatedly called to speak with management, and each time she was told that the matter is being addressed by their management, and she would get a call back very soon. After over 2wks, no call back, no info on the repair work and parts. So basically, they make their money on the service call, and if convenient for THEM, they actually do some work.

Update: Now that ive logged a complaint on Trustpilot, their PR manager wants to talk to me. Certainly hasnt wanted to talk with us before the complaint was logged.

my mothers policy…

my mother took out the policy in June,up to now she has not received any paperwork. I have emailed the company twice and have had no response, also did the online call and was told it would be emailed over to me that day, still haven`t received a week later. the phone number that is available always failed. I am worried that if anything happens to my mothers appliances she will not be able to get it repaired.

AVOID at all costs!

I called Reliable because my washer was dripping water inside the drum. The Reliable repairman came out the next day. I showed him what was happening and went back in the other room to keep social distancing. He came out about 5 minutes later and told me that I needed a new hose and a new pump. I said okay. He didn't have any parts so he said he would return the following day The next morning I had a text from the Reliable repairman in which he stated that he didn't have the parts for my fridge but he would tell me where to get them. I called the main office and talked to a woman who sounded uninterested in what I was telling her. She had no info or insight to give me. I thought about it, I decided I didn't want Reliable fixing my WASHER so I called Reliable's repairman and cancelled the appointment. I called another company and when that repairman came out, I explained to him the problem and what the Reliable repairman had told me what I needed. After he got into the machine, he told me that there was nothing wrong with the hose and there was nothing wrong with the pump. What I needed was a water valve, an $87.00 part. Reliable's repairman was going to charge me $229.00 for something that I didn't need. Washer was repaired by second repairman and works like new.
AVOID this company as they are crooks!
Update: after receiving a response from customer care, I tried both numbers. The first number I called just rang and rang and then went dead. I called the mobile number and got the voice mail of the gentleman from Customer care. Since his voice mail stated he was with some other company, I did not leave my number as I do not want it "out there " I will reach out again.

They are NOT RELIABLE!!! Avoid this company.

We had Reliable come out to repair our Samsung dryer. Eddie spent all of 5 mins, opened the dryer, spun the drum, turned some knobs, then quoted $800 for a new mother board. I paid the fee. Thought that was crazy. Had Samsung come out and they fixed it for about $100 in parts. Called to let Reliable know Eddie made mistake on his diagnosis, and all dude on the phone could say was that they stand by their technicians. I told the guy obviously Eddie was wrong since I now have a working dryer and replaced $100 worth of parts. Dude still said they stand by technician. Asked for a supervisor, and was told none were there.

Check reviews on-line and BBB. This was not an isolated incident. This is pretty much how they operate. DO NOT USE this company.
