We just booked a hotel 3 days ago for…

We just booked a hotel 3 days ago for the dates, June 10 - 11. We confirmed the booking dates and when we paid with the credit card and received the confirmation email, they had changed the dates to 6 days later. We cannot cancel the reservation without loosing $50. This has happened once before using Bedfinder. We thought it was our mistake but NOT this time. It is a scam!! Very upset!!!

Best rates

Best rates by a long shot. Most sites are within a few dollars of each other. Bedfinder put me in the same great hotel at 30 percent cheaper. Every penny counts when you’re on vacation.

Clarify currency quoted

We were excited at first to think that we had found such a good price for our accommodations. We had searched your website to find what currency was being quoted and could not find any indication. So we assumed that since we had found you through a Canadian link that the prices were being quoted in Canadian dollars. Wrong!
You need to clarify on your website that you are quoting in U.S. dollars. It makes a huge difference to people on a budget! We hope there will not be any other surprises with our booking.

We are sorry to hear about your experience, but we would like to assure you, that all the offers on our website on the Canadian market are displayed in the Canadian dollars. The CAD abbreviation is displayed before the amount of your booking on the booking form.

We have reviewed your booking in our system and found out that it was made via Trivago USA, so that is the reason why the prices were displayed in US dollars.

When I tried to confirm my booking

When I tried to confirm my booking, I got the message that my credit card transaction hadn't gone through, but without any further explanation. I tried a second credit card, same problem. I tried several more times, then called the phone number given. That person said he couldn't complete the booking and urged me to contact my bank (issuer of both credit cards) because bedfinder is a foreign entity. This was all very cumbersome. If I'd known ahead of time that bedfinder is a foreign (non-USA-based company), I could have avoided all this trouble by giving my bank a heads-up about an unusual transaction.

Why am I being charged for the stay…

Why am I being charged for the stay before I got there, plus what isa standard room. I hope I am not charged again when I leave on the 17th. I have never seen this before.

Found bedfinder through trivago and…

Found bedfinder through trivago and their price was cheaper by almost $200 then any of the other websites I searched. I called their customer service # twice which is 24 hours and both times the people who I spoke to were very helpful.

Bedfinder definitely had the lowest price when it came to booking a hotel room. Here were its downsides:
1) The customer has to pay for the hotel upfront.
2) The customer does not have the ability to pick what type of bed they want (as far as I could tell).
3) The customer does not have the ability to make any special requests for their room (such as a crib, as far as I could tell).
4) It takes Bedfinder three days to transmit your reservation info to the hotel where you plan to stay.

As you have mentioned, we provide the best offers, and this is the reason the customer not always can choose the room type or make any special requests for their room, as well as all services should be paid in advance, to guarantee the booking.

We are the third part booking platform and it really takes us three days to transmit the reservation info to the hotel.

But despite all this issues, we hope you will enjoy your stay!

Got to the hotel and they had no record of my reservation. Had to pay what they asked. Good thing I’m a Hilton member.
