We love visiting London and each we discover new interesting locations to visit but it’s getting more difficult to find unusual locations to visit.
My wife found this book - Secret London by Copper & Elm Ltd so she bought it for me for my birthday.
When I first saw it I thought brilliant as I flicked through it, so many unknown locations to explore. Then I sat down and started to read it properly. I was quite shocked to find I couldn’t read the text it was so small. The book shows a full page picture on one side with a location description on the other side. Only problem was the description text is so small it was unreadable and had to use a magnifier to assist my reading glasses which is very practical.
I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF I COULD PURELY BECAUSE THE TEXT IS CONFINED TO 20% OF THE PAGE THE OTHER 80% WAS JUST BLANK.

UTTER CRAP DESIGN AND TEXT LAYOUT. A PONCY DESIGNER WITH PRACTICAL COMMON SENSE THOUGHT IN THEIR HEAD!!!!!!!!

Further update on my previous review. I have checked with Royal Mail and the book was returned to the address on the website but 15 days on still not response and no refund. No way to contact by phone and no response to 5 emails or follow up after posting poor reviews. They obviously don’t care about customer service. My advice - stay away.

I purchased Secret England and Secret London for my parents and in laws hoping that they would give them ideas for days out and adventures as they are all retired. They all thought that places featured will make a great jumping off point for visits.  Everyone agreed about how beautiful the books are too.
Customer service was fantastic. All up highly recommend.

I ordered a book as a gift just before Christmas & it arrived in time. It looked very high quality.

I couldn’t resist the initial offer and was very pleased with the quality and usefulness of all three books. Sadly I didn’t check the postal address when I completed the order and it headed off to a relative whose address remained on file from an earlier order. I immediately contacted the company and despite the confusion into which I threw everyone, the books very efficiently diverted at a very busy time. A very approachable and human company. Would definitely use again

The Secret England book is beautifully illustrated and certainly provides food for thought about exploring new places. There is so much to see in our beautiful country and this book reminds you of that fact. Well done.

I ordered Secret England as a Christmas gift. It arrived promptly in a busy period unlike other gifts I ordered from other companies. Great book and I will be ordering more in the future.

Bought all three books as a gift and they are brilliant. Customer service I received when the courier damaged the first ones was outstanding. Harry was super helpful and ensured I had a new set in time for Christmas. No mean feat as I only had them delivered the weekend before! Looking forward to more Best of British products. I ordered a book as a Christmas gift. It arrived in good time and Customer Services even checked I'd received it, just to make sure. This made me feel valued as a customer. Would highly recommend.

This is the best firm to deal with. They make ordering easy, keep you up to date re delivery, delivery was unproblematic, and this is the first firm ever to have followed up to make sure everything was OK - it was. The product looks beautiful but since it is a present I can't comment on how it will be received - I'll do that after Xmas. A highly recommended firm.

I would like to leave 0 stars! The book I ordered and paid for was delivered to the wrong address which the courier company accepted.
I have e-mailed 6 times over the last 2 weeks to ask for the company's help as this was a Christmas present to date they have not responded to any e-mails,
No apology, no replacement, in fact not even an acknowledgement although they have my money in their account! Appalling customer service so disappointed!!

Very quick service and follow-up email to check delivery was in order. Books are for a present but after a quick peek they look informative and good quality. Would order from this company again.

I purchased 2 of these books. Secret London which is a gift and Secret England. They arrived quickly and the photography is beautiful. As the London book is a gift I haven’t looked through it as want it to be pristine. However extremely disappointed with the secret England book. None of the places are sorted into order, there isn’t a chapter on say, the midlands. The places in the book are also not secret but well known tourist places. I’ll give an example. I live in York, a huge tourist city and the only mention in the book is The Shambles, a street crowded with tourists and by no means secret. That’s it, York doesn’t get another mention. This book is only suitable for foreign visitors who have done no research on our country. My only hope is the London book is better which is why it got more than 1 star. Don’t waste your money, mine will be finding its way to the charity shop.

Delivered on time and perfect condition. The book looks great but I bought it as a present so can’t look in it too much. It does look really interesting - think I’ll buy one for myself!

I saw the Secret London book advertised on Facebook. It is produced by a small company and is only available online. I like to support independent businesses so ordered it. It was delivered quickly as promised and it looks great.

Customer service was 5/5, with a follow up from Poppy to check it had arrived. Co founder Harry also emailed to say hi.

It’s a Christmas present for my husband which he’ll love. We have lived in London for over 40 years but look forward to visiting some places we’ve never been. Recommended as a present which keeps on giving throughout the year!

Really helpful company I’d ordered the wrong one we ordered the other one last year. One text and the order was changed and the book arrived in a couple of days. Good looking book which will provide some good ideas of places to visit
