Ordered a set of wheels for my rowing…

Ordered a set of wheels for my rowing machine. When the order arrived, one wheel was bigger than the others, and one had a defect. I called Body Sculpture, all very nice at first, although did say they had never had a problem before. Another set of wheels was sent out, this time completely wrong. When I called to say they were the wrong wheels and do not fit my machine, I was told they had spoken to Steve in the parts department and that the wheels will fit my machine🙄 (they do not). They are nothing like the wheels that fit my rowing machine (but what do I know). The situation turned into a pathetic unhelpful rather hostile tone, in which I was made to feel like the guilty party (All I wanted was a set of 4 wheels for my rowing machine). Not to keep having to email pictures as proof and telephone calls back and forth to be spoken to like I was a fool.
I was originally told they had lots of wheels, now I'm being told they don't have any🤔(strange that). I wanted to write a complaint because I was so disappointed with the outcome. But I think it will go to the same people, so what's the point. I wonder if they are part of the actual company or are just staff. What a let down.

A little patience goes a long way

Ordered this on 8th April but wasn't sure if order had been processed as didn't receive confirmation. Nichola in Customer Service was super helpful and friendly and trainer arrived earlier this week. No great problems to assemble and although only a couple of days into using it think it's perfect for a complete novice like myself. Really enjoying it. Thank you.

No Communication / No order

Order a bench on the 31st of March - waited the recommended 3-5 working days and didn’t hear anything had no communication from them what so ever. I have emailed them 3 times on 3 different email addresses that have either been on website or original confirmation email and NOTHING. today I get a notification of refund from PayPal with nothing still from them personally to tell me what is going on. I understand the current situation but no communication at all? Not even on the comments of the refund from PayPal ? AVOID.

Looking at the date it was straight after covid had started, which is not an excuse but we really struggled during those times. We had 6 staff, as we still do, and had gone from a handful of order queries to over 3000 in one day. Unfortunately as a result of this our usual customer service suffered and the communication was severely lacking. We are sorry for this and completely understand your frustration.

AVOID

ordered over a week ago, their website claims, orders processed same day before 3pm and delivered within 5 max, I know currently everything is on its head but its been 8 days and ive not even had an email to say its been dispatched. Sent several emails to sales@body, support@body and sales@himark but have had nothing back and dont even attempt to call them. They have taken my money but seem to be MIA. I have now emailed to notify them of legal proceedings, maybe that will get a response.
In short- AVOID WITH LARGE POLE

Terrible service.

Wouldn't bother ordering from this website. Ordered a multi gym which was showing 9 in stock. I called over 20 times and sent 5 emails to receive an email a week later to say the item was not in stock.

We had a small staff and even older systems and the stock management system could not deal with the orders. Unable to make contact with the company? Dead Links on Website?

The 1 star rating is with regards to contact with the business being non-existent.
It also relates to the website signposting to specific areas, such as returns and rights to cancel being dead links. All very suspicious.
The website stipulates an on ‘average 3 working days delivery, 5 maximum’. I find it very hard to believe this is the case.
If you have been unfortunate enough to purchase online, like myself; I wish to inform you that this business address is Bradford but the current Director is a Taiwanese national who resides in Taiwan, trading as Hi Mark International Ltd. A search on UK Government Companies House will display everything you need to know, just in case you need to recover costs. Company No. 02932175.
Perhaps I shall receive an update soon, as to the status of my order. However, I have digested several Trust Pilot reviews and the equipment sounds inferior. I am planning to request a refund, before delivery, if I can contact someone to do so. Wish me luck! I hope this helps your purchasing decisions. March 2020.

Avoid Like The Plague!

Companies to avoid like the plague....Body Scuplture.

I have a Body Sculpture rowing machine. Six weeks ago the resistance bands started wearing through so I contacted them via their website about purchasing some replacements. No reply. So I tried again. No reply.

I tried calling instead and the phone was picked up by someone with a more 'couldn't care less attitude' than I have ever heard before.

Long story short, I tried several times to phone and email before eventually getting hold of someone who told me the new bands would cost £16. So I tried to order some but couldn't.

Three weeks into the saga, they did the only thing that remotely reflects well on them, they sent me the bands free of charge as a gesture of good will because of the issues I had faced.

When the bands arrived, they had no instructions for fitting them. I contacted Body Sculpture again asking for instructions. They sent me the product manual (which I already had) which contains no instructions.

I chased again through numerous calls before being promised that someone would call me last Friday to talk me through installing the bands as they don't do instructions. That call never came.

So, fed up, I decided to attempt installing the bands myself. I thought I had managed but, five minutes into finally using my rower again, two of the three new bands had almost worn through.

I complained again. They tried to call me twice on Monday before emailing me saying that they had tried to contact me on "multiple occasions". I emailed them back explaining that I didn't answer my phone when in meetings but that I would call them today (Friday).

I just made that call and have have my character and my integrity questioned. I was told that it was unfair to question their customer service because. "we are only a small company" (they aren't, they are part of the Taiwanese company Hi Mark International, but they didn't know I knew that).

Now they are refusing to service me anymore. This leaves me with a rower a can't use and the need to purchase a new one so I can train to my normal sessions, not a cheap option especially given the issue with the original rower is with something so basic.

So....if you are buying any fitness or training products be warned and avoid Body Sculpture like the plague. Your custom will not be valued.

Hi James. Thank you for taking the time to write your review and I can completely understand your frustration. Your experience here sounds awful and not something that we would strive to provide. Rower resistance bands should be one of the easiest customer service transactions that we have and yet we seemed to have really dropped the ball on this one.

The attitude you encountered is appalling and I am sorry for that.

It would appear that even the one thing we did right on this occasion we managed to mess up in the execution as well. Really sorry about that James.

Using a small company as an excuse is also not acceptable. Although that statement is correct, we have 6 employees (4 full time) in the UK, we are part of a slightly bigger group in Taiwan which despite the grand name, probably isn't quite as big as it sounds. Regardless of that though, you should have had exemplary customer service as that is something that we pride ourselves on, and yet here it was abysmal.

No one should have questioned your integrity, or failed to return a call.
I am sorry for that.
